Samsung Galaxy Watch FE (40mm, Bluetooth, Black)

My first smart watch so I am flying blind so to speak as I can't compare it to any other one. First impressions are it looks nice (Black face with dark grey strap) and it fells comfortable on. The screen is nice and clear, and there are enough gizmo's to make your head spin if your not used to having all the features. I measured my heartbeat and think the result is pretty accurate, but haven't tried any of the other health things it does. Almost all of the actions are actually set up on your mobile phone, the Samsung wearable app being what you need, it was already on my Samsung A55 phone but different brands will probably need it downloading from the Google play store. My watch arrived with 25% battery life, so it went straight on the wireless charger that comes with it, it took about an hour and ten minutes to go from 14% to 100% charged. I went on Youtube to get ideas about this phone, and one thing that was mentioned was incorrect. There is no facility for wireless share charging, whereby you put the watch on the back of the mobile phone and leech some charge from that. In fact the A15 at almost three times as cheap does have this facility said the Guy on Youtube, but not the A55.So, as I am still exploring what this watch can do, its difficult to say whether or not it is a good smart phone or not, though PC magazine gave it the thumbs up in its review. I am happy with mine so far, so its 4 stars from me, plus for a branded name this model is a lot cheaper than a lot of other branded Smart watches, but without all the extra bells and whistles you'd get on them. It counts steps, tells the time, shows the temp and how much battery life is left those were what I was looking for in a smart watch, plus as I have mentioned, there is ECG, Heart rate, Sleep monitoring (which includes snoring detection!) plus much more that I haven't tried or discovered yet.

I like the various features, in particular the blood pressure feature. However I'm quite disappointed with the battery life. I have done everything possible to optimise battery usage but I still need to charge it everyday. I previously had a fitbit which would easily last 3 or 4 days between charges

Already written one review where I inadvertently called the Watch a Smart Phone! I stand by most of what was written, however having owned the watch for over 3 weeks now, I am not impressed with the battery life! It barely lasts a day and that is with practically everything turned off or down. The health monitor is hardly running at all, just checks my heart rate every 10 minutes, stress is set to manual (never used it though), sleep monitoring is off, ECG never used. On the fitness side, steps is the only activity selected, and the screen is not set to be on all the time. I have changed the face, it shows an analogue face for the time and displays in each of the 4 corners, temp, steps, battery level and date. So even going onto the site Samsung suggested another reviewer go to, in order to get the best out of the battery, has made no difference. in short a nice watch at a reasonable price let down by a very poor battery. My Wife has a cheap £39 Huawei smart watch which lasts fully 8 days between charges and has just as many features as this Samsung on it!!
