So far I've been tremendously impressed with this product. I've used it both with the lav mike and without. No discernible difference in clarity. I was hesitant to buy it at first because of the price difference between this and the Rode system, but this is by far the better deal.

Got this set of 2 lavs last week and used it for a conference. Connected it with my Olympus EM-1ii to record the presentation. Here are my observations:1 lav - When used for a conference with one speaker, it worked flawlessly. The sound really came loud and clear. No background noise. However, as suggested, I lower the gain in advance to ensure the sound was clear. The transmitter (used by the speaker) has 2 buttons to adjust the gain/volume. I also adjusted the volume in my camera.2 lavs - When used with a 2 speakers presentation, I had mixed results. The first 2-speaker conference had some challenges. Each classroom had a wi-fi router. When recording, I noticed that some times I could only hear partially the speaker. Bottomline, the recording cannot be used ... MoreGot this set of 2 lavs last week and used it for a conference. When recording, I noticed that some times I could only hear partially the speaker. Bottomline, the recording cannot be used because the voice has blanks. I did notice that it mainly happened when the speaker passed in front of the wi-fi router. So I think there was some conflict with the 2.4 Gh. In this room. When I recorded the next conference, it was also with 2 speakers, but in a different room. That recording and the following one went flawlessly. So I think there was some conflict in the first room. These next recordings gave me more confidence with these lavs, however in the future I will make sure I test the setup in the room in advance to avoid these kind of situations.Overall, I am very happy with these microphones and specially for how affordable they are. Also because I can use 2 microphones with one receiver.

I am really impressed by the innovation of this product at this price point. Rather than try to replicated on the cheap the Shure or Sennheiser wireless systems, this has all the appearance of a new from-the-ground-up product. I needed to have 2 Lavalier microphones wirelessly connected to a small receiver that fits onto the camera hotshot, with a cable connection to the microphone in of the camera (Canon RP since you asked..). Each unit has built-in rechargeable batteries, they charge using a 5V USB C connection, and last more than enough time (hours) before re-charging is needed. This set has two transmitters that feed into the receiver as a single channel (mono) which is fine. Each transmitter has 4 gain settings. The camera has a headphone OUT socket, not really needed as the automatic level setting of the camera did a good job even with pauses and outside noise. The transmitters also have a built-in microphone if you do not need the quality and proximity of the Lavalier mikes. Everything was provided in the box, cables and all. Transmission is using 2.4 MHz, this may be an issue in a dense Wi-Fi environment, but I had no problems at home with tens of devices connected.

I had been shopping around for a wireless option to assist in creating content for my virtual photo classes. I was originally looking at the Rode GO which seemed pretty straight forward and easy to use, but then I came across the Saramonic Blink 500. The comparisons of the two options were pretty close, but I went with the Blink 500 because I got more bang for the buck! Having two mics with two lavaliers was a big selling point for me, as I now have the ability to mic my assistant or subject. I also did not have to purchase any additional cords to connect to my iPhone or laptop as everything I needed was right in the box. Using it with the iPhone is significantly bulkier than the Saramonic Lightning receiver option, but I like knowing I have the ability to expand ... MoreI had been shopping around for a wireless option to assist in creating content for my virtual photo classes. I have used the Blink 500 directly on various Canon and Sony cameras, my iPhone, and my MacBook Pro all with clear audio results. This was a fantastic purchase for my needs.
This should have been what they meant by plug-n-play, because it does just that. Long lasting battery; easily rechargeable with USB. I highly recommend for all sound recording applications. Works EXACTLY as described. I am highly pleased with this purchase. I attached it to my cel phone to capture amazing sound for my personal and YouTube videos. Works even better with my Canon EOS R filmmaking rig setup.
Wow! The sound is so great! I cannot believe how good the quality is for the price. I use it on my Canon c100 and it’s perfect. I help influencers make YouTube videos and it never disappoints. There is also no static noise, which I find often on generic brand mics. It is not that directional, it picks up sound around but not too heavy enough to disrupt the person’s voice. It does cut ambience sound significantly but you can still here it a bit.
I used these during a work meeting, where I had to walk around and demonstrate equipment in a room. The batteries were good enough for my needs. I used them for four hours, with an hour during lunch of charging, and then another four hours. The receiver was plugged into a Canon Vixia video camera, from there I had an HDMI capture device to use the camera as web cam. The customer said they could hear everything clearly. I wouldn't recommend these for professional musicians, or anyone who needs high quality audio. But they are perfectly fine for most business meeting needs.
Torn between 3 and 4-but going with 4 for the fact that for the money-it sounds just fine, and comes with all the accessories you need (3.5 stars would be my best rating if I could) . Do not expect sterling studio quality or major broadcast news quality sound from this mic-but we all know where to go for better on that side of things (Senn...Rode...etc). For this price-the sound is acceptable. What is Not very cool is the actual latency of this device. There is a YouTube video up with audio example (search this mic and latency) -and, folks, its definitely a lot higher than the specs shown here. By my ears I would put it above 75ms, close to 100ms input latency. Not good for my case-getting online dance class teachers better sound for their classes. Things need to ... MoreTorn between 3 and 4-but going with 4 for the fact that for the money-it sounds just fine, and comes with all the accessories you need (3.5 stars would be my best rating if I could) . Some might not notice-and really its not terrible for a lot of things, and a sinch to fix in post. But if you gotta be dead on, in sync (under 30ms would be nice, wouldn't it?) and are live...expect this to fall evvvver so slightly short. Use at your discretion.
I brought these mics a while back not really using them much but once I began getting in bigger productions these mics really came in clutch. the gain option on the mics allows for more sound so you can connect them straight to mixers and they work well. then if you want to connect it straight to a camera, they work very good too. very happy about these.
We use this in a large training room directly connected to a laptop hosting on any meeting platform. Presenter has huge range and 2nd mic is very handy for questions from people on site. We typically connect to 10 or more remote sites. The remote users can hear clearly with little to no background noise and there is no feedback from meeting platform or local sound system. Uses single receiver for both Mics with no need for mixer or other controls. Mics can be connected to the included lapel mic or just using the small wireless base (about the size of a small pager). Easy to set up and use and much cheaper that a large room mic system.
