Good service for pickup due to Covid19. Quicker than by myself to find the product in the shop.It's cheap and good enough for ordinary job. But for some very hard wood job, I will chosean axe with bigger diameter handle.

Bought this axe to help get rid of agapanthus that were taking over the garden, as digging them out was going to be near impossible. This axe was brilliant. Cut strait thru the huge plants & their huge root systems that were almost as big as the plants & some roots as thick as my arms. This axe didn't miss a beat. & can't beat it for the price.

I bought this not expecting much given the price but thought I would give it a go. I wish I had spent a bit more on a better axe. It just doesn’t cut very well at all. I sharpened it and it’s a bit better but still not great.
This axe is horrible no matter how much you sharpen it it still wont cut through timber even the smallest logs for a wood fire, id hate to see how bad it is if used on felling trees.
We bought this alongside a bag of firewood and the hatchet didn’t even dent the wood. Taking it back. Shouldn’t even be on sale.
Disappointed with this product as it isn't sharp enough for the job i had. I wasn't expecting much because of the low price but it should have done the small job i had.
In the description of the product it says "Great for cutting fire wood"The only firewood this thing is cutting would have to be severely burned. Super disappointed
This doesn't seem to cut through wood. Compared with our old cracked axe that we were replacing, this Saxon Axe required more attempts and greater force to split the wood. Perhaps the fibreglass absorbs too much impact or the shape of the head/blade is wrong? Definitely wouldn't recommend, we have taped up the old axe.
complete rubbish. handle snapped off. gets stuck in wood.don't buy save you money and get something better.
