Just purchased a 2TB SanDisk Professional G-Drive ArmorATD. I was pleasantly surprised to find the package includes both a USB-C to USB-C cable as well as a USB-A to USB-C cable as this was not advertised on the box.So I hooked up the ArmorATD to old Samsung Galaxy S10 5G running Android 12 using the C to C cable and when the USB icon speared on the upper left, I dragged it down to connect the device. I was holding the S10 in my hand watching the whole thing. Then I verified the 291GB copy was successful. This speed blew me away. My S10's total internal capacity is 512GB for reference. Don't try to have a tech directly transfer such a quantity of internal data from phone to phone as it may take hours depending upon their equipment.Another time I intend to check the transfer time for PC to ArmorATD and another random external drive to ArmorATD to determine whether this is normal or if I just got lucky with the combination of the S10 and the ArmorATD.

This drive is very tough indeed. This is actually the second one of these drives I have bought. Both have been above exceptional for durability. The speeds are what you would expect from a USB 3.2 drive, in other words very reliably fast. Please note that your computer needs to have a USB 3.2 port in order to maximize these speeds, but with that said, even with USB 3.0 or 3.1 the speeds are still exceptional. If you are looking at buying this drive, it is a solid choice and you will not be disappointed.

This is my 2nd ArmorATD (4TB & 5TB). I use 'em for portable, encrypted, backup storage. Have no problems using with my Mac (OS X & Linux), and PCs (Win 10 Pro & 11 Pro). I reformatted each into two partitions (NTFS and exFAT) for extra convenience and compatibility with the encryption software I use. I have portable SSDs for the same use (G-Drive and MyPassport) I am under the impression that traditional HHDs are more reliable in ensuring the backup file integrity over time.

I have 30TB worth of hard drives. Plus another 30TB of identical backups. Ive been building my databases out for over a decade now and have used all sorts of drives. I prefer western digital these days and will never touch another LaCie drive in my life. I took a chance on these, as I was one of the first to buy them. Havent had them long enough to say yay or nay but so far they are both the best drives Ive ever owned. Really liking them a lot. I will probably retire my old drives and replace them all with these. Highly recommend.
Portable, rugged, fast, and easy to set up and connect to my Macbook. Increased my storage exponentially. It is lightweight, and the transfer speed is quick! With 1 TB of storage, it should take me a while to fill up this storage device! The rubber bumper means I can throw it in my bag and not worry about it breaking or getting damaged.

Not much to say as a hard drive is a hard drive. Rating by quality and speed, this hard drive performs very well compared to others. The rubber bumper feature is a great feature to have if you are going to be traveling with it. All round a great hard drive and I would definitely recommend checking it out, especially if you are going to be constantly traveling with it.
Portable hard drive is a good size to carry. Case is made from sturdy aluminum with thick rubber on edges. This is great for keeping ports clean and gives the drive extra protection during accidental drops and rough handling. Drive did not show up on Windows PC, but worked immediately on Macbook. Transfer speed was good and having drive to backup files will be convenient. Having documentation with drive would be good to reformat for Windows.
