Samyang 135mm f/2.0 Ed UMC (Sony E) Lens

Love this mask. Easy to put on and remove, great spikes on stars. Perfect focus. Does exactly what it's suppose to do. \nImage contains: Focusing image, 2 second untracked Orion (unprocessed single image), and the lens cover.

The item was slightly smaller than the dew cover so it would not fit. I heated the pla with a heat gun and pressed it on the dew cover and that fixed it. But as far as how it worked once I got it on and it cooled I was able remove it and put it back on without it. The filter itself once installed worked perfectly. So I give it 4 stars since I had to do some work on it , but functioning as it intend was perfect.

Fits the lens perfectly and has an included felt liner inside to protect the finish of the lens hood. A carry bag was thrown in as well! Thanks and clear skies!

The mask fits perfectly and does what it's supposed to. Shipping time was adequate considering it was shippped to Europe. Overall I'm very satisfied with the product and highly recommend this seller if you consider buying a bahtinov mask.

Heavy, but it works

Inexpensive, well built, but heavy! The weight is a bit daunting on a small APS-C Pentax, but it works. I'm not used to a manual focus lens, but found with live view, image magnification and focus peaking it wasn't too hard to get it right. You're not going to use this lens for sport where the subject is moving about, but it's fine for something like musicians in poor light, or stationary subjects where you're looking for differential focus. The bokeh is creamy, and the lens is sharp! - even at F2.I find it unnecessary to use the supplied hood, it already has a 'built in' sort of hood - the barrel sticks out about 15mm beyond the front element, and I use my hand to supplement this if needed. This lens is heavy and is manual focus, but it's sharpness is unbelievable! The colors are not the best. When images from this 135mm lens are compared to those produced by most quality Pentax lenses, I'd say the colors from this Samyang lens look slightly duller. Micro-contrast is very good, but not quite at the level of the Pentax FA Limiteds or Zeiss ZK glass. It's crazy sharp straight from f/2, and it's images hold up perfectly until f/14. I noticed a tiny bit of unsharpness creeping in at f/16, with more at f/20 and 22. With the right technique, you will achieve sharpness and clarity that most of you have never before witnessed! Top Notch Telphoto Lens

I purchased this lens based on the reviews and my need for a short telephoto for a Pentax K-5IIs and Pentax film camera bodies. Initial images were impressive with more careful images revealing a truly spectacular lens. Don't be afraid to shoot this lens wide open, it is supremely sharp at full aperture with impressive bokeh. My use of this lens is for general nature photography, including landscapes and astrophotography. As an astrophotograhic lens, it can be shot wide open with pinpoint stars to the corners of an APS-C sensor, but there is some light falloff until f/2.8. This would be worse on full frame or film cameras. This is an incredible lens and Samyang should be praised for their consistent efforts to produce very fine lenses at a modest cost. Most reviews tell you that you will need to manually stop down this lens as well as focus, but this is not correct for Pentax cameras. I generally shoot aperture priority or manual, and aperture can be selected with the thumbwheel in half or third stops on the camera. Aperture can be automatically selected by the camera with Shutter Priority. This is generally true of all Samyang lenses on modern Pentax DSLR's. I do not subtract a star from the rating for not being auto focus. This is a given and does not detract from the performance.

Very sharp and easy to focus with Sony peaking function

I use this lens on either my A6000 or A6500 (the latter having stabilization) and it produces clear and sharp photos. Compared to a zoom it is light years ahead. The Sony peaking function makes focusing easy and accurate.
