We purchased this refrigerator for our young family of 5. It had all the features we wanted for a reasonable price. 8 months after purchase the freezer stopped working followed shortly thereafter by the fridge. We had to discard a significant amount of spooled food. Samsung sent a technician to our house who confirmed that the compressor had died. He advised a replacement would be ordered but due to delivery issues relevant to COVID it would likely be a couple of months. We contacted Samsung who offered us a store credit (the fridge is now $300 more than what we paid for it so we'd be out of pocket) or to repair it. Anyone who knows anything about refrigerators and compressors knows that repairs are not a reliable option. We are enjoying the water and ice feature. We manually fill the water box with filtered water as there is no external plumbing. The water is easy enough to top up and we did not have to worry about plumbing. The water and ice are automatically directed to the external water/ice dispenser through an internal system in the fridge/freezer. The shelving layout is good and the lights are nice and bright. You do need enough space to open the doors wide open so that you can pull out the bottom trays. The outside of the fridge is easy to clean when we get finger marks on it. Delivery was done well. There are wheels underneath to help moving the fridge easier. I'm very happy with it

Let me state that the people at JB, the GM of the store, were very good to deal with, and they tried hard to fix the issue. The problem is Samsung. This fridge has cables very exposed when looking at it, and the noise it makes when making ice is so bad it woke us up and now freaks the pets out so bad. Samsung were contacted, and didn't reply. Two more emails and they call, after I asked NOT to be called. I sensed trouble. Then finally after massive attitude, I get a service person booked in, who came and were also very good, and not part of Samsung. They saw the cables and were in the same feeling as me, turns out just plain old terrible design. So now I can see bright orange cables; excellent! There is so much to love - it’s look is sleek , it does what fridges are sun to do and cools and freezes well , the simplicity and quality of its shelving arrangement. Unfortunately though the water and ice dispenser didn’t work from the get go . Samsung was prompt in organising a service technician to come out and problem thought to be solved . A mix up on the water tubing connection in manufacturing. We now have iced water! But then the ice maker didn’t work. We are now waiting for a pump replacement. If this doesn’t work we will be getting a new fridge. As I really like everything else about the fridge I am willing to wait and cross my fingers . I wish I could give it a rave review but sadly not .
Replaced similar Samsung fridge but inside shelving is roomier, door shelving is wonderfully designed & fits large bottles or containers. Non plumbed water & ice is a lovely bonus. Water unit is very easy to remove & fill & takes up very little space. Extremely quiet. Recessed door grips are comfortable & a nice feature. Love this fridge/freezer & highly recommend it to all 100%. Very happy SAMSUNG customer. Appliances Online have given me quality service as usual & cannot fault them at all. This fridge does what is expected of it. Build quality looks good. It has a very robust modern appearance. Having a fridge with ice is very convenient. Only cons are: 1. The ice dispenser seems to be quite wide and indirect which means ice cubes often end up on the floor especially when kids are involved or whenever you have a narrow glass. 2. It's not super-quiet, but I don't have anything to compare it with. 3. The doors are very thick and bulky but are not on zero-swing hinges, meaning if you're constructing new kitchen cabinetry, you have to choose between having an unwanted gap down the sides of the fridge if you want the front to sit flush with your cabinetry, or having the front of the fridge sit significantly proud of your cabinetry if you want it to fit ... MoreThis fridge does what is expected of it. Very happy with my new fridge. Love the non plumbed ice/water dispenser, although small shards of ice sometimes splash onto the floor .. easy enough to clean up. There is plenty of room inside for food and drinks and the outside is sleek and stylish. Not big enough inside to fit large platters though. The service from appliances on line was exceptional as always … next day delivery and installation. Extremely happy with the fridge and would definitely recommend.
We have owned this fridge for 2 years. We replaced an LG that lasted 14 years and never been a problem. We looked at the Samsung for the size, ice maker and non plumbed water. Great features but within 9 months the ice maker stopped working. The fridge now freezes everything that’s remotely close to the back of the fridge. Vegetables do not last longer than 3-4 days in the crisper. Unfortunately it seems that things are built to last 2 years and not a day more. Would not recommend anything about this fridge.
This fridge is beautiful and has a lot of space, cleans super easy and overall just works perfectly. Only thing I would say is when you want to get water you have to aim for it to go into the glass you cant simply push in and think it would poor into the glass and then the ice maker is a bit messy, when you get normal or crushed ice small bits spills outside the glass on the floor. However with saying that the ice and water section is amazing seeing that you don't need plumbing. It makes perfect ice and fills the tank full on ice overnight, I normally take the ice out and store it in my freezer, you don't need to but I do it to have spare.
