We bought the 85 inch version and it is an amazing TV. Initially I was worried because of some negative reviews. But I think they were left from people not differentiating between the quality if the TV and the quality of the content. The TV is well packaged and easy to assemble. I did this with my 13y old son and we managed. Most difficult part was attaching the stand: you have to lift the TV and slide the feet into slots and it is a bit fiddly, all while someone has to lift one end of the TV. Better to have three people for that job. The TV comes with a traditional multi-button remote AND the new solar powered minimalistic remote. After dealing in your Wi-Fi and registering the TV you select your apps. All the major streaming services are there. For most of the registration steps you are being shown QR codes that you can scan with your mobile phone to connect the device with your streaming service or with Alexa. (alternatively you can also use Bixbi or Google). The TV recognised our PlayStation PS4 automatically and named the input accordingly. The picture quality is very good. That was the part I was most worried about. No clouding, only a very slight bleeding in the corners that is only visible when you display a single colour, uniform picture - so nothing anyone would ever notice when watching content. Colours can be calibrated using the Samsung mobile app and look lifelike. 4K and 1080p content looks just amazing. Anything below that resolution looks blurry or pixelated, but that is not the fault of the TV. Build-in speakers deliver a decent sound, but we do use it with a THX sound bar and subwoofer (Teufel) and the experience is absolutely cinema-like.. At 1700 quid at the time we purchased ours, this is an amazing TV. The purchase experience and delivery was superb and very smooth.

To give a fair crack of the whip, this TV looks great on bright HD movies. Plenty of brightness, and the picture is sharp and colorful as a blooming Banksia bush during spring. Sitting down watching the new Topgun movie was a treat. But unfortunately that's where any ripsnorter complements finish. I mean - some of these designs makes as much sense as a bunch of Kangaroo's getting flight lessons from Emu's. The Fibre Optic output is not with the rest of the connectors (in a recess) but directly on the back of the TV. This means mounting it flat against the wall is not an option if you want to us the Optical cable. There is also a 3rd HDMI port that is unusable as well in the same location if you again wish to mount it directly to a wall. The remote is so small you could almost lose it down a bull-ants nest, or the side of your chair - and more basic than a Koala's diet as it has very few buttons. Instead of having quick access buttons to common functions - there are fewer buttons and you have to navigate menu's on the TV. Something as simple as changing input requires moving through menu's instead of a jump to option on the remote. The default/home screen is atrocious and leaves us standing around like a stunned mullet. Throwing up unwanted advertisements for TV shows and stuff we don't want to see. It also won't allow you to uninstall (just hide) certain apps, and doesn't even have a nice easy to setup screensaver for home photo's. (My 15 year old Windows 7 Media Centre PC does a far better job!) It seems like the best option for us is to disconnect it from the interwebby cable and use external devices such as an Apple TV box or the bush telegraph to do all our navigation.

There are so many slots for HDMI cables and are placed on the right along with buttons for controlling the interface. Things to Improve: - I noticed small blur while playing high action games like COD and rarely response time takes a hit but nothing major - Limited to 60hz is also not high profile for Gaming but it gets the job done and not noticeable after playing for few minutes Other than these caveats, this TV is perfect for consuming all kinds of media and ideal for your needs. On all three preset options, dialogue can be inaudible to almost completely silent, while special effects are blasted out so loudly that it's almost impossible to watch any film/movie or TV show without clutching the remote and hovering over the volume button the whole time. We have tried adjusting the equaliser settings over and over in different combinations, using Amplify, Auto Volume, Standard, Adaptive, and we have come to the conclusion that it is virtually impossible to get dialogue to be audible without everything else being far too loud. We are in the process of buying a non-Samsung soundbar or set of speakers because we no longer trust Samsung to give us effective control over our audio experience. I did contact Samsung about this, and they were unable to be of any assistance. They simply asked me to try all of the things that I had already tried already. If they would like to release firmware to add these features to the TV, I would be happy to receive them, but for now, I cannot recommend this TV to anyone who wants a good audio experience out of the box without already owning their own set of speakers.
