The new Interpreter feature is something I look forward to using more of with friends who speak multiple languages.I can honestly say that the Fold 6 has truly surpassed my expectations of Samsung's flawless hardware quality and impressive software with One UI! My favorite features center around it's help in getting jumbled ideas and thoughts out of my head. Like the sketch to image feature that can take my questionable artistic skill and make something often quite beautiful. I use it often to help visualize and illustrate my thoughts.I'll take an upgrade that improves it's best features while limiting it's flaws over one with splashy new features that may or may not work or be useful any day. The Z- Fold 6 is legitimately a fine tuned flagship phone that's finally worthy of adjective.

Samsung's seamless software experience is certainly something to be celebrated. However, it's important to have hardware that complements the software's capabilities. Striking a balance between these two aspects is crucial for an overall satisfying user experience. Ultimately, the goal is to have devices that are both enjoyable and reliable in the long run, which I feel Samsung has failed to achieve for three years straight including this year. If the phone were wider, the camera had flagship specs, and the battery were larger like the Chinese foldable phones on the market, this would be a moot point. They gotta find a way to make their devices both fun to use and reliable in the long run. It's been three years, and they still haven't nailed it. If they made the phone wider, gave it a better camera, and a bigger battery like those Chinese foldable phones, it would be a game-changer. But the real bummer is the lack of S Pen support on the cover screen. That would be perfect for a narrow screen like that.

The fingerprint reader and the face scan is just as we would expect from any smartphone from today. The phone opens and closes with the greatest of ease. The phone is responsive and does the bare minimum that you would expect from any phone from any product. If your primary reason to get this phone is anything similar to mine, then you will be happy with your purchase.Unfortunately, the cons outweigh the pros. Just for starters, the battery takes extremely long to charge. The battery also discharges faster than your typical phone. When you combine these two things together, you're actually inconvenienced with low power and having long charge times at the same time. The camera isn't the best either, so if you wanted this to capture pictures or video, you're better off with a different phone. That being said, I am happy with my product and I continue to use it to this day. I know what to expect and work around the flaws.
As far as AI goes, I am hesitant about this as a new technology because it opens a can of worms with security. I have been too skeptical to use any of those functions. The phone I can give a full review on; It has been extremely helpful to me, especially when it comes to my job. I travel for work, so not needing to tote a tablet and phone (plus their bulky accessories) saves weight and space in my bag. The internal screen is great for watching movies in flight and it is fabulous for working on projects. Allowing the extra space to use 2 full screen apps at the same time has made my productivity go up and reduces my time to get some of my work done. Allowing the extra space to use 2 full screen apps at the same time has made my productivity go up and reduces my time to get some of my work done. Since I'm almost never nome this device allows me a perfect workspace alternative. It's also very durable and has handled my active on-the-go life so well.Unfortunately, I have encountered some drawbacks, for one, this thing is pretty heavy and bulky. With a case on, it hardly fits in my pocket or my purse. It is also very hard to find a reliable and attractive case. I know that creating a hinged case is troublesome, but since I've had this device I have burnt through 5 cases so far, and they are not cheap to be breaking within 6 months. Also the internal screen collects dust and the screen protectors peel off along the center crease. With that, the hinge on the side of the phone has collected a surplus of dust and debris and my device no longer opens completely. Overall it's great, but I'm excited for the next generation.
I've been using the device for nearly nine months now, and I'm pleased with my purchase thus far. As a new Android user, I conducted research before ordering the phone, and there are several aspects of the device that I appreciate. The build quality of the device is impressive, and its features have met all of my expectations. I particularly enjoy the folding capability, which eliminates the need to carry a bulky device with a large screen. The split-screen and multitasking features are also excellent additions. The battery life is impressive, lasting through my tasks for extended periods, and the fast charging capability is remarkable. Furthermore, the camera and photography editing features are robust. I love all the Galaxy AI features, the circle for search, video/photo editing and the call translation. The call translation feature is so insane. Watching movies on the device is enjoyable, thanks to its excellent screen quality. However, there are still areas where improvements could be made. A lighter weight without compromising specifications would make it a must-buy device for me. The fingerprint sensor could be more sensitive, and enhancing this technology would be fantastic. While the screen quality is superb, the touch screen occasionally lacks responsiveness during multi-touch interactions. Additionally, I'm interested in applying a privacy screen protector to the large screen but unsure if this option is available.
As an IT professional in charge of multiple properties It's essential for me to have a device that can access all the websites and tools I need any given day, many of which don't have dedicated applications or even mobile interfaces available. With the Galaxy Fold that's not an issue because I simply unfold the device and view the desktop version of the application and continue about my work day!On the flip side when the applications are used do support mobile modes or have dedicated apps I take advantage of the split screen functionality and have two apps open at once that I can easily share data between rather than constantly tabbing back and forth between them. They really makes all the difference in any repetitive tasks you need to complete during the day!As far as aesthetics go this phone is so much nicer in the hand than my old Galaxy Fold 4, and I love that it finally closes completely without the additional gap near the hinge! When it's fully closed it is barely thicker than a standard Galaxy s24 and the new screen ratio is much more in line with a standard device versus the narrower front screens that were found on its predecessors. Overall I love all the new tweaks they made to this line to make it more familiar and more usable at the same time.Outside of work tasks I've been enjoying the new cameras and Galaxy AI features! The camera is a improvement over the Galaxy Fold 4 and the ability to quickly manipulate images with AI is phenomenal!
