My experience with these is through an auto museum I volunteer with, and a friend who had a set. He sold me these after they failed and I have been rebuilding them over the last few days.Things to watch out for.1. The Supercheap Jacks have plastic rollers which deform under load and have split more often than not, resulting in a less than efficient rolling action on the tyre. In time they become useless.2. The reason for the defamation is that the rollers are only supported at each end and not in the middle. A simple design flaw which could have been improved at little cost.3. Refurbishing involves fabricating more supports (from nylon) and inserting them with spacers (pic pipe lengths) within the rollers to give the required support.

After reading the numerous reviews, many of which were adverse, I bought 2 positioning jacks when on sale with some trepidation. However I have been pleasantly surprised. They easily fitted under the 11 inch wide rear tyres of my BMW, and were much easier to use on a couple of other cars, certainly quicker and more efficient than the non jacking style of wheel trolleys that require jacking the car before and after use. Having used these jacks for most days in the last week to help move some non running classic cars from one garage to another, I have experienced no problems and highly recommend them.

I didn't buy this to move a vehicle around, I bought one just to assist with removing and refitting the big wheels and tyres off my 4WD. Jack the car up with a trolley jack or similar so the tyre is about an inch off the ground, place the positioning jack under the tyre and take the weight then just slide the wheel and tyre off or on. Much easier than trying to lever them back on while aligning the lug nuts.

I was really annoyed at first because the car would not move without a huge, huge effort and struggle. I was getting my words ready for SCA when i read a review here about piling on the lubricant. So i gave it a go, i sprayed a very small amount on each side of the dolly wheels and whoooola! my much heavier Vehicle (double the weight) was doing 360's no problem. Its all they needed
I purchased 4 of the jacks online and received them within a week of ordering. I immediately tested the jacks and unfortunately 1 of the 4 was faulty (leaking) but this was replaced by my local SCA store without any questioning. The only improvement that I can suggest for the product is for the wheels to have internal bearings, rather than just rolling on the bolts, as this tends to cause extra drag, making the moving of the lifted vehicle harder than expected. Some of the other moving parts seem a little flimsy / light.
I had three now I have four. Move a camper trailer and a boat trailer. Wheels too big on camper trailer as positioning jack for up to 14 inch wheels. It should be bigger. Still works though. You need two not one and should be sold in pairs not singularly. Can be hard to move depending on weight and position of the wheels on the positioning jack when you first start pushing into place. Happy enough with product. A bit overpriced in my opinion and best to buy when on special when you can get two for one.
These go jacks lifted the car and did allow us to manoeuver it around the shed. However, it was a lot easier to move the back end of the car, than the front. The front end obviously has the most weight in it, but the castors sometimes struggle to change direction with weight on them. Once they are all aligned in the direction you want to go, then it is possible to push the vehicle. But if you then wish to change the direction you are pushing the car, they don't spin around easily (with weight on them)
I bought these with some intrepidation. You see, my van is about 2.25 T dead weight.I needed to move my van about 500 mm sideways to get it into the correct position in the carport.Oh well it's sink or swim time. The van was pushed as best by the Wildtrak into position for the next move.I attached the SCA Vehicle Positioning trolleys and in no time flat, it was in the correct position with minimal effort.Great buy, I can truly recommend these tools.Unfortunately, one of my jacks had an oil leak n left a small patch of hydraulic oil on my new concrete.I'll need to get it checked out.All in all, I'm extremely pleased with my purchase.
I bought these as Iβm a car detailer and saw them as the answer to helping move vehicles around my detailing space. What their specs donβt tell you is they only fit a maximum tyre diameter of 630 mm. The biggest wheel I could get this on is a 17β wheel with a super low profile. Family SUVs - forget it.
I bought these today to move my 80 Series Landcruiser around the shed.Sure its a big car but these things are rated at 680 kg each. My Cruiser including accessories is 2525 Kg curb weight, its got a bull bar, winch and roof rack.I'm still nearly 200 kg inside the curve AND I CAN'T BUDGE THE CAR AT ALL without damaging panels or hurting myself.Even with a length of 4 x 2 its impossible to lever it into motion, FORGET ABOUT ANY KIND OF CONTROL.My shed floor is as smooth as ice. There is no reason why it shouldn't work other than they are not suitable for anything other than a small car.Oh yes, as others have mentioned, they don't fit under your average 4wd tyre.

Own a workshop and a few vehicles? Or perhaps you need to squeeze a car into a tight space? Then you need the SCA positioning jacks. Built from high quality steel and utilising a heavy duty hydraulic lifting mechanism - these positioning jacks are capable of holding up to 680kg per wheel. That's enough to make them suitable for use with almost all cars, four wheel drives and even light trucks. These jacks simply wrap around a wheel, and clamp the tyre from the front to the rear until the vehicle is lifted off the ground. These jacks are designed to fit tyres of up to 300mm in width, and the jack itself has been designed with a large pad, allowing the user to operate the mechanism with their foot. By placing a jack under each wheel and simply pumping the foot pump, the vehicle will raise onto the four 360 degree swivel castor wheels; allowing you to easily manoeuvre your car into otherwise impossibly tight areas or even spin the vehicle on the spot!
