I've had this drive for a while now, and I love it! It's tiny and so it fits everywhere but still has a ton of storage. I did a lot of research to find the best price for this much storage and this drive won out. Very reliable. It's taken some rough treatment and haven't had any issues. I have a mac and it's perfect for collaborating on projects switching between USB-C and USB-A on different devices. It has enough storage for all my school projects and movies. It's nice to use it on my MacBook with the USB-C, and then plug it into my TV with the USB-A and watch movies on it.

This works well on both USB and USB-C ports. Nice to have an alternative since some of our laptops have either limited ports or now only have USB-C. I usually add a USB Hub to extend the number of ports but not with this since if the usb port is used I can flip it and use the extra USB-C port. This makes moving files between non networked devices much more convenient. Also the speed is good. Not as fast as external SSD but for smaller transfer files and some productivity files this works very well. I also have the steel version but I prefer this one, it may not be as durable material wise but it is lighter and it does not get hot like the steel version. I have been using Sandisk USBs for work and personal for 9 years now and they are always solid flash drives.

The package advertises 128GB and further defines 1GB=1000000000B. The unpartitioned empty block device must have a minimum capacity of 128000000000 bytes, and no less. Overhead from partition alignment and filesystem structures is expected for a formatted device, however the raw unformatted space must be as advertised! The actual unpartitionled raw space is 123048296448 Bytes which is 3.8% less than the minimum advertised capacity. There is no interpretation of GigaByte or GibiByte that can result in this discrepancy.

I've never had a SanDisk product but, since I have been a fan of Western Digital for such a long time, I thought I give SanDisk a chance. While it performs as expected, the quality of the material and design is mediocre at best. The USB-A end of the flash memory is extremely brittle and, in under three months of light use, it began to crack and pieces started to chip off. This thing needs to either be made of much tougher plastic or completely made of metal. I took two stars off because quality is more important than performance to me. I'm giving the flash drive away to someone else who doesn't mind cosmetic imperfections and going back to Transcend or Kingston. Goodbye, SanDisk!
Flash drives, unlike hard drives, are more durable primarily because they have no moveable parts like their big brothers. Once upon a time, I accidently brumped a larger flash drive with my knee resulting in the tragic expense of having to replace he damaged USB socket which far exceeded the cost of the flash drive. I own five 5 computers made by differenent manufacturers and this flash drives functions perfectly with them all and it is perfectly compatable with the Microsoft Windows 10 Operating System. P.S. When Irans computer controlled nuclear proliferation program was sabotaged in the recent past. the hitech power of the micro flash drive proved instrumental in defusing the largest weapon of mass destructon ever created
I bought this for a netbook laptop, to expand the capacity of the internal drive. So basically, the usb drive stays in the netbook USB port all the time, only comes out when I neet to replace some of the stuff I have on it. Being a netbook, I take the laptop with me everywhere in the bag, out of the bag, on the desk, on the train, etc.So the low profile and high capacity were absolutely essential. To this end, the memory stick is exceptional. I have used it every day over the last month and it has never caught on anything, and I dont think it ever will. Its perfect for this use. Its blizzard fast, being USB 3.0, and I have the benefit of writing to it via USB 3.0, wo it copies large files and many small files in no time. There is a catch though. It gets hot. Yes, hot ... Its blizzard fast, being USB 3.0, and I have the benefit of writing to it via USB 3.0, wo it copies large files and many small files in no time. There is a catch though. It gets hot. Yes, hot when you write to it, and warmishhot when you read from it. It has never bothered me, even after writing 50GB to it and when it got the hottest, or when reading from it, every day when its only noticeably warmer than the surrounding netbook case. It doesnt make me think that it will cause any damage, or reduce its life span because of it, but I just thought Id mention it. This is why Im giving it 4 instead of 5. This new generation miniturised technology needs to work on remaining cool. Probably its impossible, but its something to aim for.Otherwise, the memory stick is impeccable. So far, no problems, and I am enthralled with what a good purchase Ive made. Perfectly fits my needs.Try to find it at a good price for it though. It seems like retailers like to add 910 pounds to it in a blink of an eye. Thats about a 75 markup over the regular street price. Beware
Having purchased a few smaller drives from Sandisk, I new they could be trusted to deliver a competant product. This small thumb like drive has matched up to expectations in that it packs a load of storage into a small space great for travelling on my holiday. Knowing you may want more information in a review that is normally given I have even tested its read and write speed for you, although I must mention a caveat here, this was tested in my system which is 64bit, i5 at 3.1Ghz, 6GB ram, a 5.1 on the performance acore for my system based on lowest graphics card element. Understanding the former and that it has a third party USB 3 card fitted in which I tested the 64GB SanDisk drive you should remember your own system may be different, the figure I tested was for a ... All in all a great little performer, handy to travel with and you could even leave it in your USB slot if you liked with less chance of it being knocked than other longer type USB drives.
Great little USB stick. Short review Very compact, Fairly fast readwrite speeds, Reliable. Want more info Read on USB 3.0 means fairly fast file transfer speeds when writing to it. I have had the 64gb one for a while and it has been very reliable so when I spotted a 128gb one for under 20 including postage it wasnt a tough decision to make. Its physical size is both a plus and a minor minus. It barely protrudes from any USB port, so it not prone to being knocked outdisconnecting, but can be a bit fiddly to remove as there isnt much of it to grasp. And while it has facilityhole for a straploop to be attached to it none is provided, so as a keyring attached storage option you have to figure out your best option if you want it somewhere locatable at most any time. It can get a little toasty as there isnt much of it to dissipate heat, but I have never experienced any stoppage or noticeable thermal throttling. If you have a work computer with limited storage that is in and out of a bag all day these are great as you can leave it in place rather than connectingremoving every time. I DJ from a laptop and often space is very limited and things get jostled, so thisis great for expanding the library of tunes available without having a regular size USB hanging out the side to the laptop in harms way. Recommended if you want a dependable, compact, storage option.
I purchased several different sizes of the SanDisk small formfactor USB drives. I hadnt purchased any previous versions that were this small, so let me say WOW The fact that 64GB of data can fit on this tiny thing smaller than the pad on my thumb... IT IS SMALL is amazing. Transfer speeds are extremely fast. I was actually looking at other brands but I NEED reliability with my external data. When the EGGies put this on sale, I snapped up a bunch of different sizes for various projects. If you want a small external drive this is the one I keep it plugged into my MacBook Pro 247 and it barely sticks out from the side maybe 14, if that.
Bought this to use as a USB style boot drive to essentially learn a bit more about Linux. Using my HP Elitebook i5 8570p laptop, I removed the HDD connection, then booted Linux from DVD, installling Linux Mint 18.0 onto this Sandisk 64gb USB 3 microstick. Now bear in mind that my Elitebook has Windows 10 on a Crucial SSD, and Ive set it up as per normal to use the quick shutdown start up option in Win 10, so its definitely no slouch on Win 10 boot up times. Guess what, Linux Mint 18.0 as installed on this USB 3 stick, boots quicker than Win 10 off the dedicated SSD in my laptop Naturally its stuck in a proper USB 3 socket, not a USB 2 one, but even so this is seriously impressive for an operating system loaded on a USB stick. Now theyve got a get out of jail free operating system, from which can rescue their files, before they have to reset Windows 10 yet again to get it back up and running.
