Cute but feel kind of cheap

I'm torn on these shoes. I've had them for a couple months, and I did keep them, but unsure if I'd recommend them. Definitely cute, like the little bit of a lift in the heel, love the colors (got the white ones with the gold). But the materials seem cheap, I didn't find the shoes particularly comfy, and the sole is extremely rigid instead of flexible, so I don't find them great for long periods of walking (through airports was fine) and certainly not for running. I did have to rip out the insole that came inside (glued down) in order to fit my arch supports in there, which has made a tremendous difference in my comfort level with these, but overall these are 'cute' shoes, not shoes I'd wear for a lot of walking, unfortunately. I love Saucony Jazz Originals! I search for them all the time. I have owned many pairs over the last 5-6 years. My absolute favorite! They’re comfortable and accommodate my orthotics. Hopefully the company will continue making them, they seem to be getting harder to find.

I’ve had many pairs of Saucony Jazz sneakers and was excited when my boyfriend bought me the gold pair for my birthday. However, this will be the last purchase unless major improvements are made.First the tongue of the shoe is cheap and unpadded, it’s like an after thought and just not acceptable for an $80 pair of shoes. It degrades the comfort and appearance of the shoe. Also, they keep sticking in a white tongue instead of fabric that matches the rest of the shoe color, again it makes it look cheap.Lastly, all of the select styles are now unisex with few options specifically sized for women in the Jazz Originals which never fit as well.Needless to say I am less than pleased with the direction this style is going. Not like previous Jazz
5 July 2023

Have worn Saucony Jazz for decades. They’ve always been perfect and comfortable right out of the box. Unfortunately, these feel stiffer and the padding doesn’t seem as plush and generous, especially on the back of the heel. The price has gone up, but the quality seems to have gone down a bit. Sincerely hope that future versions return to the comfortable Saucony Jazz standard. Am now exploring other brands to replace the Jazz.

Returned shoes
20 October 2023

I have been buying these shoes for years. But, the shoes I bought this year were not as comfortable as the previous shoes. I think you must have changed the material because the shoes were stiffer. I returned them. Dealing with your company was wonderful. Ordering was easy and the return was also easy. I wish I could get the same original jazz that I was able to buy years ago.

The Lady and The Jazz

I ordered these for the Missus to near match the Periwinkle pair I ordered for our daughter. The shades of purple are rich and well chosen. The build quality is fantastic. The Missus lives them with the exception she’d love a stretchy lace type option. There are 8 total pairs of Jazz/Jazz 81 in our household.

These are NOT Original Jazz
19 July 2023

I have been wearing Saucony Jazz for 3 decades. These are not them. I have tried my original size and two larger sizes, to no avail. Why oh why would Saucony change something that was beloved to so many customers? It had a wide footbed, regular heal, cushy, walking on clouds from the get-go. These are shorter, narrow in the footbed (tapered, actually), and like walking in wooden shoes. What a disappointment. Alas, after 30 years, I need to find a new, reliable shoe manufacturer. So sad.

Too flat, no arch!
20 November 2019

They would've been great sneakers only if they put an insole with an arch. They are flatter than the old converse All Stars use to be. I expected more from Saucony's. In the 1990's they made them better and they had an arch. They fit big since they don't have an Arch. The insole of a sneaker will make or break them. They kept rubbing on the back of my heal. It is confusing when I have bought sneakers that are the same style and brand and some are too tight, small, a half size bigger. I feel they have a warehouse where they have people make all lefts on one line filling up a cart. on the other line they make all right sneakers. In stead of making a pair together so they both fit the same on each foot. I feel they as well make colors at different places. I say this because I have bought Blue and they were too big, than gray and they were perfect than I bought another pair of Bullet grey and one sneaker was slightly smaller and tighter. This company was my favorite one's. Now I fear to get a pair that what will happen next. Hey! Life has enough problems and when you treat yourself to something special you are suppose to feel good not worry about what is going to happen next.?

Very comfortable, fits about a half size too small
23 May 2020

I got these shoes because I am a nurse and need something for me to be on my feet for a 12 hr shift. I needed a thick sole, something with good arch support, and mostly comfortable. I am a size 9 and when I received my order, I got used shoes that definitely had been worn more than a few times. I got great customer service and received a refund. I ordered another pair and realized that the 9’s fit about a half size too small. So I tried one more time ordered a 9.5 and they fit pretty good. It has ok arch support (I have high arches). But they are very comfortable for 12 hrs of nursing on concrete floors. Don’t know how long they are going to last (I currently go through a pair of shoes every 6-8 months), but they are worth a shot!! Where did the cushion go?
18 October 2023

The cushion that kept me buying Jazz Originals for 20+ years is gone. Jazz Originals usually feel like perfect clouds right out of the box - These felt like crappy normal shoes without the beloved Jazz Originals cushion. Total bummer. I guess my love affair with Saucony is finally over.
