This is my second frame TV, I have an original 65" in the loungeroom and wanted the same art series in the bedroom so just pulled the trigger on a 43" which I could not get the sensor to work for 3 weeks out of the box consistentlyThe newer version is better with the cable now supplying power to the monitor so no power is required up on the wall which is awesome. The TV guide is much smoother too without the constant spinning wheel while trying to load what's on but it has one major flaw which I'm really unhappy with. I have since sat a mirror on the cabinet below the tv directing light towards the sensor and it is working fine and I now get the function (art mode turns on) when I walk in the room but this is rediculous it takes this for it to do what it's meant to. This could easily be rectified if Samsung redesigned the sensor to sit flush with the front of the TV's frame or move it to the top so no shadows could be cast on the sensor.I love the art series too much to get a refund but hope they rethink the design in the future.

Somehow Samsung introduced a bug in the current version of the software 2141.2 that involves how the TV handles HDMI ports and CEC/E-ARC devices. It has been working great until now when I cant change volume on my connected Sonos AMP (through HDMI E-ARC) through the TVs remote control. And also, whenever my Google Chromecast (with google TV) is connected on another HDMI port, the TV never discovers the sound system. I need to plug out and in the chromecast to get the TV to connect to Sonos. ... I travel often, so I watch hotel TV's, which are always LCD, but even those pictures are better than the Samsung Frame Art TV, my old Plasma TV had a better picture. The processing speed is slow and the automatic room light adjustment is worthless. Often the picture is very washed out, far too light making the show or movie appear as if it was filmed with someones 20 year old video camera. We've adjusted the settings and they NEVER remain. The free artwork that comes with the TV is garbage and looks like garbMy wife and I watched numerous Youtube videos on the review of this tv, all I can say is either we ended up with a faulty TV or the reviewers on Youtube ... The Frame TV has great picture quality and the built in smart features are the best on the market.The big issue is the cheap plastic used to build the TV. As you watch TV it heats up and expands and causes an unbearable clicking noise, then to make it worse it will keep making the noise as it cools down. This is a particular issue as the TV is in the bedroom and is unbearable as you are trying to go to sleep as this noise lasts for 30 mins plus.I have had engineers out to fix the TV only to be told it is not a real fault and within "Samsungs technical specifications". I am within warranty and go around in circles with the support team as they keep sending engineers to view the TV and they all say they can't fix it. I guess the plan is for them to keep doing this until the warranty runs out.If Samsung think it is ok to charge a large premium for a TV for a TV that is unbearable to watch then I think I will have to look to another brand.And don't fool yourself you will never use the Art Mode, just buy a different model that isn't made of cheap plastic.
