Saucony Peregrine 12 Trail Running Shoes Blue EU 44 1/2 Woman S10737-30-120

(278 reviews)

Fly through the trails with the Saucony Peregrine 12. This tried and true trail shoe has everything that you love from previous versions of the Peregrine but in a lighter, more comfortable and more protective package. In our Peregrine 12 review, testers noted that ldquoIt still feels like the Peregrine that I have known and loved for the past several years, but itrsquos noticeably lighter, more nimble and grippier.rdquo Saucony added a new bendable rock plate that gives you protection and a smooth ride on rocky trails. It also allows the shoe to drain when you are running through streams, rivers or puddles. They redesigned the PWRTRAC outsole to give you better traction and allow you to dig in and take off with speed. Feel comfortable during long or short trail runs with Sauconyrsquos soft, springy PWRRUN cushioning. They even added more comfort with a new sockliner made with PWRRUN+ cushioning. The upper has been stripped down to give you a more comfortable feel. But there is now a tighter weave that keeps dirt and debris out, while still being breathable. Plus, they retooled the laces, using fabric eyelets for a tighter, more locked-down fit. Strategic overlays on the upper to protect against sticks and stones and a toe guard keeps you from stubbing your toe on roots. Take on the trails with confidence in the Saucony Peregrine 12.

Comfortable, but size up 1/2 size

I take a Women’s 10.5 in pretty much all running shoes… and this size can be a tough one to find! As such, I was excited to find the Saucony Peregrine in a 10.5. Unfortunately, my big toe hits the front of the toe box, so I’ll need an 11.Will write an updated review once I receive the 11 and actually run in it. I like the material of the upper; seems sturdier than my Brooks Cascadias. Also a huge fan of the metal loop on the front to attach gaiters! I was not expecting that. I am also looking forward to the improved traction over my Salomon XA Pro 3Ds.

Comfortable, roomy shoe for ultra distance

I was excited to try this shoe, as a couple reviews described at as 'pared down' and 'back to basics.' I need a new technical trail runner with a little more cushion and protection than my Inov-8 Trailtalons, but without the built-up rocker style of most of the current shoe models. Wearing them around the house, these have nice cushion without the squish, comfortable uppers and felt snappy. Ultimately I decided to return because the toebox was quite wide and I didn't feel like I could adequately snug them up for steep descents or traversing rocky terrain. To me, they have more of an 'ultra distance' shoe fit, where there's room for your foot to expand and I prefer a slimmer upper. Typically wear W 10.5-11 and 10.5 in these felt good.

Different fit this time….

First of all I am not a runner, just a skinny old lady that has been wearing Saucony running shoes exclusively since about 1978. I was always physically active and loved the way I felt while wearing a running shoe, and for whatever reason Saucony always gave me the perfect fit. However these guys just did not fit anything like the past 7-8 pairs. The tongue is much thinner material on these and after tying them, the upper lace really dug into my ankle. The shoe was also loose at the back of the heel and slipped.Maybe real runners spend more time lacing their shoes. I really don’t know, but I am looking for a different Saucony.

Great fit, great feel

Great fit and great feel. I love the color and I’m happy with these shoes for all purpose hiking. I purchased these from the fleet feet store because all my other trail hikers/runners we’re getting worn out. These are classy enough to wear as it every day shoe as well. By the way, I’m a woman and I don’t care for flashy shiny girly shoes. These are perfect.

Peregrine 12 delivers a great off road run!
26 December 2023

Another Saucony trail shoe provides a great experience on the myriad surfaces found around a bog. I run 5-8 miles thru Forest and into cranberry bog trails. Peregrine helps protect my feet with the toe bumper and flexible rock plate. Who hasn’t kicked up a rock? No worries with these. The sole lasts a good long time. If used on asphalt or concrete I’m sue the lugs would wear down quickly. Thanks for making a comfortable trail shoe!

Size up!
25 October 2023

Great quality shoe that looks great. It has just the perfect amount of flex/rigidity for a trail shoe.I can't wear them, though! I wear an 8-8.5 and even though the size chart puts me squarely at an 8.5, I really wish I would have sized up to a 9. The shoes are beautiful, but I can't wear them because while they are fine when I put them on, I start developing huge heel blisters after about 2 kms.

So far, so good.
15 March 2023

These are comfortable straight out of the box. I usually sit somewhere between an 8 and 8.5, and I found that the 8 fits just right, with no heel slip. These run true to size as a normal width shoe, so if you have toe splay or swollen feet you may find them a bit on the tight side. The tread is tacky and grippy which will be great for moving over slick, rocky terrain. These are not as light as a Hoka, and the tread is not as cushioned but I was looking for something a little different. The real test will be the durability on 30+ degree days over hot granite where I have found other shoes tend to wear out extremely fast.

Support and Comfort
1 March 2024

I buy the Saucony Excursion TR16 regularly. I walk about 4 miles every day and they are so supportive and look great! The Excursion line is great from street or off street walking/hiking. I like the arch support and cushioning is awesome.

Uncomfortable, narrow, stiff
26 February 2023

I thought maybe I could buy these instead of Altras but I was so wrong. I love Altras but they wear out way too fast. I had some decent Sauconys several years ago, so I just figured in a world full of 3-5mm drop shoes, these might just work. They are very narrow, stiff and uncomfortable. I wore them for five minutes in my house and hated every second of it. These were returned and replaced with Altra Rivera 2s which have the slim foot but are still much more comfy than the Peregrine. I prefer the original Altra foot build, but I found a good deal. So sad. I really thought the Saucony's were pretty.

Very disappointed!
27 September 2024

I purchased these in orange but the mesh material holds the dirt. I tried wiping them off each time I wear them but does not help. They just look dirty all the time. Very disappointed. I like the shoe itself but ordered orange because I liked the bright colour; now I wish I had ordered different colour. Very disappointed!
