I have had many different generations of samsung smartwatches since the first samsung smartwatch. I usually will skip a gen or two in-between to ensure there's a significant upgrade worthy of spending the extra money. My past two watches by samsung was the galaxy watch 3 titanium and the watch 5 pro. The software os and how it responds on the watch ultra is night and day different compared to the previous generation watches. It finally works effortlessly when scrolling through settings or opening apps, there's no longer a lagg or hesitation. It feels more like a finalized product for the software vs the previous models which had much room for improvement. It's nice to see that Samsung didn't just focus on a redesign and actually put the effort in enhancing the user ... MoreI have had many different generations of samsung smartwatches since the first samsung smartwatch. It feels more like a finalized product for the software vs the previous models which had much room for improvement. It's nice to see that Samsung didn't just focus on a redesign and actually put the effort in enhancing the user experience. The design from the pictures and video reviews, it made me skeptical of buying it. But in person and with the help of a few accessories, the watch is actually really nice and feels more like a premium watch rather than a toy like the watch 5 pro felt like. My only complaint really is that they didn't fully wrap the watch housing in the glossy titanium dark gray, the dull, non shiny dark gray along the edges, feels more like plastic than metal and makes it feel cheap at first. I would have preferred if they made that part optional, so you could choose to have a full titanium watch or have one thats part dull plastic look like this one has. That was one of my favorite parts of the watch 3 titanium, is the whole watch was titanium so it made it feel like a very expensive watch. Opposed to this watch. Which feels more like a watch to wear while working out, and not something you would wear when going out to a nice dinner or the clubs. The battery life is really good when running in battery saving mode, you can even configure to keep the health tracking/fitness sensors active or have them off during the battery saving mode. I wear the watch all day and when I'm sleeping, I just top the battery off with a small charge when showering and getting ready for the day in the am, and it charges fast so it's always full everytime I start my day. I would recommend seeing the watch in person, because the colors are slightly different in the photos than in real life. I think they've definitely improved the watch significantly, I just wish they had kept the rotating bezel, this watch has a bezel look alike but it's not functional. If you are thinking about upgrading your watch or switching over from a different watch brand, I would highly recommend it. And there are many ways you can personalize the watch like I did with 3rd party or even samsung accessories.

Feels early to review something as capable as this watch, since I'm still learning what it can do. However, thus far I'm thrilled with the Ultra.I'm coming from a Fitbit Charge 5 so this is a MASSIVE upgrade in capabilities. I love being able to EASILY read texts quickly as they come in to decide whether they require my attention. I even find myself responding to many tests through the watch that require only short answers (up to a sentence or two) as it's surprisingly easy to type on the Watch Ultra.Love the different watch faces and the amount of customization most allow with regards to complications.I'm a big watch person so I find the size of this sucker to be awesome. Seems to be accurate enough for my needs... I can't test it to the same level as some YT scientist reviewers, but my limited testing shows results remarkably consistent with medical grade results taken at the same time while at the doc. Not perfect, but very close and more than adequate for my daily monitoring. My one niggle so far is with the band. After reading a lot of reviews I chose the ultramarine band. It looks good, is comfortable and seems sturdy. But the keeper loop that holds the end just does not stay where I put it despite the bumps of the band seeming as though they should accomplish that. It constantly works it's way towards the buckle, leaving too much tail sticking out to catch on things. I also find it gets dirty easily (I did buy the orange one) and tho it cleans fairly easily it looks dingy way too often. Lastly, I find this band slightly difficult when taking the watch on and off frequently. The style of clasp on my old Fitbit was waaaay easier. This band is thick and relatively stiff and that makes a traditional buckle difficult, especially when the dang keeper loop keeps cuddling up to the buckle.I will also note that the stiffness and angle of attachment of the band make it so that Samsung's Duo wireless charger just will NOT work with the watch unless you remove the band from the watch... which is ridiculous. The original puck works great so that's my solution for now, but if Samsung is going to market a Duo type charger as being compatible with Watch Ultra then they REALLY need to redesign the charger to have a narrower profile so the watch band can actually wrap over the edges of the pad instead of simply lifting the watch off the pad.

