I bought these shoes during a sale period and I’m glad I didn’t pay full price for them. I’ve tried to see if they’ll break in but, yesterday, I ran the most painful 16 miles of my life. These shoes caused so much pain in the balls of my feet and my toes. I made it through the run but I won’t be running in these again. I wish I could return them, but Saucony has one of the strictest customer service policies I’ve ever seen re: returns/exchanges (no athlete is going to know if a shoe works for them or not until they run in it). I’ve got a solid lineup of other running shoes and thought I’d give Saucony a shot since I needed some new high mileage trainers but I won’t be purchasing from them again. I used this shoe daily for walking around and standing in the hospital. After one month, the sole was peeling off the bottom of the shoe. The honeycomb pattern of the foam also had started to break off around the edges with more wear. Additionally, had pain in my feet at the end of the day which I did not experience with other similar shoes previously. Ended up returning for a refund.

I will start off by saying I have been running in Triumphs forever. My favorite in the past several years were the 17. I owned four pairs and they felt like pillows to me and I’ve been searching for that in the Triumph ever since. The 18’s were horrible in my opinion - hard as heck. I couldn’t run in them. The 19’s were a little better, but not much - at least I’ve been able to run on them. If you have been waiting for the return of a max cushion (which why we run in Triumphs, right?) then these are for you. I took them out for a short 8 miler and they were super responsive and just the right amount of rocker motion that the original triumphs provided. I didn’t even notice the new heel drop. I bought these a month ago and used them for a few long runs. They were immediately comfortable and I thought they would last my whole marathon training block. However, after just 30 miles, the sole started peeling off. I reached out to Backcountry customer service and all they offered was a $10 refund. Disappointing. I'll be buying a new pair elsewhere.
I got these to mix in with my other running shoes to split my miles throughout the week as I train for a 30k. These shoes are very light and have a good bounce to them. I got these on discount and for the price I paid for them they are great. I do feel like the sole wears down a little faster than Brooks or Hokas, so I tend to wear them on the treadmill or very flat concrete surfaces the most. I would say if you are running ~20 miles a week on tread/concrete these would be a good option for you.
I bought these shoes as an alternative to my well-loved Brooks Ghosts. I love the cushion that they provide for my long runs. The weight is not too much (especially when you don't really care about speed), and I love that I don't have to think about my feet. I probably could have gone 1/2 size down ( I ordered a whole size up from my regular size which is what I usually do with my Brooks running shoes) - but really, no complaints. Have run on treadmill and road any distance from 4-19 miles.
I have the most difficult time finding shoes that work for my feet. Hokas are too wide, even the regular ones. Brooks used to be my go-to, but I think my feet changed over the course of years of running that they no longer work for me. So happy I gave Saucony a try. This is my second pair with the brand, and I've done runs from 6 miles to 15 miles and so far my feet feel fine. No blisters, no arch issues, and no problems with my knees.
I have had these for a few weeks now and have put in some miles in them. I do like them a lot, they are very good for my knees and they have the cushion/bounce to them. I don't give 5 stars only because the bottom white part, the cushion per se is styrofoam! Which was disappointing given the price point of these sneakers. Maybe my stance is narrow but after the first few runs the styrofoam got shaved down from the friction. Very disappointing. Overall though, I do like the shoes. I was just shocked to see styrofoam for the price.
Having worn an older Triumph model the last few years, I was surprised how much cushier these felt on my feet- honestly just incredible. They were comfortable out of the box, but I figured I’d take them out for a shorter run to break them in a bit. They felt so excellent that I did my seven mile run in them, and it was the best time I’d had the last couple years. I went for another seven mile run today. They felt just as wonderful, and my time was solid again. I now plan on getting another pair for when these are done. I didn’t know running shoes could be this comfortable under foot. Go Triumphs!
The sides of the soles of these shoes wore down after wearing them only twice. Once for walking and once for running. I don't run or walk hard or very long. They are made of recylable materials that slowly whittle/break down on their own. I exchanged my first pair, sales person thought they might be defective. Same thing happened with the second pair, so I ended up buying Hokas instead. I liked the light weight feel of these shoes running, however due to the soles wearing down after only 2 times wearing them, I felt they wouldn't last long.
