Samyang 50mm f/1.4 As UMC Lens For Canon EF
The Samyang 50 mm F1.4 is a fixed focal length, which comes closest to the natural vision of humans due to its angle of view. A fifties belongs to every equipment like the camera itself and is ideal for still life or detail shots and especially portraits. Due to the enormous light intensity of 1:1.4 the object to be photographed can be wonderfully exposed. 8 slats allow an almost round opening, which makes for a butter-soft bokeh. Of course this light giant is able to produce great photos even under less ideal lighting conditions. In the housing of the Samyang 50 F1,4 9 lenses in 6 groups were installed. The high-quality multi-coating provides balanced colours and allows more light to reach the sensor. An aspherically ground lens minimizes aberrations, which means that colors and contrasts are not distorted and are better displayed. This fixed focal length was built as an internally focusing lens. The focusing and adjustment of the aperture is done manually, as usual with Samyang.

Good kens for portrait photography. It has manual focusing and you might need to get used to it but once you are, you will get an amazing results. Note that this lens is great for taking photos while you take your time and plan and not on the go.

First, the negative, it's manual only, and the f-stops (on my D810 anyway) run from F0 to F6 in aperature priority mode (I guess that's an error/approximation). Now for the positive; it's way sharper and has better color than my 50mm 1.8 Nikon G lens. It also has nicer bokeh. Definitely a 5 star lens if you don't mind the manual nature of it. Then again, if you want great quality, then it's a tradoff you're willing to endure. Samyang/Rokinon is a very underrated brand in my opinion. My 85mm, and 14mm lenses by them are hella sharp as well. I'm selling my Nikon 50mm, as this lens is far superior to it optically (not convenience or size-wize though; it weights about twice as much as my Nikon version).