Samsung has taken a whole new design to their watch series in this release from the traditional “rounded” style to the alternative “square” styling. This new look is aggressive and moves Samsung into the non-conservative look. While this look is designed for sports and ruggedness, it still pairs really well in a suit and tie in the “Titanium Silver” color as tested. When not in a formal setting, this watch has a number of sporty and gym bound features to support all of the various activities out there. One notable key feature added is the gesture controls and potentially life-saving tools for health-related criteria as a part of it’s bioactive sensor upgrades/changes. One notable key feature added is the gesture controls and potentially life-saving tools for health-related criteria as a part of it’s bioactive sensor upgrades/changes. While one of these has been available outside of the US for some time now, it is great to see here in the US; noting from my use of a Galaxy Watch Classic 5. This is the Samsung Health Monitor; it does require initial and continued calibration to ensure accuracy to a Pulse Ox/Blood Pressure tool. One highly noted health and safety feature added is the sleep apnea detection helps to record sleep patterns and breathing patterns to pass onto your physician and recommend you to see a doctor if need be. This will not change pre-diagnosed findings in an individual of having Sleep Apnea. This is one of Samsung’s current highly noted goals in tracking your own wellness via a wearable. The ”quick button” is customizable, limited to what Samsung feels is the most important and hopefully this will change in the future in one their next feature updates. AS. Of now, it can be set to default to start your workouts or custom to specific workouts, water lock, flashlight, or stopwatch (not in any particular order). The other buttons are still customizable as well.Energy. So far this watch under heavy use if finding itself to last a little over a day, but the watch does need time to calibrate itself to the user. The watch charger uses the current standard of USB-C to charge itself and rapid charges. Energy Score, refers to YOU, looking at your daily activity, sleep, and heart rate data points, and includes tips on wellness.Currently, I have this setup on one of the recommended service providers tied directly with my phone service and have not had any issues or complaints with connectivity. The watch easily switches to WiFi and Bluetooth connection as needed and when selected to.Rugged. Overall this watch does have added thickness compared to my other Galaxy watches and uses a much wider band with dual pin-holes for closure. The included Marine band fits nicely on your wrist while having sweat release areas to let your wrist breath more easily. There are additional bands to purchase if needed to suit your style, use, and need.Overall, Samsung has a way to keep their watch looking classy while being able to support their user in various ways. I can highly recommend this watch as even during my time with it, there’s always something new to learn from the watch itself, through a tip, my exercise routines, and even my sleep patterns.

The Samsung Galaxy Ultra is the most advanced smart watch I've ever had the pleasure of using. Before this I had been previously using the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, and this was showing it's age 3 years after release, as software updates had started to render the watch sluggish. There is no such problem with this watch as the 3nm (5 core) processor keeps this powerhouse running buttery smooth all day long. Apps load instantly and multitasking is a breeze. The design of the watch is considered and exact, with the titanium case feeling solid but also lighweight, which is impressive with how robust and well put together it feels. The ruggedness of the watch is evident and it has stood up to my lifestyle, and the case is yet to even scratch, seemingly very durable. The sapphire crystal display means that it is unlikely the screen will be easily scratched, and that was certainly my experience with the watch. In the regards to the display, the 2" AMOLED panel is so very vibrant. There is no problems reading this display, even in direct sunlight, which is so refreshing and unlike even many premium phone displays. The ability to read in direct sunlight is also helpful when either using it for exercise tracking, or following directions with Maps. The battery on this watch is one of the most impressive features. I didn't use it for sleep tracking, but even using it with the always on display on at all times I was still going to bed with over 65% of battery, despite taking it off charge at 7am in the morning. This is helpful for occassions when charging would be inconvinient and longevity is key.In summary, this powerhouse of a watch fully deserves the 5 stars I've given it. My only gripe with this iteration is of the premium samsung watch line doesn't have a physical rotating bezel, which given the price point I think it should've been included.