Recently purchased the 2022 55" Serif. Externally it is a gorgeous looking TV that doesn't for once, look like a piece of huge tech dominating the living room but rather more like part of the decor. In fact it will likely become a minor talking point with guests seeing it for the first time because it is so distinctive and nice looking. The screen is stunning. More than bright enough in bright daylight near windows. Colours are natural (after tweaking the picture settings from the factory showroom one). Nice balanced tones and contrast. The new matt screen surface feature for the 2022 version is brilliant, neutralising all ambient light reflections. I predict other manufacturers will copy this feature looking ahead. I should mention Samsung's treatment of the rear, especially the cable management and the smooth panel that unclips / clips back on, hiding the ports and cables, is well thought through and a nice touch providing a dust free clear lines appearance. I haven't yet used the inbuilt NFC capability on top of the TV to play music directly from my phone as we use a connected media centre (Mac Mini) to store and play our media (music, movies, pictures). On this point, we are experiencing HDMI connectivity issues between the Mac Mini and the Serif. The Serif becoming a monitor for the Mac Mini for playback of media. Other users online are experiencing similar issues apparently. I'm currently looking at a workaround so hopefully this can be resolved. Finally, a couple of other mentions - the remote control is very good. Minimal controls. Just enough to use day-to-day. Easy to read and use via the inbuilt Samsung TV menu navigation. Feels great in your hand. Responsive. Controls both the TV and the Sonos Arc and does not need environmentally wasteful AA or AAA batteries. Yes that is right, it charges its own inbuilt lithium battery, initially via a USB-C cable and then is kept topped up via a small solar panel on the rear. Brilliant Samsung! Finally a nice looking remote one is happy to leave out on the coffee table rather than hide away. The design complements the TV design nicely. The final item worth mentioning too is how easy it is to load apps into the menu. We stream all of our free2air channels rather than receive via broadcast (via TV antenna). Searching for iView and SBSOnDemand apps and loading them took a couple of minutes at most. You can easily delete unwanted channel / streaming apps if like me you want to get rid of clutter. Samsung pre-loads software/apps I didn't want. Samsung have included advertising in their software. Some may not like this 'intrusion'. I ignore it and choose the app I'm looking for. Would I recommend the Serif? Yes. Certainly one to consider to compare with others if you are in the market for a new TV along with its sister product, the Samsung Frame (same tech features).
This is to possibly replace a 42 inch from years back. Image quality is very good, vertical tearing is much reduced too. Didn't have to adjust settings much to get a good picture. It's framed well, not too heavy and can be installed by one person. There's two remotes, again this is handy for us, I've opted for the smaller one again as most of the functionality often used are on it and easy to find without looking at it. The smaller remote is charged with solar power, this will an issue eventually when the battery fails as its a sealed unit. The TV has terrible sound quality, much worse than the old 42" and that wasn't good either. It's like listening to sound down a drain pipe, no bass to speak of, hollow sounding tinny garbage. Using this TV as a screen only would ... MoreThis is to possibly replace a 42 inch from years back. Image quality is very good, vertical tearing is much reduced too. Didn't have to adjust settings much to get a good picture. It's framed well, not too heavy and can be installed by one person. There's two remotes, again this is handy for us, I've opted for the smaller one again as most of the functionality often used are on it and easy to find without looking at it. The smaller remote is charged with solar power, this will an issue eventually when the battery fails as its a sealed unit. The TV has terrible sound quality, much worse than the old 42" and that wasn't good either. It's like listening to sound down a drain pipe, no bass to speak of, hollow sounding tinny garbage. Using this TV as a screen only would be my advice, accompanied by a sound bar or hifi. I cannot get over how bad it sounds, to the point of thinking, "is it faulty?" it's that bad. The menu is relatively intuitive, pity it reverts to factory image settings when in use. Only the sources (free view, sky..) are effected by picture settings, such as brightness etc. It's snappier than our old 42" too, menu's are quicker to navigate and there's less warm-up time from power on. Plex runs faster on this