it's a much better way of having your laptop storage extended internally, rather than having to drag externals. Better price than buying one that have already built in extra storage but you need the Tech support with that for at least a year.

Needed a larger drive to replace my fragmented SSD storage array. Bought this and installed it on my Gigabyte motherboard with zero issues. I decided to re-install Windows 10 on with the new drive and the installer picked it up right with no custom drivers needed. The drive is huge and super faster. Could not be happier.

I upgraded the hard disk in my Acer Nitro 5 and added this SSD as my primary C drive. Immediately, I was able to do video editing in 4K with shotcut without it crashing. This has given me eight times faster up/down speeds than the original hard disk I had. I am considering buying another in 2TB and rigging it as a high speed external drive. I highly recommend this SSD if you want/need higher speeds. I was able to install it myself in my laptop in under a half hour as well. Just a very high quality component all around.

Just threw 2 of these into my new PC build the best investment I ever made. The PC starts up quick literally like 5-10 seconds. I'm using one as my OS and it feels flawless. I wish these came with a heatsink but I bought one for the slot that didn't have one on my motherboard.
It is a very speedy ssd. I have this and a samsung evo 960 and both perform about on par with each other. They perform about 3-4x faster than regular ssds on all applications. Just make sure it will is compatible with your pc. It needs an nvme slot on the motherboard for the fastest performance.
My laptop came with a large conventional hard drive, and a small (128gb) SSD for the system drive. I did my best to keep everything on the large drive, but eventually ran out of space on the system drive anyway. I decided to go over the top and bought this 1TB SSD, and it's simply amazing. It's noticeably faster than my stock SSD, and although I had some difficulty successfully cloning my OEM system drive (thanks, HP), I did eventually get it copied, and now I have room to breathe again.
God this to upgrade my wife’s storage in her laptop. Was easy to put in and perfect for her. We have a lot of games we play so more storage means more games
Easy upgrade for my gaming laptop. Accurate speed rating and the laptop benchmark is now much higher that with the factory installed ssd. There seems to be an increase in temperature but, the fans in the laptop run higher to keep the laptop comfortable to the touch. For the sale price, the drive is worth it. At full price, I would have explored other options before buying this particular unit.
I used the WD clone software at the WD site and it did a perfect clone of my laptop internal M.2 2280 to a external USB C external case.Also used the WD software to monitor the M.2 stick and pull the serial number for registration.Be advised all drives are dropping in price but this one is outstanding.
fantastic upgrade to my PC. restarts and boots up in 5 secs. got lucky and bought 2 when they were down to $130. wish they were larger capacity , but not a big deal, i have 3 slots for m.2 drives.
