(dog and people hair plus some tracked in dirt/sand that was stepped in, took a few passes, but still managed) It's also not excessively loud, my infant daughter is most intrigued by it and watches us intently, whereas she was frightened/we had to put some hearing protecting on her if we wanted to use our "big" corded vacuum. The ONLY downside I have to this vacuum is the charging/mounting unit, which is why I gave it 4/5 instead of 5/5. Some folks do not want to mount a vacuum and just want it hidden in a closet until use, with a battery charger in the corner maybe out of the way. (The charger mount is a neat idea IF you plan on mounting, since you can charge the battery by itself or leave it in the vacuum and charge through the vacuum without removing the battery)

Additionally, while the low profile vacuum head allows for vacuuming of tight spaces, it really limits the debris size that can be vacuumed up. There are three power levels to vacuum at, low, mid, and max. The mid level does ok but I definitely preferred running the vacuum on the max setting. Unfortunately running at the max significantly reduced the runtime of the vacuum to about 7 minutes, and with only one battery included, this means you're out of luck until it recharges. I did like using the vacuum to reach high spots around the house that tend to collect dust and cobwebs. The light weight of the vacuum and the extension crevice tool made it easy to get to those hard to reach areas without having to pull out a step stool. This is where the lightness of the vacuum really shined, as I was able to go around the entire house vacuuming corners and vents without my arm ever getting tired from holding the vacuum up in the air. Overall, after several days of use, I feel that the performance of this vacuum is just ok / average, especially compared to others on the market. There is definitely room for improvement. Pros - super lightweight - good suction / power - quiet - low profile vacuum head (reaches under tight spots) - brush spool (jet fit brush) is easy to remove for cleaning Cons - non-telescoping wand - emptying of canister - battery life - only comes with one battery - no stand option included (only wall mount) - suction head rides really low to the ground making it difficult to vacuum pieces of debris - small brush spool (jet fit brush) allows for hair to quickly get wrapped up around it

Which leads me to this…. The wall mount option is nice only if you actually have a place on wall with an electrical outlet near the area! I don’t so that is not going to work for me, and I like to stand my vacuums up in my utility closet – that is not happening with this vacuum because it doesn’t actually stand on its own! That is a big CON for me with any vacuum – it needs to stand on its own! The Dustbin and filters are easy enough to disassemble to clean, however they are small – as this is a smaller cordless vacuum. It fills up quickly with cat hair when vacuuming our family room and is more difficult to use in this room as there is a higher pile carpet here. The bedrooms have a low pile so it is easier to maneuver there, as it is on the bare floor areas. So, this is a small lightweight cordless vacuum that is good for smaller areas – for a backup cordless or corded vacuum. It is not as good as another branded cordless vacuum that I own and love, and the price is higher than others on the market that I think are much better. I would ONLY recommend it to someone who doesn’t care about price point but wanted a vacuum that can be hung on a mount in a laundry room and mainly used for smaller areas. This is not something I feel would be a great “main” vacuum.

The battery has indicator lights that let you know how much battery life is left. Samsung claims 40 minutes of run time however this is only achieved if using the vacuum at its lowest suction level and without a motorized attachment. Since most people will use this to vacuum carpet and floors the run time is significantly less. I would say at most 15 minutes. It takes around 3.5 hours to charge the battery. This makes the vacuum good for small quick cleanups or a very small cleaning area. In order to charge the battery, it has to be inserted in the wall mount that comes with the unit. There is no charging port on the battery itself and this is cumbersome if you do not intend to mount the charging station and hang the vacuum. It would be much better if you could charge the battery by itself. The vacuum is lightweight and well balanced however the main brush head only has very small wheels on the front of the head and no wheels in the back so it makes it harder to maneuver than most other cordless vacuums. The dust bin is large and has a number of filters that can be cleaned and washed. The one thing I do not like about the dust bin is that you have to remove it from the motor assembly and unscrew the top of it in order to empty it and replacing it is a bit difficult until you get used to it. The instructions do not explain this process well at all. One thing I wished this vacuum had were LED lights on the power brush. Most vacuums in this price range offer them and I find them very useful. Although the vacuum seems to perform well enough the limited run time and lack of some features keeps me from recommending this vacuum at this price point as I feel there are better options out there that provide better performance and ease of use for the money.

