This is a terrible key safe. It's difficult to press the keys and the entire heavy front piece comes off. Replacing the front is also difficult. I would not recommend.

We have several key safes for our unit building, ranging from this one to $100 safes. I agree that the lid is fiddly to replace but as this unit houses my house key for when I lock myself out, it is used infrequently and the key hanging from the inside of the lid makes it easier to close than some others which are very difficult to close as the keys tend to fall forward and jam stopping the lid closing. Almost all key safes have the key falling out problem when trying to close, even the $100 one. So the choice is this one where the key doesn't fall out but is fiddly to close or other more expensive ones which are easy to close if you can stop the keys falling out as you refit the lid. This worked fine for a few weeks, then one of the buttons came loose and it could not be reset. I had to break it apart to remove it.

I bought this a month ago. It seems good for the price and for what it does.Pros: Easy to install and set the pinCons: pin lock is a little flimsy and you need to really press the buttons to recognize the pin
I bought this 8 months ago as a just in case of a lock out and it has paid for itself twice..Easy too use use (for us atleast)
Purchased and looks ok. Difficult to extract from packaging, and look flimsily made so not confident of its longevity but happy so far. Anyone using it to access key needs to have good dexterity.

I bought and installed this a few weeks ago. It works fine except for on number which is a bit of a problem but I just clear it and start again.
Seems robust and reliable. Be aware that order of the button pushes doesn't matter so there are only 1024 combinations.