TV, skipping/searching tracks with ease. Spotify gets muddled up after a time, displaying and selecting tracks incorrectly. My initial thoughts while unboxing the 75” Samsung Q60B was how impressively slim both the width of the TV is as well as the bezel around the screen. This replaced a 2017 55” LG and even with the big upgrade in screen size, the Q60B still feels less obtrusive in my living room since it sits so much closer to the wall. That being said, I was a bit disappointed when I noticed a gap between the back panel of the TV where it attaches to the screen in the top left corner. Definitely a slight manufacturer defect that I wouldn’t expect from a TV in this price range. Luckily it doesn’t seem to affect the image quality but as the other three corners sit flush with the screen, it is a noticeable defect. The picture quality is incredible. I felt like I was watching newly remastered versions of existing TV shows. There’s a noticeably wider range of colors than previous televisions I’ve had, but I will say that out of the box, the default picture settings can be a bit hot when it comes to whites or brighter scenes. As far as gaming, there are times where dark objects on screen can be hard to differentiate from dark backgrounds. I do believe this can also be corrected by adjusting the picture settings, but it stood out as something I’d need to look into and work on. Who do I think this TV is for? If you’re like me coming from an older, smaller entry level 4k television and you’re looking for a feature loaded TV with a size upgrade from a reputable brand that won’t break the bank, I highly recommend the 75” Q60B. It looks more expensive than it is, and it’s got the tech to keep you happy for years to come. If you’re a gamer and willing to spend a bit more to get something with a 120hz refresh rate for your next gen console, you might want to hold off. When you power on the TV for the first time, it gives you the option of setting it up manually using the remote control or via the phone, allowing you to easily type the password for linking accounts and setting up WIFI. The Q60 also has multiple options for voice control and virtual assistant. I was able to easily integrate the Q60 into my Google Home. Now I can control the tv with my google assistance and also control my other lights and other Samsung appliances. Because I was able to link the TV to my google eco-system, I am now able to view all my cameras and video doorbell directly to the TV, really cool. The new Q60 also has a feature called Tap View option. Now, anything that you have on your phone can be transferred to the TV with just simply a tap of your Samsung smartphone to the TV. The picture quality of the new Q60B is amazing. The colors on the Q60 jump out at you, the display is crisp and clear and best of all the built-in processor upscales everything on the TV to 4K. The display is truly amazing and I love the colors, contrast, the blacks and with the 60Hz, it is perfect for movies and gaming. Overall, I am very satisfied with our new TV. It has made our movie nights better and a much more enjoyable experience. I would recommend that you check out this new TV, you will not be disappointed.

Before I even did setup, just after installing it on the wall, I noticed that after using my Samsung phone, the TV had automatically recognized and connected to my Samsung soundbar through the software. My husband and I watched The Walking Dead and it looks like you are standing right next to the actors. It is so crisp and clear and we noticed how much detail in the picture we've never been able to pick up on before. We saw details that we had missed before because we can finally see!! Between the size and the QLED 4K, it reminds me of VR. We watched a movie with the kids and even though it was an animated film, the picture quality makes it look like you are right there with the characters. It's funny because we saw more of the mannerisms displayed by the characters in the way they moved and in their expressions - I felt like I was watching the movie for the first time. Now, I haven't previously owned a Samsung TV with this capability, but seeing it in QLED 4K, it changes the way you see movies and characters. My family and I are gamers. When we tested out with the Switch and played Mario Kart, we were thrilled that although we had to break up the screen for the four of us, it was so much easier to see! We each had 32" for our viewing square!! I could make out better where I was going, was able to better see traps, and overall had a greater appreciation for the upgraded picture quality. The kids absolutely loved it and wanted to stay up to see more movies in the better quality. Even the sound seemed better (matching electronics?). It's amazing how much of a difference 4K is! I have received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion.
