Let me start by saying I am not one to write reviews and if I do is to complain. These are incredible shoes! I am loving my guides 17. I've only had them for 2 weeks and bought them to add to my rotation but I find myself grabbing them every single time I go out for my runs, long or short. Very roomy toe box compared to other Saucony models and even other brands. I have very wide feet with an incredibly high instep and most wide models in other brands are not wide enough and still hurt my feet from every angle. Not these. I love how they feel on the road, not so much on a smooth trail surface but they're not trail so it's ok. However once the run transitions to road you feel the magic of these shoes, they can pick up the pace really quick! The stability is ... The stability is exquisite, super stable without being intrusive or aggressive, it's almost as if you weren't using a stability shoe at all, specially because they're so light. I am very satisfied so far with this new iteration and we shall see how the sole fares in a few months. Please keep making roomy shoes, and consider adding more fun colors for us wide footed people. It's sad to only have darker boring colors, I want to be bright and seen when running.

Prior to discovering these shoes, every single pair of sneakers I have worn have given me blisters on my heels. With these shoes I can walk >6 miles per day without any problems whatsoever. I have very wide feet and overpronate. My only complaint about these shoes is that the soles don't last very long. I go through them at a rate of ~5 pair per year because I wear through the soles. This creates a garbage problem as trying to find a way to recycle unusable shoes is nearly impossible. I would love it if Saucony had a recycling program to go with the purchase of a new pair.

I have been using the Saucony Guide design for a decade and the Guide 17 is by far the worst new design. The tounge of the shoe is attached on the inside of the shoe so it has no movement whatsoever. I don't know why companies have started to design shoes this way but it is so annoying. Some of us actually have arches and find it painful to run when the shoe tounge does not move and instead cuts into our ankle. The ankle needs to have open movement when running. It feels like Saucony is now only catering to aesthetics and not practicality. Go back to having the shoe tounge not attached to the inner side walls of the shoe.

I am very impressed with my new Saucony shoes! They are lightweight, yet provide excellent structure and support. The foot bed is wider than I have experienced before and it is a remarkable improvement to my run. The sole width provides superior stability as my foot hits the pavement. The upper materials are quick drying and allow breathability. My only caveat is the heel pull being a tad long, took some adjusting to and was a rather small issue. The design and quality materials make these my top choice. I would highly recommend to others in the market for a quality running shoe!
I bought these shoes a month ago looking for a daily trainer. I am historically not a stability shoe fan — but this is not a typical stability shoe. This corrects your foot, knee, and hip positioning ever so subtly by working with your gait vs. forcing your foot into an unnatural direction. The cushioning absorbs all sorts of shock but is not dead underfoot and rebounds well. It’s not necessarily a speed shoe, but it’s a perfect shoe for people who have historically worn neutral shoes but could benefit from a little more stability. I’ve been running for 20 years and these are among my favorite shoes I’ve ever had. (And trust me, I was skeptical!)
Love these shoes. They are good support for my plantar fasciitis and help quite a bit. They also offer pretty good stability. I don't usually order anything with a raised sole at all because it doesn't work out well for me but I'm not having any problem with these. The fit is excellent, the comfort is A+ and although I was concerned about the money I spent to get them, it didn't take long for me to realize they were worth every penny. This is my first pair of Sauconys (my foot doctor recommended them) and they won't be my last. They're even cute.
I agree with the other review about making Saucony like Hokas...leave them be! The base on these shoes are too wide to get good movement in your ankles and foot. The rocker base and the softness of the shoe make the legs and feet sore. I always commended Saucony on never having a break-in period...I wish I could find the right shoe that I used to wear! My physical therapist liked my Hurricanes due to the narrow base to get good movement out of my ankles and feet after breaking my foot. Seems as if the arches have been lowered in all the shoes...
I tried the Guide 17s today; I'm disappointed. The redesign no longer makes it a Guide, rather it is now a Hoka. I never wanted a Hoka. I could feel a pain in my foot from walking in it. I'm a runner, and I have tried every shoe and I no longer have any options. I have a very slight pronation in my right foot but not enough for a orthotic. Please go back to the design of the Guide 16, or even better the Guide 15s as the support was just right for my feet. Make the Guide 17s a different shoe because it has changed significantly.
I don't love these I bought the pink triumph in wide a while ago and I really really love them. They fit well so I bought a second pair also in pink. I was looking for another pair of the triumph in pink, but they were mostly sold out and didn't have the right colors but I like. So I tried another pair in a different style, the guide 17 in blue and in eggplant. I don't love these shoes they're not as comfortable and my foot is much looser in these shoes than in the triumph even though it's the same size also in the same width. These are expensive shoes so needless to say I am disappointed. I wish I could find the triumph in wide size 9 in that beautiful hot pink that you came out with during the Barbie movie excitement, or at the very least in a blue.
I love these shoes so much. I had always struggled with finding shoes that don’t hurt my feet. I am always on my feet working as a nurse and had recently been suffering from plantar fasciitis from wearing incorrect shoes with little support. I then found out I have wide and flat feet! I was recommended these shoes for extra arch support and ever since wearing these my feet have so much support and my plantar fasciitis has resolved :) so happy with these I had to buy an extra pair for everyday wear. Highly recommend these, super comfy and supportive and cute colourways!
