I mistakenly bought the 6mm and then purchased the 10mm. My shower door is 9mm. There is no way this will fit my door. Even using a hammer we could not make this very stiff product slide along our door edge. Very disappointing! Other person who reviewed this product and gave one star was spot on.

I mistakenly bought the 6mm and then purchased the 10mm. My shower door is 9mm. There is no way this will fit my door. Even using a hammer we could not make this very stiff product slide along our door edge. Very disappointing! Other person who reviewed this product and gave one star was spot on.
I fitted this 10mm seal with no problems on my 10 mm glass shower screen.I was nervous after reading other people’s problems with fitting. The seal does not have any fitting instructions.I did two things to help it fit:1. I soaked the seal in hot water just before fitting, in the hope this might make it more flexible.2. I fitted it to the bottom edge of the glass from below. You can’t slide the seal along the glass edge.
Wish I would have read the reviews here before purchasing and attempting to fit this. Contrary to some other reviews, I would say that the channel is around the labelled size (10 mm) at its base. However, the inside of the channel includes some softer (silicon like) material that grips the glass so strongly this product is impossible to slide on from one end. You have to fit it from underneath and wedge it upwards onto the door with something, I used the handle of a plastic paint scraper, doing this left marks on the product. The skirts hanging down still gripped the floor making door opening and closing difficult. It’s not actually 10mm. It’s narrower than that so doesn’t fit. There was a review on here that already said this, but I wanted to be sure! Turns out previous reviewer was right and I could have saved myself both the trip and the money. Bunnings should update size to say 8-9mm.
Absolutely the right size for a 10mm glass door. Just use some spray on silicone lubricant and will go on fine. A bit of a pressure needed to pop it into place, however I’m sure everyone wouldn’t want their seal dropping off if it was oversized.
I brought this product before I had read the reviews which was unfortunate as it is impossible to install this bottom seal to the shower door. What is advertised as a 10mm wide channel is underside when measured against the 10mm thick glass door.I would do recommend this product.
10mm at base but 8mm at most at top with very little give. Could fit the Bunnings 10mm display shower which is actually 9mm thick. Was unable to fit on my genuine 10mm door. Returned and fitted a seal from Tradelink with ease.
Brought this for my 10 mm shower door, was a bit stiff to cut but a good sharp Stanley knife was helpful. I pulled the old one off and measured from that before attaching to the door. Fitting was a little difficult due to not really being able to get fingers under the shower screen door. Found the easiest way was to open door all the way then roll it over the seal, then I clicked it in to place with a thin piece of wood. Fantastic product . Yes it is very tight but if it wasn't it wouldn't work.