This Pet 60 model comes with the Jet Fit Brush for floors, and a mini motorized upholstery head for furniture and stairs. Also included are a multifunction brush and a crevice tool. This Model 60 is lighter to carry and lighter in the hand than the 75. That weight difference is in the battery weight and the brush head. However I find neither model very heavy. As for cleaning, this 60 model does well on smooth floors and good on carpet. I actually received just slightly over 23 minutes of continuous cleaning using the motorized Jet Fit Brush with the motor set at the medium (default) speed. I find ... I actually received just slightly over 23 minutes of continuous cleaning using the motorized Jet Fit Brush with the motor set at the medium (default) speed. I find the Medium speed is perfect for most cleaning and if something doesn’t pick up I just switch it to High for a moment and then back to Medium to prolong the battery. The power button and speed controls are right at your thumb position and easy to use. This model does not include the electronic display to show which speed was selected. The Model 75 does include an electronic display. I was able to cover most of the floors (both carpet and hard) in my 2 story home including the carpeted stairs in the 23 minutes before it stopped from a dead battery. Recharge time is roughly 3-3.5 hours to full charge. The Jet Fit brush on the model 60 is light in weight and uses a revolving bristled brush with 2 rows of bristles. It works well but it does collect hairs and threads around the bristles. I actually had to remove the roller and use scissors to cut the hairs and threads off the brush after two uses. It’s not hard to remove the roller, it’s just another hassle. Comparing it to the Turbo Action Brush on my 75 model, I rarely have to clean the brush roller because of its different design using 4 rows of shorter bristles which also seem to pick up better than this model. The wall bracket which not only holds the vacuum but also charges it makes this vacuum easy to grab and use. Just return it to the bracket so it’s ready for the next cleaning. If you don’t have wall space, use the included charger on a shelf or table to charge the battery after you remove it from the vacuum. It’s not as convenient as hanging the unit on the wall bracket, but still not a big issue. The dust bin is easy to remove and empty into the garbage can. If you are afraid of the dust created from dumping into your garbage can, just slide a plastic grocery bag over the container and flip it upside down while holding the bag around the container. It makes for a no mess no dust way to empty the container. Conclusion: This is a good lightweight stick vacuum at the lowest price point of the Samsung Jet series. It works well and is more than adequate for most cleaning on bare floors, carpet, furniture, and stairs. The 20 plus minutes of run time on Medium is adequate, but you may need to split your cleaning up and recharge. The brush roll does collect hairs and could be a bigger issue with Pet hair. If that is a concern, step up to the Samsung Jet 75 series that utilize a Turbo Action brush which is less prone to wrap hair and picks up debris a little better. Keep in mind the 75 will also offer a longer run time due to its larger battery and a slightly more powerful motor.

The Dyson is probably around double the price but is significantly more powerful on max but the battery life is awful, only giving 5-6 minutes which isn’t useable.. The Samsung is much better in that the battery lasts so much longer but more importantly, it has the option of swapping the battery so any run time issues are solved. With the Dyson, there’s no swappable battery so you have to leave it to charge for several hours! The pros of the 90 Pro: 1) swappable battery - really good battery life and a second battery was included free. 2) Fairly good suction (not quite as much as the Dyson but good enough) 3) ... The pros of the 90 Pro: 1) swappable battery - really good battery life and a second battery was included free. 2) Fairly good suction (not quite as much as the Dyson but good enough) 3) Good range of accessories 4) optional clean station is interesting and mostly works but struggles to empty the canister when full 5) good on hard floors 6) nice stand for the cleaner and accessories 7) seems to charge fairly quickly (but I’ve not timed it) Cons: 1) The hard plastic handle and trigger is extremely uncomfortable for longer cleans - both me and my other half get very sore and red compression marks on our hands/fingers. This is down to the very hard plastic and handle design. Could be improved by a re-design. 2) The main turbo head is REALLY BAD at picking up dog hair - it’s the same head as included on the ‘pet’ model, so not sure how Samsung can market that as a pet model when it just doesn’t pick hair up well (or at all!). I have to go over the hair 4-5 times. It seems to pick t up at first but then deposits it at the end of a backward sweep of the carpet.. highly frustrating. Not tried the mini head though but that’s not suitable for large carpet areas. our carpets are brand new man-made but fairly short pile. Maybe other carpets would do better but I doubt it. The Dyson V10 is much better at picking up hair although it seems to get more tangled in the roller than the Samsung. 3) More of a minor point - I’m 6ft3in tall and the extension tube doesn’t seem quite long enough so I tend to crouch a little when vacuuming- a little uncomfortable and would be solved if the tube extension was longer 4) The vacuum is fairly heavy - probably why we get such sore hands/fingers over a slightly longer clean 5) dust container is very small so needs more regular emptying. Dyson is probably 2-3 times bigger and has a better emptying procedure. With the Samsung clean station, you have to take it off to put onto the clean station to then clean. That not difficult but adds a few extra steps. The Bespoke model has this all integrated I believe for a much simpler process. Most of the other reviews here seems to be part of a promotion so not sure I trust them. No one here seems to have reviewed in much depth. Overall, I like it - some nice design features but would be so much better if it was more comfortable to use and picked up hair better.

