If you wish to expand storage and reliably document HD, 3D, 4k, videos or shortburst photographs, consider SanDisk products. I purchased four of these about 5 years ago for a video project. They were compatible with my camera, which was used to record HD 4k videos. There was a lot of travel, one rough tumble with the equipment, and this product survived it all. It performed reliably at high speeds for the time and did exactly what it was intended to do. That being said, SanDisk offers better warranties and protections on their higher speed products. This offers more ways to recover projects from damaged cards. If you're recording or documenting valuable projects, I strongly advise purchasing a better protected product.

I purchased this card along with 2 other 128GB cards.They were working fine for around 6 months and suddenly few days ago, the 256gb suddenly died while I was filming, few days later the 128 GB did the same thing, and yesterday the 2nd 128GB also died!The cards won't format or open in any camera brand and on any PC or Mac.I don't know if it's a camera problem or a card problem.I'm filming on the Lumix S5II - original battery - indoor shoot no heat or sun.In 3 weeks I lost almost 500$ worth of cards!however my 3 years old UHS1 - 170Mb/s sandisk cards are still working fine.I won't buy any of those cards again before knowing the root of the problem.

This thing is a godsend for the things I use it for. I work in the IT department and used to carry around a portable hard drive to store the files I needed and now I just carry this little guy with me everywhere I go. I carry everything from ISOs for Office, Windows, and Dev tools to portable apps for Email, IM, and other utilities. Whenever I need to install something I just plug this in and mount the ISO and it installs way faster than using a CD or installing over the network. I did have to reformat the drive using exFAT so that I could store ISOs larger than 2GB but using FAT is the norm so it can work with OSx as well as Windows. SanDisk lists this drive as having a lifetime limited warranty on their website while Newegg only says 2 years. This means that if it ... MoreThis thing is a godsend for the things I use it for. SanDisk lists this drive as having a lifetime limited warranty on their website while Newegg only says 2 years. This means that if it quits working for any reason they will replace it with a refurbished or new drive, unless the reason it stops working is because of physical damage. Nice peace of mind knowing this when youre going to spend 150. As far as design goes, the SanDisk Extreme comes in a metal case with a retractable USB plug. It is notably longer than the other drives I have used but not so much that becomes bothersome. The retraction mechanism works really well and is perfectly smooth and seems to be spring assisted and I much prefer this over using a cap to protect the USB connector as eventually you will lose that thing. The speeds on this thing are amazing, reading and writing files were on average around 200 MBs when copying to and from a Samsung 840 EVO SSD which is plenty fast for anything you need to do, installing programs from an ISO on the device finished within minutes.
After ordering the wrong card, (SDXC type 1), and thinking I got a screaming deal on it, (ha), I ordered this one. Over the years I’ve come to trust SanDisk memory cards, so that’s why I ordered this brand again.My EOS R5 shoots large files and I frequently shoot bursts of 30 FPS when capturing wildlife action. I’ve never had buffer issues with these cards.And 256 GB is plenty big. Though I trust the brand, I still don’t want an entire vacation’s memories on a single, larger card in case it does go bad. Yes, I recommend this product.
I have 4 of these cards. 2 in Canon Cameras over 4 years old. One in Canon 90D another was in Canon RP and used them regularly. This card handled the fast write speeds of big video easily. And never had any issues or crashes whatsoever. Very fast, large, super fast write speeds, and reliable. What more do you need in a memory card?They are not cheap, but they are the best. At least you have much less to worry about losing your prized footage if you shoot something important.
Hard to add to reviews of a disk used by so many with so many reviews, both technical (bench tests even) and field-notes style.One of my go-to disks since I switched from CF card-based cams some years back. These and another brand not to be named, which sunk in quality. (OTOH, another good one so far, a bit pricier, are the Sony Toughs).I use these mostly in the 2-slot Fujifilm XT-2, where I have never yet had a Sandisk fail or disappoint. Fast enough I rarely face buffer time even with rapid bursts or short 4K video clips. While I've generally gone with 64GB as the maximum size (per the original manual recommendations), I just used this for a nature shoot, and.... flawless.No hesitancy to recommend (if it's compatible with what you use, of course)... still my ... I think my headline says it all. So many people over years have relied on this brand and this high-speed disk. It's a nice size, and still at a competitive price-point (sometimes sales too), but most of all: reliable.Like others, I've owned lots of these, all sizes but mostly the 64, and I can't remember ever having any issue between slots and cameras. I've wiped and re-used, saved some as backup, clicked & deleted when near full.... done 4K and bursts, bla bla bla... It's a reliable workhorse, and fast too.
I received my Leica M11-P on the same day Firmware 2.1.1 released. In the days prior, I was concerned about memory card compatibility with 2.0.2 which was the latest firmware at the time. One Leica store recommended Lexar cards, but saw that someone online mentioning that Leica tests their cameras with SanDisk. Since I've always used SanDisk and I expected a new firmware to be released sometime soon, I went with the SanDisk. With 2.1.1 the SanDisk seems to work great with the M11-P. 128GB seems to be more than enough as that would be 1,066-1,828 L-DNG shots going by the Leica M11-P Technical Specs.
"This seller is a fraud. The product photo and the delivered item are not the same, and even the model numbers differ between the photo and the product received. The specifications are also different. This is not the original model, and the packet arrived damaged, with a tear at the top corner. The packet is old and dirty. Do not buy this card from this seller." {Also note -at the provided photo & in the description different model numbers mentioned, the front face pic for A2 performance category Micro SDC but sent with A1 category, also in the photo, shown model number having 160 read speed but sent with 100 speed. So I was not looking for such card. }
