Purchased from "Brick and Mortar" store with intent to use with my MAC and Time Machine for back ups. Before opening the package, I did a more in depth study of pros and cons reviews. I was very hesitant to open the product and considered returning to store for refund or exchange for a similar product. I've had nothing but good results from other SanDisk flash drives so I decided to take the chance and opened this box. Plugged it in with the supplied cable and selected Time Machine App on the MAC. Followed the menu options in Time Machine and completed my first backup seamlessly.Happy so far. Performed as expected.

The quality and reliability of the product is very questionable. Mine stopped working after 2 month of occasional data transfer. Im currently unable to recover or access my extremely valuable back up and projects.

Simple to install and run. Haven’t used it with the encryption software that it comes with. Gets quite warm if left plugged in though, so I would recommend unplugging it.
I bought this drive yesterday with one intention in mind. To replace old WD My Passport 2TB SATA drive with newer faster and more reliable SSD drive. But to my surprise can not transfer all of my data from old SATA to new SSD, at least last 150GB from total 1.8 TB can not transfer as SSD pops up the message the drive is full!?!? Already tried and searched for possible solution but no luck yet
Very quick data transfers for the price (I’m always seeing these guys on great sales. Haven’t had many times the durability was tested but it at least passes many drop tests so far. Great to plug into a shared hub to connect the drive to two pcs to transfer files or to have extra storage on that MacBook where you cheaped out on the storage to save 10x what parts + labor + design would normally cost.
I bought this less than a month ago and you expect an evaluation? It’s nice and very compact. It works so far
Bought this years ago and just reminded why I haven't used it since. The Vault! I hate it, don't need, and didn't know it was a part of it when I researched and bought it. Can the device be used without going into the vault? I don't know, because the manufacture couldn't provide that detail in instructions. All mentions is setting up the "Vault". Also can't see thumbnails for pics. This is deal breaker All I want is for the device to act like other easier to use backup drives I've owned.
I bought that disk about year ago for storing data file of FCPX and not be troubled with a speed. Since half year ago, I realized that disk is, somehow, automatically unmounting from Mac or even worse, when I stepped out for a while and come back I have a message about UNCORRECT UNMOUNTING OF DISK and FCPX message, changes can't be saved. Solution is nowhere on forums nor here, I have latest MacOS 12.6 in October 2022 with M1 Silicon and MCB 16" 2021 version with 2T internal storage and 64GB RAM. I believed in Sandisk until now, I had really doubtful experience in Western Digital and that was my last try...
I bought the SanDisk 1TB Extreme Pro to use as a back up drive with Time Machine. Unfortunately, after considerable time spent with Apple support and WD, I was never able to get this drive to work with Time Machine.I then decided to use the SanDisk as a clone drive. I could not get it to work as a clone drive with macOS using Apple Disk Utility. I then tried to use it as a clone drive using Super Duper!, which also did not work. I then tried ChronoSync ... also ends in an error. The physical size, amount of storage and speed of the SanDisk is great; but is of zero value for me as after weeks and weeks of trying I can't get it to work for what I need.
