Chonky boy!

Well this is a chonky boy. The midsole looks like a brick of styrofoam. It also felt like it the first 30 miles. Too stiff at first, but after some break in it feels balanced and soft enough without being plush. It's been perfect for crunching those low-intensive 5-30 mile runs.I have narrow feet with low archs and the Shift 3 fits me just fine. There is room for toe splay and the mid foot lock down is good, but I'd like a tighter fit in the heel. Coming from the Endorphin Speed 3 I enjoy the lower drop but missing the laces.-1 star for roomy heel, silly laces getting untied too often and boring color choices.Would recommend the Shift 3.

Comfortable, but took a bit of getting used to

I'm a longtime Kinvara user (since the 7s) but decided to try the Endorphin Shift 3 model because I'm returning my knee injuries. I thought some extra cushioning would help with my rehab. I found the shoes very pillowy and comfortable when I put them on. Walking in them was more difficult. I felt very unstable because I wasn't used to the higher stack on these. My brief runs were very comfortable, though. I could feel the extra shock absorption immediately. Ironically, they feel better the faster you go and sort of wobbly when walking. As my fitness improves, I'll go back to my Kinvaras but I'm enjoying these for now. I purchased the Granite model, which is sort of a soft grayish-blue. Recommended, but be wary of the added stack if you're not used to it.

Bottom line, I liked the Shift 3 so much I bought a second pair and now use both pair in my rotation.

Horrible. Like running in sand. Do NOT purchase.
24 February 2023

Bought this after running in Endorphin Speeds, Endorphin Pros, Endorphin Speed 2s, AND Endorphin Pro 2s. I was waiting for the Endorphin Elites to drop, and figured I needed a “slow” shoe to balance out my arsenal of go-fasters. Well, these are the WORST purchase I have ever made when it comes to a running shoe (and I tried running in a pair of Nike Cortez about 2 decades ago).If you want to feel like you’re running through SAND your entire run, these are absolutely the shoe for you.If you want to feel like are battling the shoe the emtire run, these are definitely the shoe for you.If you want to feel like you’re running with two toddlers latched onto your legs, again - these are the shoe for you.Not sure who the target was when they created these, but ... MoreBought this after running in Endorphin Speeds, Endorphin Pros, Endorphin Speed 2s, AND Endorphin Pro 2s. Hurt my feet
3 November 2023

I cannot recommend these shoes, they have hurt my feet. I wanted to like them because they are light while still offering lots of padding but I have titanium screws in my feet and so it takes trying many running shoes and actually being able to run in them for a while in different conditions to find ones that fit well and don't put pressure where the screws are located. Because of the terrible return policy of Saucony, I cannot return them. I have to actually wear the shoes in the real world to figure out if I can keep them, and this is something most if not all running companies allow you to do. Saucony is the only one that won't let me return after using the shoes and therefore this is the first and last time I'm buying from you. This is not something a serious running company does.

I/m in Love
18 February 2023

Let me say I love this shoe! The Heel to Toe drop is perfect for me and the cushion is as well!! They are softer than the previous version and wider in my opinion. Both great attributes for this shoe! I have purchased 4 colors already and as someone else has stated I find each shoe fits differently. Some feel longer and some feel wider. Not sure what the issue may be in the manufacturing and I also am not fond of the different shoe laces for each shoe. Some are the nice stretchy lace and others are not and are a little on the short side causing me to have to go out and buy new laces. 1 more thing I would like to see is an all black version of this shoe for women. I wear some of these for work and some are for the gym. The black and white version gets a little old ... MoreLet me say I love this shoe! After 8 hrs on my feet on concrete flooring they don't hurt at the end of the day! The slight stability is a big help as well on a previous fractured ankle and a prior Morton's Neuroma welcomes the added cushion!

Nice shoe for long miles
5 August 2023

I'm a little over 90 miles in these, and I appreciate the a little more with each run. I bought the Concrete colorway, and on the first couple runs I thought it was a description of the midsole foam. It took a good 20 miles for the midsole to soften up and is now very comfortable on those longer slower miles. If you're looking for a spongy feel underfoot, or a bouncy feel as you run, this is not your shoe. This is a shoe designed to absorb impact and make your run more enjoyable. As with all shoes in the Endorphin line, these are not the best on wet hard surfaces. You can feel some slippage as you step through, but it's not horrible. Overall, this is a really good complimentary shoe for the rotation.

Overall a good training shoe, room 4 improvements
11 July 2023

Waited until I had ~50 miles on these shoes to leave a review. I have been running in mainly Brooks Glycerin/Ghost shoes for the majority of the past 5 years. I am a former college mid-distance runner, I now run for fun, ~25-35 miles a week. I was looking to try something new ~1 year ago and bought a pair of Saucony Endorphin Shift 2s. Loved them. My only qualm with those, is that they run small and I had to size up half a size.Fast forward to now, I purchased another pair of Endorphin Shift 3s. I hate breaking in new shoes, never fun, but so far so good. Lots of cushion in these shoes, great for training. The bad.... the heel collar/tab comes up too high, it rubs on my Achilles and also causes any short socks to fall off your heel. I am forced to wear ankle socks in the summer with these shoes to prevent my socks from sliding off my heel. I was hoping that effect would go away as I broke them in, but no such luck. The design team should reconsider the heel tab/collar on the next model.

Terrific shoe in a wide width!
1 May 2023

I decided to buy this shoe because of the good reviews it got and that in had a PowerRun insole. I had the Guide 15, which has that insole and it is so good that I didn't need custom arch orthotics. The Endorphin Shift with the PowerRun insoles is a perfect fit in the wide width. The upper fit with the traditional laces is very comfortable. You feel securely locked in, but there is no pressure on the top of the arch.In addition to the comfort of the fit, the ride is smoother than any shoe I've worn. Yet the cushioning feels responsive and doesn't slow you down. When my feet hit the ground, you can barely hear them. This is written with about 40 miles on the shoe. They felt great from mile one. Really the best shoe I have worn!

What are you doing Saucony?!
23 July 2023

I purchased this shoe and immediately knew this shoe would not work for me. First off, I bought my usual size 5 1/2 and my foot was sliding around in the shoe. Went to a 5 and it felt better I like the way the heel is cupped. But why, why so much cushion?! With all the cushion the shoe feels wide, like I am wearing bedroom pillows strapped on my feet. Like I would have to run differently to accommodate the width of this shoe. I even checked my order to make sure I didn’t order a wide by accident (I didn’t). I had the endorphin 2 and loved it! I ran in those shoes for 2 1/2 years with no problems. Yes, the endorphin 2 also had a lot cushion… but the endorphin 3 is just too much cushion for me.
