The knives are wonderfully sharp - I feel a like chef slicing and chopping so quickly and easily. The knives are balanced really well which makes them so much easier to use. We only have a small bench space for our knives and the knife block fits beautifully into the space. We have wanted good knives for a long time but been apprehensive about what brand to buy. We are very happy with our purchase.

They are the best value for money knives I’ve ever used. They are sharp and designed well to fit into your hand. In fact I had to be careful early on due to the sharpness of the knives and the little force required to cut things.
I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my in-laws, they have just renovated their kitchen. My ONLY disappointment is that I didn't order a set for myself. The knives are beautiful, nicely weighted, and perform as you would hope. The knife block is a little plain and I can hardly see the brand for Scanpan on it. I guess it doesn’t matter…. :)
I wanted a set of knives to compliment the wood trim in our new kitchen. The Scanpan knife-block is a fairly handsome piece; its finish is good, not perfect and I would rather have a little more space between the knives to make it easier to remove them. The quality of the blades looks good rather than excellent (e.g. my Global bread knife seems to be suerior quality) but I'd like to use the Scanpan knives for a few months before judging their durability/ quality. The knives themselves are well weighted and have a comfortable grip, which makes them easy to use. At the special Christmas sale price they were a very good buy.