Trying to capitalize on the “Ultra” name from its competitor aside, the Galaxy Watch ‘Ultra’ is taking the place of the ‘Classic’ from previous generations. Sadly this does not also take the amazing rotating bezel from the classic series. But that would be my only complaint. The screen is amazingly bright and crisp. I’ve had a galaxy watch of one form or another since the Galaxy watch 3. And my favorites have been the classic with its nice large diving watch kind of style and the nice rotating bezel making for easy use when wearing gloves. If you’ve owned any Samsung watch from the last couple of years feature wise it’s not all that different here, you still have all the same sports and exercise features, maps and media playback, but with the larger screen replying to messages on device is much easier with its full keyboard and swipe typing capabilities. A 3rd button joins the 2 familiar buttons from before with this new one being partially programmable for different features, from exercise selection, a flashlight (turns the face white and ramps the brightness to max, kind of handy with how bright the ultra can get, an instant water lock button if you swim often, or a stop watch for those that run laps, or do other competitive timed events.I myself am not a big fitness freak, one look at me could tell you that, but I appreciate the reminders to get up and move around because my job has me at a desk for most of my day, and the little buzz is a good reminder to go stretch my legs and move for a bit. Keeps you from getting sore when stuck in an office. My favorite feature of all however is GPS and navigation. I ride motorcycle and don’t really care to have my phone on a mount on the bike because If something goes bad on a ride, I rather not also have to replace a $1000+ phone on top of medical bills and bike repairs, so I use my watch for gps navigation. Also it keeps the oled screen of the phone safe in a pocket from direct sunlight. I can just wear the watch face on the inside of my wrist so it’s facing down while I ride, but I can quickly turn my wrist to check the map, and the turn by turn instructions can go to my earbud via Bluetooth. And since the whole watch is cellular connected I can easily just leave my phone behind altogether if I don’t need to for wherever I am going because I am still connected and reachable.I’d dock points for copying the name, but honestly the moment the competitor chose that name I knew Samsung would do it too, they both keep taking each others ideas year after year. This is no different, but with Samsung even if you don’t decide to fork over the extra money for this model you get most of the features aside from the action button in the others this year. Just a little smaller screen and less battery. If your using an android, and want a watch for fitness or fun, or just to be able to leave the phone behind to keep yourself from doomscrolling TikTok the Samsung watch is a great choice.

[Rewarded Review] Finally a watch that suits my needs

I'm not fit or sporty, actually I'm barely active, but that's something I'm trying to improve. So while the watch can and will track my gym activity as well as health stats it's not what I'm most excited about. That said, I'm almost 50 and just having been diagnosed with high blood pressure so I'm very happy to have a very easy way to keep a constant eye on it. The added ECG and other data the Watch 7 Ultra can generate will probably make my GP happy too when I next go in for my annual checkup.Anyway, I didn't get the watch to make other people happy, I got it to make me happy and it certainly does that. Messages and notifications are displayed clearly, I can load it up with music or stream directly to my earbuds, and with an LTE subscription I no longer need to ... MoreI'm not fit or sporty, actually I'm barely active, but that's something I'm trying to improve. Messages and notifications are displayed clearly, I can load it up with music or stream directly to my earbuds, and with an LTE subscription I no longer need to take my phone with me when I go out, since I can use Samsung Pay directly from the watch as well as make and receive calls and everything else that comes with a data plan. This watch is a fine way to reduce my screen time and social media doom-scrolling simply by leaving my phone at home, and this has had a positive impact on my mental health as well as being more present when I'm out with friends, while at the same time still being in contact and contactable. The only downside I have found is that it is a lot more expensive than the Watch 7 base model, but I have no regrets and wouldn't change it for anything since the size. weight and general feel is very comfortable to me. Perhaps more tellingly, I've been trying to upgrade from my ancient (for technology) Galaxy Gear S3 Classic for at least the past 3 years and no matter which watch I try I always go back to the Classic. This time however there has been no such desire and I'm finally happy with a watch that can do everything the old one can but better as well as the new functionality that wasn't available for the old watch. If there was one thing I'd like to see added it would be the rotating bezel, but the digital equivalent of rotating my finger around the screen is an adequate substitute and it's hardly like the Watch 7 is lacking in ways to control it. I suppose that it'd lose at least some amount of water resistance if more moving parts were added and I rather like being able to wear it in the pool as I start my fitness journey.

