Satechi 100W USB-C PD GaN Wall Charger

This Satechi 100w charger, in my opinion, is a single minded exercise in supplying enough current to charge high output items, eg.. large capacity Lithium-ion batteries etc, and having only one USB-C output slot shows this. If you intend to draw large current from this charger though, it will pay dividends to also invest in USB-C PD high current cables, which will cost more than the standard USB-C cables (maybe several times more), but standard cables can waste a lot of the available power by converting it into heat as the cable simply heats up because it can't handle the load, therefore not supplying the current to where you need it. There are other similar output Satechi chargers with different output options, so you can get the best one for your needs, but this one as I said, is made to do one thing - supply current - and it does that well...!!!

Using it for a docking station for MacBook Pro, seems to work fine

I lost my Apple charger and needed a replacement urgently. I've been using this new charger for a month. It Charges my MacBook Pro perfectly fine. The charger is compact and silent.I wish it came with a cable and a USB A socket. Also rather expensive at full price.

This product is rubbish. The first one lasted 6 weeks and the replacement lasted less than 6 hours. Both just stopped working.

This charges my laptop very quickly and is great since it can charge all of my devices since I have the USB-C cable. It's easy to keep in my bag to have on hand wherever I go. I've had this for a few weeks and have used it multiple times.

Was working great for 3 weeks and then just stopped working out of nowhere. Doesn't charge anything. Also really expensive, especially seeing it broke so quickly for no reason.

Compatible with most laptops

Chargers any laptop compatible with USB-C charging. I bought the satechi 100 w cable and use it for my ASUS ROG Zephyrus. Remember it’s used as a top up, not a permanent charger. It is nice to carry this charger around, or leave this one at work instead of the bulky chargers that come with most Laptops.Note: If used as a permanent charger you can damage your battery life.

Don't buy for MBP 14. Tacky, cheap finish

This is plastic painted silver. I suspected it might be, but given Satechi's signature use of aluminum as a finish I gave it the benefit of the doubt when ordering. In addition to feeling (and looking) cheap, painted plastic has a nasty tendency to scratch and wear hideously. I would have preferred this charger in matte or even glossy black dyed plastic. It's jarring to use alongside a $2,500 MacBook. Returned it and got a better charger from RavPower.
