I wasn't sure how black would work for what I do. It does show any fingerprints etc. quite readily (I wear gloves when I work), but the grain of the paper is solid enough to appear smooth and it doesn't really reflect much. The paper is sturdy and it flattens out fairly quickly, so curling isn't really an issue. Ordering with free shipping is a big plus, too. I have about 10 different colors now.

Love the fact that they only ONE limish green (tech green) to choose. They did homework for customer and not allowed several shades of it. Yes there is Forest green, etc., but if you have just a toe dipped into the industry; it removes all doubts. The paper is durable as well with a glare-resistant quality. Only con is shipping time. But I guess everyone is having shipping speed issues in this Covid era. We have bought a total of 4 different roles and colors.
I am very happy with this product. It looks great and is sturdy. It is an excellent backdrop for a green background or to use as a green screen. And, for the price, it is exceptional. (I purchased the stand to hold the paper rolls from B&H Photo several years ago.)
Regarding Savage green screen background paper: I use this paper mostly for the floor. Fabric would be ideal, but after people stepping on it several times you will eventually have to wash it. With paper backrounds you can just roll out a new section. Fabrics cost $ to $ plus washing. Paper will cost you $ and will last 10 years or more with proper care. I recommend using packing tape on the backside to prevent tearing though. Greenscreen effects are all about lighting, not the color. This is just as good as any other in my opinion. No regrets.
Seamless background paper isn't the sexiest photo product, but it must arrive in good shape. The 107 inch roll was perfect and works great as a tech green background paper for compositing.
The idea behind using the Savage #46 Sage/Techgreen paper background was to 1) provide the ability to quickly change out the background using wall-mounted triple-hooks, 2) reduce cost, 3) reduce setup time, and 4) eliminate the need/worry of having to iron a cloth background. This product, in conjunction with a few other items (see Accessories I Recommend), did just that. The product shipped superbly packaged. Nice, heavy duty paper. Popped in the varidrives on both ends and mounted to wall-mounted triple-hooks. Easy. The Manfrotto paper counterweight (attached to end of roll) is essential to smooth raising/lowering of background. This neither affect performance nor introduces creases in the paper at this point; just makes you want to roll the paper a little more slowly. NOTES: You'll need at least 2x the length of the roll of room to remove the BG from the shipping tube. I simply slit the tape (about 8 pieces) that keeps the roll from unraveling; it provides a good visual indicator of when to stop rolling up the paper.
I've been using this seamless paper for studio stuff for years and absolutely love it. It's a thicker paper, so it lasts a long time per use. Very high quality, I highly recommend!
Ok guys. This paper absolutely must have for your studio if you want to encrease drastically your portrait work. As quantity and quality. Less photoshop, more stunning pics - more satisfied customers. I highly recommended it for any photo people. For begginers, for hobbyst, for professionals. You can`t go wrong with this amazing background.