The Jet 60 is Samsung's current entry-level cordless stick vac model (with 70, 90, and Bespoke levels rounding things out), and the Pet version is the highest 60 version (well, of two, which it just includes more attachments), Overall, the design is pretty much exactly the same. The only difference is the tube being a bit thinner overall on the new Jet 60 (just the outside, the inside is the same diameter). And the Jet 60 comes with a bit smaller, differently designed motorized brush head (the Jet Fit Brush). I'm not sure what kind of a difference it makes, but the bristle rows are not angled as much. I do like the smaller design, and it is a bit quieter than the 70's Turbo Action Brush, but the bristles use seem to get fur and (and my wife's long) hair entangled around it more quickly (I had to remove and clean it just after the first time using it). At least the way the roller is removed makes it very easy to get out and remove the fur and hair (slide a little lever on the side and it pops right out). It also comes with several accessories that can be used with or without the main 27" tube: a long reach crevice tool (that extends another 6.5"), a combination tool (sliding dusting brush), and a mini motorized tool. The mini motorized tool is still the same design as the older one, which I was hoping would be a little better this time around. With the way it was designed, the rotating brush really doesn't come in contact with the surface (it has some plastic guards). While it was eventually able to get most of the embedded cat fur in the cat trees (that they seem to spend a lot of time in), I had to use the Max section mode (more on the modes in a moment). The motor is similar, but there may be some changes with it as the sound at the differeny suction levels are a little different pitch. At Mid, it sound a little quieter overall, but that may also be attributed to the different, smaller motorized brush head. The power is still decent enough to get the dust and fur around, but as with most rechargeable vacuums, the higher the power level, the less time you have to run (more or later). There are two suction control buttons, to go between Min, Mid and Max, but there is no display to tell which mode is active. The removable (which is still a plus) battery is still the same capacity (21.6V/1.6Ah) as the older Jet 70 (was hoping it would be at least a little more), and will last for up to 40 minutes, but when only running on Min and probably only hard flooring. When running on Max and using the mini motorized tool, I found that it only ran for about 7-8 minutes. Mid will probably get about 15-20 minutes or so. Now, you could buy an extra battery to swap out, but for the price, I think waiting to recharge isn't that bad. The charging dock is wall-mountable and can keep two accessories attached. When mounted, you can place the whole vacuum head in to charge the battery, or you can remove the battery and charge it by itself (which could be handy if you do not have a place to mount the dock). If not mounting, the accessory holder flips to the back so the charging dock on a table or counter and still store the two accessories. One thing I was hoping would be a bit better this time was the packaging protection around the motor head, but unfortunately, I was still disappointed. There was still no protection of all the parts on all sides. Just imagine sitting an object in a bowl and placing it in a box where when the box lid was closed, it is touching the object with no other support around the top. That is basically how it is (and was) packed. I could see where the dust bin was rubbing against the outer box panel, but luckily it was not damaged more during shipping. While this isn't quite the one to clean an entire house (unless you live in one of those mini houses you see on TV), if you need a cordless quick vac to do some quick cleaning, this is definitely one to consider.

The product package states that the battery lasts up to 40 minutes. But when I use it on lowest power setting, I get about 24 minutes before the battery gives out. On full suction power, I only get around 6 minutes of charge. The battery charges quite slowly. After a small job of just a few minutes it takes around half an hour to recharge fully and after a job that depletes the battery completely it takes several hours to recharge fully. This means that it’s really not useful for a whole house cleaning, for that you probably need a corded vacuum. But if you had a small apartment or dorm room it might work fine. Otherwise, it’s mainly useful for spot cleaning and small cleanup jobs like vacuuming the stairs or your car. The dust collection bin is a reasonable size given the battery life, you are likely to run down the battery before the bin is full. The bin consists of 3 parts, one of which is a HEPA filter, and is easy to detach, empty, and clean by rinsing with water. There is a jet of air that comes out of both sides of the vacuum. I mention it because I have experienced these jets blowing dust up into the air while cleaning in especially dusty areas or when vacuuming near loose papers, like on a desk, the papers can get blown around. Overall, the Samsun Jet 60 works quite well, but my biggest complaint is the lack of battery life. I’ve owned other cordless vacuums and getting around 24 minutes of charge time is actually pretty good in comparison.

