Decided to pull the trigger on this after giving a friend my 6800 and converting my home/gaming pc into a workstation for my business (having saved a ton of money and time doing so). This being my 3rd Sapphire AMD card I can confidently say they make the best performing and durable cards I’ve ever used. The extra 6 pin power connector is a minor inconvenience but this thing is like nothing I’ve ever used before.Absolutely chews through anything you could possibly throw at it and runs nice and cool while doing so.One thing I will mention that I can’t really say was totally unexpected for me is this card (in my build at least) needed a 1000 watt PSU. System failed to even turn on with my 3 year old 850 watt Corsair Rmx.It’s expensive, excessive and really ... MoreDecided to pull the trigger on this after giving a friend my 6800 and converting my home/gaming pc into a workstation for my business (having saved a ton of money and time doing so). First of all, I have to say that I have had good luck with Sapphire cards in the past and I was excited to try out the 6900XT Nitro+. First thing I noticed when opening up was how much lighter if is than the Reference 6900XT. Almost 1/2 lb lighter. However the construction is top notch and the card looks great. Plus the length, while long, is shorter than the XFX Merc, AsRock Phantom, etc and should still fit in most mid size cases if even just barely. The RGB looks good on the Nitro+. Not too crazy or obnoxious. My only complaint is I have to install the TRIXX software to control the lighting as it will not work with MSI Dragon like my ram, keyboard, motherboard, etc all work with. Minor complaint, but worth noting. My only complaint is I have to install the TRIXX software to control the lighting as it will not work with MSI Dragon like my ram, keyboard, motherboard, etc all work with. Minor complaint, but worth noting. At stock settings, the card is fantastic, averaging about 2300+mhz on the core playing Cyberpunk @ 4k. At stock, the card is very quiet and the fans spin at about 45% under load. Core temps stay around 70C. However the real fun is if you up the power target and reduce voltage slightly and give it a little more clock headroom. After doing that, in Cyberpunk I am seeing consistent 2550mhz on the core. With a custom fan profile of 60%, core temps are 65C with hot spot at 80C, which is fantastic. Games like Assassins Creed Valhalla see the gpu clocks in the 2600+mhz range. While the OC results are good, I will need to point out that the results are about the same as what I got with my Reference 6900XT, with only a slight 20-30mhz edge given to the Nitro+. Temps and noise are also slightly better on the Nitro+ . Overall, if you are in the market for a 6900XT (and have deemed the price acceptable), the Sapphire Nitro+ certainly deserves consideration. It looks good, overclocks well, cools great while being quiet. My only reservation is that Sapphire only has a 2 year warranty while most manufacturers offer 3.

Since I had done gaming on an underpowered laptop, frames and gameplay were minimum at best. But now since building my First PC, this has been one of the best purchases I have ever made. Of course, it’s not Nvidia 3000 series but nowadays all types of hours are quite similar in regards to gaming so no spilled tears over that. And now with AMD FSR, AMD is on the right path for gamers helping with better frames without sacrificing quality.

Would definitely buy again. My older Sapphire Nitro Vega 56 card was a great workhorse for quite a few years, but as graphics have become more demanding the old card started to have the fans running as or near max far more often when gaming. This new card has moved my PC back to essentially silent when gaming at 4K / 60 fps max / ultra for most games. As expected, Sapphire has provided me with another great card without drama. I've owned video cards from a number of different vendors over the years, and Sapphire has always provided me with great cards that worked exactly as expected without any drama.
It's a very frustrating experience to get the card running smoothly at its full capacity (at sustained 90+% usage). So I can't recommend it to people who expect a problem free experience out of the box. And if you look again at the price, this should NOT be the case. AMD needs to step up their game. When I tried my friend's RTX3090 card in my system, I was running the same "AMD optimized" (!?) games with zero issues out of the box. That's unacceptable.
I wanted either a nVidia 3080 or AMD 6800XT. But one day in December I spotted this 6900XT from Sapphire and ordered it near the end of December. Got it a few days later.Excellent performance, as many reviews have pointed out it is close too or above twice the performance of AMD's previous GPU, the 5700XT. I found in most games I play this is correct. I also found out that it draws virtually the same amount of power on my system as the previous 5700XT. I've had RX580, Vega64 and 5700XT all Nitro+ models from Sapphire and these cards are progressively faster then each other. The Vega drew more power than any of these but could be seriously under volted in the driver software to keep it low. The Vega drew more power than any of these but could be seriously under volted in the driver software to keep it low. The previous models were a noticeable increase in game performance over the previous GPUs but the RDNA 2 in the 6900XT is way above any of them by a mile. Although some games don't increase much at all, as they are not so GPU dependant. It allows you to run games at maximum settings and you can still play them at good frame rates. The only down side I found is the cost (hence not 5 stars). I think I got this one in Scan's first batch and they were very close the MSRP and I think they were over priced then. Twice the performance does not indicate you can charge well over twice the price of the previous generation. However I impulse bought this as I could not get what I really was after and knew there was a shortage. I'm not disappointed because I could afford it and it performs. In years past I could not justify the cost.A great GPU, need to kill the cost.
Great card. I was going to get a RX6800XT but looking at the price of this 6900XT at the time was only a little more then $100 more and came with two free games so I went for this one. No regrets. Coming from a 5700xT and this blows that card out if the water. I have this paired with a Ryzen 9 5900XT, 32GB DDR4 RAM, 2TB NVME M.2 Gen 4 drive, MSI UNIFY x570 MOBO, EVGA NuAudio sound card, EVGA 850 watt PS, Phanteks P500 case, DeepCool Assassin III cpu cooler.
This card is NOT the one you see on the listing (at least not at the Fairfax location or rockville). The only one available is the "special edition" which is bigger and has RGB (essentially a white+black "toxic" card). Because of this, I had to return it since I wanted the one shown in the pictures which is 310mm long (special edition is 325mm long) and any larger wouldnt fit my case. This is a fantastic card, which is why I still recommend it, but be warned if you are working in a SFF build this is NOT 310mm in length.
There is a reason why Sapphire is generally well regarded and is a primary partner for AMD graphics cards and this card is a prime example. Actual in-game clocks are running between 2580 and 2610 consistently with temps only reaching the mid to upper 70 C range and typical power draw under 300 watts. It's definitely a highly binned part assembled well. The price is crazy right now, but if you're going to spend ridiculous money it out to at least be on something as well made as this.
Replaced a 7 year old card (which I thought was pretty big) with this behemoth... it does fit in the case (full tower ATX), but barely. The provided support arm was a little tricky to install, but seems to be doing its job. RGB fans are a bonus, but not necessary. Look neat though. So far, everything I have tried to run is around 60FPS, and the 144Mhz refresh is pretty sharp. All in all, a great purchase for me.