The Samsung Galaxy Ultra Watch is a fantastic upgrade to my Samsung Galaxy Watch. The Ultra has such a smart design and super functionality. One of the standout features is the activity tracking. I’m impressed at the way it automatically detects my walking, running, and work-out activities. The health monitoring are my favourite features. I enjoy monitoring my sleep tracking, and stress management data. The sleep tracking feature provides detailed insights into your sleep patterns, helping you understand the quality of your rest. The stress management tool uses heart rate information to gauge your stress levels and offers guided breathing exercises to help you relax. The Ultra’s integration with Samsung Health allows you to analyze your performance, track your progress over time, and even participate in fitness challenges with friends. The connectivity with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and BudsPro 3 lets you listen to your music, receive notifications, and stay connected all whilst continuing your workout. One of the major differences between the Samsung Galaxy Ultra Watch and the Watch 5, is the enhanced display. The screen is sharper and brighter, with a higher res, which makes it much easier to read notifications on the screen, and track my fitness data. The Ultra Watch has an improved battery life from the Watch 5, I notice it lasts for several days on one charge which I am so grateful for particularly given my usage throughout the day and all through the night for my sleep activity tracking. Overall, the Samsung Galaxy Ultra Watch is a significant upgrade from the Watch 5, with a better display, battery life, and connectivity features. The connectivity of the Ultra Watch with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and BudsPro 3 makes it fantastic for staying connected and productive on the go
.I would not hesitate to recommend the Samsung Galaxy Ultra Watch to family and friends.

I was intrigued by the Samsung Galaxy Ultra Titanium Smartwatch primarily because I found my Pixel watch, while a great watch too, a bit "boring" stylistically. The Galaxy Ultra watch has a bit of pizzazz and features a nice, large 47mm screen (41mm on the Pixel 2). It is also a thicker, heavier watch but the weight feels balanced on your wrist. The "BioActive sensor" on this watch is top notch. Per Samsung, the BioActive sensor "more accurately measures health metrics such as heart rate, sleep quality, blood pressure, blood oxygen levels and stress levels. Per Samsung, the BioActive sensor "more accurately measures health metrics such as heart rate, sleep quality, blood pressure, blood oxygen levels and stress levels. Even the measurement of heart rate during intensive workouts is 30% more accurate compared to its predecessor." Given this Ultra watch is marketed toward those with active or outdoor lifestyles, improvements to accuracy are important for those who track their heartrate, O2, sleep, etc. I did find that my watch wanted me to slide the watch slightly UP my arm to get the most accurate readings, however. Given the weight and size of this watch, it is only natural, then for the watch to slide back down the wrist away from the optimal touchpoint for sensor readings. However, the watchband is very adjustable and comfortable so finding the right "tightness" on the proper spot on your arm for the watch shouldn't be too difficult unless you have fairly thin wrists. Nonetheless, this watch is bonkers if you want a device to help monitor your health and activities! The higher-end materials help push this watch up in price. The storage, processor, and display resolution on the Ultra are the same as the Galaxy 7 watch (44mm version) so the main upgrade over the 7 is the larger capacity battery (590mAh vs. 425mAh) and the higher durability rating (to which I cannot speak to as I am not willing to test "breaking" this watch!)...in addition to the superior materials. The battery has the ability to last well over 24 hours but a lot of that depends on how you set up the watch services--starting with whether or not you "always on" the display. Out of the box, with no real configuration other than to make the watch pair with my phone and my Google account, I drained the battery faster than expected and was caught off guard. Changing the display to "adaptive" and "always on" to off, coupled with Bluetooth ON and wi-fi OFF significantly improved the battery life and gets me well beyond 24 hours. 0%-100% charging seems to take about 2 hours. The "fitness" tools are front and center on this watch and record tons of data. I don't have the means to speak to their accuracy (especially while tracking sleep habits) but the bottom line is you can quickly identify trends and baselines to help improve your workouts and routines. The GPS seems accurate, and I really like the default watchface which includes an always accessible compass. Speaking of faces, there is a fairly decent selection of watchfaces included in the Samsung Wear app. I will admit that I wish this watch would integrate with an Android phone w/o the need to use the Samsung app, but that's just how it is.Setup was easy, although I did have to run through the process twice simply because I screwed up and tried to recover settings from another Samsung watch account unintentionally. I did bump the font size up a notch during setup to help me read the screen with a little less effort. Once I had the watch properly connected to my phone and configured in the Wear app, though, I have not had to touch the app on my phone. One other random thought, the actual screen is slightly recessed. If the watch ever falls and lands face down on a flat, smooth surface, that little bit of a recess should help prevent scratches or cracks. Another nice feature is a "siren" alarm (that I did not test) that will apparently make a VERY LOUD alert to help find you if you need help. It is worth nothing, however, that the siren is not automatically linked to any SOS/911 features.Although bulky, I like the styling of the watch--as well as its features--enough to think that I will make this my daily watch moving forward. If the pricepoint doesn't scare you away, the only real concern you should have is will this bulkier watch feel comfortable all day long on your wrist. Assuming you don't struggle with "normal" watches slipping or fitting correctly, the Samsung Ultra Titanium Watch should make you very happy especially if you had battery issues with previous watches and if you enjoy tracking your health and exercise activities.