This was the first time I came into contact with a flip phone. Never had one before thus I was quite excited to try it out hoping it would be good enough to keep albeit the already bad reviews. First off, I love the concept very much and I actually had fun with it for the one week I was using it. It was nice, compact, when I go on walks, it was light enough I can hook it to my lanyard to put it around my neck/hand or I can tuck it in my pants pocket, and it will never fall out even when I run. I enjoy the outer screens as well with the convenience of checking weathers, calendar, timer, playing music, etc. although I had to download 3rd party app GoodLock to unlock more ways to use the small screen. Mini games and other apps were able to be access on the front outer screen thru GoodLock. The crease on the inner screen isn't noticeable when you stare straight at the screen but you will see it at other angles. As I use the phone, I forget that its there or sometimes I run my finger over it feeling amaze at the tech itself, thus it was not a big deal to me.Drawbacks are that if you want to play the other real games or grant permissions/verifications to certain websites/apps/programs, it requires you flip to the inner big screen just to hit yes. Also, when you answer a call in cover screen, it will only allow you to be in speaker mode. I think it would be nice if they give you an option to set where even when you watch a video/using apps/calls and close the inner screen, the video/apps/calls will continue to play/move to the cover screen. Though overall, its a fairly creative phone. Now the real dealbreaker for me is the quality of this phone. I made two purchases for the Flip5 phones to get the promotional discounts and both phones has small defects on them. The first phone, (just to clarify, I never drop nor mishandle the phone as I only either go on walks or stay indoors majority of time), after one week of used, the black trim that surround the inner screen easily pop out on one side as I flip it open. The second phone that I received has a loose hinge issue. While the first phone did not have any problem with the hinge, so I compare both phones. The second phone cannot stay open or hold in place at specific angles or flex modes but the first phone can because of the tighter hinge. Both phones have small defects coming out of the box, so it makes me question the quality of these phones for long term usage and I rather not waste more time going through repair processes later. Even with the discounts along with my trade-in, I rather spend $800-$900 on a more solid phone. I really want to love this phone because of all of its convenience features, but its very important that a phone has reliability and durability, thus I returned both Flip5 Phones. I will not recommend this phones to others. If you want to get this phone, do so at your own risk. Who knows, you may be one of the lucky few with damage-free flip5.I have no doubt Samsung will improve the Z Flip in the future, but for now, I think its still too soon for me to own a Flip phone with this quality.
My initial foldable device was the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, which I acquired upon its release in September 2022. Regrettably, after approximately a year of usage, the device experienced a malfunction due to air accumulating within the gap of the primary display. Consequently, I obtained a discounted replacement, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, from T-Mobile in September of the subsequent year. Similar to my previous device, the Fold 5 has proven to be exceptional in terms of performance and durability. Despite accidental drops onto concrete surfaces, it has remained unscathed. The device exhibits reliability, swift performance, exceptional brightness, and an array of practical and enjoyable features while holding its' charge for a sufficient amount of time. However, I must acknowledge a few concerns. Under bright lighting conditions, the main screen displays noticeable indentations. Additionally, the device tends to generate significant heat during multitasking or when deactivating power-saving mode. I attribute this to the numerous third-party and first-party applications running concurrently in the background. Nonetheless, the device effectively manages to cool down to a more comfortable temperature, demonstrating its intelligent design.By the way, I let the built-in Galaxy AI feature rewrite my review in a 'professional' writing style!
The most immediately noticeable upgrade in the Fold 6 is the wider cover screen. It is absolutely beautiful. I'm not sure exactly how many millimeters wider it is than it's predecessor, but regardless of the number, the effect is significant. No longer do I find myself opening my phone for every simple action, as the cover screen no longer feels awkward or uncomfortable to use. This makes a monumental difference to me, because I've noticed in using the main display less for quick, simple tasks, i conserve a noticable amount of battery life by the end of the day.Another design change i absolutely love are the sharp 90 degree corners, as opposed to the rounded corners in generations previous. It gives the phone a more elegant, definitive shape that feels more secure during one-handed use. While talking about the main screen, let me tell you- presumably due to the different type of glass, the colors (and particularly blacks) look INCREDIBLE. It truly is a joy to use this phone to watch videos or edit pictures.Lastly, the software upgrade and implementation of Galaxy AI is gamechanging. I can't tell you how big of a quality-of-life upgrade it is to have AI translate my messaging apps chats in real time, while I'm communicating with friends that don't speak English fluently. Also, the photo editing AI features are honestly far more useful than I originally imagined. Finally, and probably my favorite AI feature(s) is the note organization, formatting and recording abilities.
