I previously ran an XFX 6700 Qick card which ran well but would have been unable to cope with 1440p on Starfield and the latest gen games, especially given I'm still running an older gen Ryzen 3700x CPU. I know I'll need to get an upgraded CPU and such soon but the card was a hard barrier to the latest games.Sapphire have always made fantastic cards and the Pulse is offered at probably the joint lowest price for a 7900xtx. Maybe the slight factory OC of flashier cards would have given a small performance boost but honestly I don't think the extra cost would have been worth it, especially given Adrenaline can overclock or undervolt for you.All in all it's a fantastic top line graphics card that's so much cheaper than Nvidia or even other 7900xtx for negligible performance loss. Ray tracing may not be as good, especially with games like cyberpunk, but it's acceptable and therefore I consider this pretty much the shoe in card to go for.You do need a beefy PSU and power cables for it so bear that in mind!

Upgraded from a GTX1080p so a decent upgrade.Excellent card, no issues with drivers, the software is not bloated, recognized correct card model and is actually quite useful compared to Nvidia's.Doesn't use the stupid 12VHP connector unlike the newer Nvidia RTX GPU's so I don't have to worry that it's going to burst in to flames!The GPU is also a more reasonably size compared to the like's of a RTX 3090 but you will still need to use the included support bracket.Forza 5 with raytracing looks beautiful on this card at 4K 60Hz extreme, Resident Evil 4 4K 60Hz is manageable but a few setting will still need to be knocked back but RE4's max ... I am very pleasantly surprised. having owned last gens 3090 and 6900XT, I wasn't expecting to be blown away by this card.However I play a lot of WarZone 2 and MW2 and the FPS in these games at 1440p is mind blowing. Blasting past 200fps - 250FPS with everything maxed in MW2 and consistently 190 - 220 in WZ2. For these titles specifically, it's up there with the 4090. For most other titles, it trades blows with a 4080 or between a 4080 and 4090. At this price point, that is unbeatable, especially as I have a distinct lack of interest in RT or DLSS, both of which remained completed disabled when I owned the 3090.My only comment would be that the temps other reviews have listed seem off.At full sustained load for over an hour I saw:Core: 63CMemory Junction: ... Even with lower fan speeds, I cannot hear coil whine over the fans.I'd also like to add that this is my first time owning a Sapphire card and I'm very impressed with the build. Understated and their more "budget" custom cooler design, yet functional, fairly quiet and robust.

Almost the same size as my old mid tier 5700XT Sapphire Nitro+- power consumption on idle on my screen is 15W. 60W when wathing YouTube. Just above 400W during stress test but often much less during gaming. It draws 145W when I play Street Fighter 6 at 4K + max settings online.- My old Ryzen 3950X (gaming performance of 3700X) doesn't bottleneck at 4K in games I tested but I consider upgrading it to 5800X 3D later on if needed.- My 850W power supply seems to be enough for the GPU + Ryzen9 3950X (16 cores). Works great on Windows as well, and since I use both operating systems (but mostly Linjx), it's obviously the best match for me. FPS is generally at VSync on my 1440p 144Hz monitor at high settings on most games I play that are considered 'AAA' grade titles and wipes the floor with anything less demanding. Oddly enough, testing Minecraft with RTX shaders (NOT emulated RTX, actual RT core shaders) stresses the thing pretty good, so there's a benchmark for RTX. Funny the game that's not very demanding will suck ALL the processing power with fancy graphics ... After switching from a 3060 Ti and switching the drivers, it performed pretty much as advertised. No real problems with running games at 1440p 240 fps. All games that I have played so far such as Halo 5, Valorant, and Fortnite have all started with Ultra settings by default since the system senses that it is able to run it. Very smooth graphics but if you want to do 240 fps stable at 1440p I would recommend turning down settings a little bit in-game.
First don't try and run these on a 850 watt psu. Myself and many people out there found out the hard way that 850 watt isn't enough for this card. A week after I got this card I got a 1000 watt seasonic focus. It's ran like a dream ever since.Also make sure you have a case with very good airflow. These cards kick off tons of heat. I'm currently running with my side panel off because my cpu and nvmes were overheating because of the amount of heat these cards kick out.If you can get past the issues these cards are monsters. The performance is amazing. Def better than the 4080 and cheaper as well.

The ROCm (AMD OpenCL implementation) is ... dodgy and the majority of non-gaming GPU usage is tooled for CUDA. AMD's support in linux, while quite good in the past, has had it's cracks exposed in this GPU. When it came out, it was virtually useless - drivers packaged into the upstream MESA packages, crappy (and still proprietary) firmware that has been so badly designed architecturally, you'll end up fighting with a maze of support matrices.Say what you will about Nvidia being proprietary, too big, monopoly... whatever., their ... When it came out, it was virtually useless - drivers packaged into the upstream MESA packages, crappy (and still proprietary) firmware that has been so badly designed architecturally, you'll end up fighting with a maze of support matrices.Say what you will about Nvidia being proprietary, too big, monopoly... whatever., their stuff works and they've put effort into the Linux community to make sure their stuff works.I've had periods of stability with this GPU, but god forbid you do security updates lest some bit sneak in and your logs are filled with things like - the fix? Took the plunge, missed the low point on the price but got at £940.It plays everything, is quiet ish but can make noise when the fans ramp up but you can tweak this. No coil whine. The card will boost to 414W getting over 3ghz but I have found you can really cut the power and clockspeed with very little drop of in FPS. Mine hovers around 250W at 2300mhz and I can play everything I need, cut to 60hz V synch and it tickles at less than 120W. Ray tracing is OK but I'm not that fussed, it is only Cyberpunk that seems to cripple things (and look great) but I can still max everything with ultra ray tracing and get 60FPS at 1080p (Ryzen 7600 cpu 32gb CL30 DDR5 all bought at SCAN). Thought about the 4080 but this seemed better value and probably longer viability with the ... Some say RDNA3 missed the target by about 20%, if they manage to figure a way around this with software in time then bonus, if not its still very, very fast. No driver or stability issues, the software suite is great and now we have fluid frames generation at driver level on any DX11 or 12 game and this seems pretty good, not that you need it with one of these.
