Very hit and miss in reading my Sandisk CFExpress Cards and needs the right port to be plugged into presumably for power. You click the card in and it takes a few seconds then the light on top of the unit flashes and it is available to your computer. It took quite a long time to recognise it on my mac and now it seems to work but I'm not confident - shame as it gets good reviews

good quality, a much better option for large file transfer than plugging the camera in.
