The microwave is very bulky. One of the features that attracted me to this product was the proof mode for bread. When I used it to proof bread, the temperature was way too hot and there was no way to adjust the temperature. My bread started to cook in 10 mins and was ruined. The microwave also comes with a steam tray and lid. The first time I cooked vegetables in it, it took over 15 minutes to cook vegetables for 2 people. I would have been better off putting the vegetables in a bowl, covered in cling wrap. It would have cooked in 5 minutes. A lot of bling that doesn't deliver.

I bought this microwave and was very excited with the feature packed that it promised. It fell short very badly.1. I had put dough in using the fermentation setting....after 5 minutes it had cooked it rather than proving.2. 500gms of chicken thigh fillets divided in 3 bags....diet to defrost....auto defrost set for 6 mins but actually took 14 minutes to defrost.3. Had a small dent on the corner right out of the box4. It is a huge oven....so need plenty of bench space.5. Not the easiest microwave to useI had not had it long enough to try any other settings. I returned it for a full refund.I WOULDN'T HAVE GIVEN ANY STARS BUT AM FORCED TO GIVE 1 TO BEABLE TO SUBMIT THIS.

Very spacious to accomodate a large tray. Easy to use yet quite powerful. The door opens like a fridge, which to me is a welcome change to my old microwave, where the button would often cave in when I pressed it to open the door. I like all the extra trays and cooling racks that come with the microwave and the steam cleaning function built into the microwave is new to me and very handy in these busy times. Overall, I'm very satisfied and the price is reasonable.

Id have to say that this convection microwave oven is quite good. Packed with features ive not seen in many other ones and the added bits like the raised shelf and so on do come in handy. I especially like the addition of the water container that attaches to the inside wall that is for cleaning is a great idea. No need for harsh chemicals. It heats up making steam that helps remove all those splatters and every day bits you get on the inside. Simply follow the directions and away you go. Speaking of directions. It was clearly evident early on that english wasn't the first language of the person who authored the directions book which was quite extensive. They were at times quite vague at times and if you weren't quick in following the directions, it would time out ... MoreId have to say that this convection microwave oven is quite good. I would however point out that the power output of the unit is quite low at 900Watts, and if your use to a 1100 wat unit like we are, it takes a little getting use to and adjusting to that lower output. Apart from that, its a good unit and well worth the price for a convection microwave.
It's a very good size which is what appealed to me. Found it very confusing to use at first. There are no numbers on the control panel and it's not as easy when you need to microwave/onvection cook anything for any length of time. Would have been much better to be able to punch in the time you need instead of the roundabout way you have to do so. Haven't got around to using the griller or the other item yet. I think the idea of 'steam cleaning' the oven is great but haven't used it enough yet to actually need to do so. Just give it a quick wipe-out. I think when I've really got the hang of it I would probably up my rating..

Combine that with a manuel thats quite confusing and you end up feeling like you want to throw your hands up in the air and revert back to the old wall oven.To Samsung, please revise your users manual and how its written with particular attention to making sure that the instructions step by step correspond to the knobs and buttons on the machine and please give clearer identification to the round knobs and what each does Its not very clear and please, change the time out period before it goes back to the home point. Not all are well versed on these new machines and need a little more time to work out what the manual is telling us to do and how that correspnds to the knobs.Thankyou
We have used our convection microwaves for many years for the sole purpose of roasting veges as they consume far less power than using a conventional oven. I've had several other brands but namely Sharp and Whirlpool were top-notch and provided a great even roast. The Samsung does not. It has hot spots and cooks the veges unevenly some are nuked beyond eating and some raw. This is really the only reason we bought a convection microwave when our most recent (15 year old) Sharp died. Really disappointing. I would return it if I could as it's not fit for this purpose.

To fit it with the required allowances you need a total of nearly 700 mm depth in the benchtop. There is a very large portion that sticks out behind the microwave that is not black and not disguised in any way so you would not want it on an island bench. The fast preheat is not fast. It is considerably slower than either of the other brands we have and they don't claim to have fast preheat. The turntable is also smaller than either of these even though they have a lower capacity supposedly. This should have rung alarm bells. I don't like that the knob has to be adjusted each use even when you are using the same function.I prefer the door release buttons on both the other brands we have rather than just yanking on the door to open it.Would I buy one like this again Probably not.
I was excited about this microwave. But today Samsung finally picked it up for a refund after having to contact the Office of Fair Trade and much difficulty getting anything done. It simply stopped working. I hoped it would reach the temps needed with the convection side of things but didn't quite get there. It was nice and roomy for a microwave being 45L but not so much for a convection oven. I never did work out all the functions and couldn't work out how to automatically go from micro to convection. The self cleaning really did nothing of the sort. Unit was very big and bulky and got very hot during convection use.
I have always owned a convection microwave, but they just seem to get more expensive, but finally Samsung has one that is not only reasonably priced but it comes with accessories. This machine is a game changer, not only does it have round racks for rotating, you also have the option of a fixed tray for those bigger dishes that would not normally rotate. My first moist chocolate cake was a success, oven temperatures true to its word. Highly recommended, one appliance, two awesome functions, a space saver, and a second oven. At an affordable price, and that's not all a two year warranty.