My current vacuum has both the soft roller brush head and the carpet brush head, but I do have to swap them out when appropriate; the Slim Turbo Action Brush is both of those things, and it works great overall. And yes, it is very slim enough to get under couches and hard to reach places. The Jet 60 Pet variant comes with the Mini Motorized Tool to help remove fine dust and pet hair on furniture, typically where I find my cats hanging out. It has little issues clumping and removing my cat’s dander as there is lint remover material alongside the roller brush to further help the removal of unwanted dander stuck onto furniture. The Jet 60 is not bright and fancy; it doesn’t tell you what speed setting you’re on, it doesn’t tell you how much runtime you have left…it doesn’t tell you anything, to be honest. The only indicator you have is the 3 blue led lights on the battery itself that tell you how much battery life is left. And quite frankly, that's okay. After using the vacuum for some time, you'll know how much runtime you'll have to clean your entire home relative to what power level you use. Charging the Jet 60 requires that you wall mount its base to your wall, high enough for the wand to clear the floor. I for one am not a big fan of wall mounting my vacuum to the wall, so for now I remove the battery from the main unit and attach the charge base. If you’re not a wall mount vacuum kind of person, then this vacuum is probably not for you. The Jet 60 is one of the louder stick vacs that I own at home, especially at max settings. It’s not obnoxiously loud, but it has that higher whistling sound overall. My home is mostly hard floors accented with low pile area rugs, and this vacuum really has no problems cleaning these areas daily. But with those folks with high pile rugs, I can see this vacuum not performing well as you probably need stronger suction. The Jet 60 does have a max suction setting, but you’re not going to break 10 minutes of runtime at this setting. I would think any stick vacuum would underperform more often than not in these situations and a plug-in vacuum would be best. So if you’re like me and have a similar home setup, then I recommend you give the Jet 60 Pet a try.

Third, while the unit is wall-mountable, it is not easy to wall-mount in my residence. The unit needs to be wall-mounted close to an electrical outlet. So if you want the vacuum in a closet or laundry room, where outlets are non-existent or already used for other purposes, you'll need to find another place, likely in a more visible part of the house. In addition, the wall-mount unit is heavy, so be sure to anchor it to a stud; mounting just through the drywall with the provided mollys will probably have the wall mount pulling away from the wall after some time. We chose to fully charge the battery and then store the vacuum in the closet without the wall-mount. The vacuum would not stand up on its own. Even when vacuuming and needing to set the vacuum upright while moving something out of the way, the vacuum will not stand up on it's own--you have to lean it against something or in a corner. This is the most annoying thing about this vacuum. Now let me touch on the actual function of the vacuum, which is not that great. While the unit works reasonably well on hardwood floors, tile and rugs with no or minimal pile, any carpet with more than minimal pile overwhelms this vacuum. The brush stops spinning and all you get is suction--even on the higher power. The "lines" left on the piled carpet are not left with the forward motion of the vacuum, but rather from pulling it back towards you, meaning that you are not getting a good and powerful vacuum stroke. Therefore, the unit does a poor job at cleaning carpet with any type of pile. If your residence has all hard surfaces and no piled carpet, it will probably be OK. I also used the vacuum on furniture and as a car vacuum with the different attachments and taking advantage of the modularity of the unit. The unit worked adequately on fabric furniture (with several passes), but as a car vacuum, the unit was difficult to maneuver (even in its smallest configuration) and did not have enough power to clean the floor mats without several passes. However, getting the unit configured multiple ways was quite simple, as all the push buttons were logically located and easy to actuate. The unit does not have a good battery indicator--it only has four bars on the battery. I would prefer a percentage indicator, which is much more informational. The last shortfall of this unit is that the instruction guide is completely pictorial--no words. Some of the illustrations are not very clear, and that made learning about the unit and its features easier to accomplish by experimenting with the unit rather than looking through the guide. As a household vacuum (with piled carpet) or a car vacuum, this unit is quite sub-par. However, as an apartment owner or a homeowner with only hard surfaces, the unit would be adequate. Storage requires some planning, as the wall mount needs to be near an outlet and the vacuum itself does not stand on its own. Run time is more than disappointing, and the instruction manual needs work.