[Rewarded Review] Truly an Ultra Smartwatch.

Having now used the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra for 24hrs, I am providing my initial thoughts on this product and will be sure to update if i find anything changes.First I will start by saying this is not my first Samsung Watch, having previously owned the Galaxy Watch 46mm and then the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro previously. This is my favourite out of the 3 and also my favourite watch Samsung have ever made thanks to the new premium design and even better build quality with the Watch Ultra being made out of Grade 4 titanium. At launch the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra has 3 different styles of straps sold directly by Samsung; Marine Band (grey one in picture - this is the one you usually get in the box), Trail Band (orange one in picture - received as part of a pre-order ... MoreHaving now used the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra for 24hrs, I am providing my initial thoughts on this product and will be sure to update if i find anything changes.First I will start by saying this is not my first Samsung Watch, having previously owned the Galaxy Watch 46mm and then the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro previously. All 3 styles come in a variety of colours to suit. These straps all use a new connection system to attach to the watch, which i personally love as its easier than ever to quickly switch straps however does mean you are unable to use your current collection. The next thing i immediately noticed using the Galaxy Watch Ultra is that do to software optimisations and the new processor and higher ram that previous models, the watch is just overall faster, with smoother transitions when switching apps and also feels like the screen size has been increased massively (even though it physically hasn't) as the watch feels easier to use than previous models. Its also worth noting the Galaxy Watch Ultra uses a new sensor system with 13 sensors now on the back of the device, in my limited testing so far i have noticed this to be way more reliable and the watch seems to record information such as heartrate and stress levels consistently (in previous models i have often found gaps in the data). I also really like the addition of the energy score meaning i can quickly view each morning what my activity and sleep etc was lilke the previous day so i know what i need to improve.I am truly impressed with the build quality, design, the software integration and even the premium watch bands offered by this watch, this is Truly an Ulltra Smartwatch.

[Rewarded Review] Ultra quality even if you aren't a workout nut

Initially, when I was shopping online, I was unsure if I would want the Ultra version versus the standard Watch 7. Some of the reasons being that the cost is twice as much, it comes in only one large size of 47mm (40 and 44 for the Watch 7), and it is thicker and didn’t seem as sleek in comparison. For further reference, I already own the Watch 4 in a 40mm variant and it looks good on my thin wrist. However, I went into a physical Best Buy and compared the Ultra and 7 and even tried them on. I must say, the Ultra grew on me and it doesn’t feel as big as it seems on spec sheets.Seeing as it only comes in an LTE version, I tested out the setup with my phone carrier (T-Mobile) and it couldn’t have been easier to connect and select a plan. I should point out that you do not need to set this up as you can use it as a standalone watch or just connect it via Bluetooth to your phone assuming you have an android or a Samsung Galaxy (my preference).Speaking of connecting to an android (not compatible with iPhone), you can adjust all watch settings right from your phone using the Wear app. This takes some of the pressure off if you feel it to be cumbersome making adjustments within the watch itself. Now let’s get to the main reason to own this watch: the health features. It has the typical heart rate, daily activities, workouts, etc. that most are already familiar with. I personally like to keep track of my sleeping habits. Especially the sleep apnea feature and blood oxygen levels. For those with a spouse/partner that says you snore at night but don’t believe them, there is a ‘snore detection’ feature that will record 30 seconds of snoring that you can hear for yourself. With regards to workout settings, the watch can be programmed to automatically detect any workouts and start recording them or you can operate those manually. I personally set up ‘boxing’, ‘bike indoor’, and ‘circuit training’ as my go to workouts. From what I see, you can also put together a whole workout routine in ‘multisport’ by selecting different exercises, break times, and workout timed intervals.Overall, although I may not be the avid workout enthusiast this watch is intended for, I am very happy with the Ultra version.
