This pan is great. I cook curries, chicken dishes but the best dish is creamed rice with raisins. The pan allows me to heat the milk to a high temp without burning and then simmer. No problems . Very happy with my purchase.
It is a great size casserole dish. Looks great so it can go from stove directly to the table. I was worried about the handle overheating but it is only luke warm too the touch and never overheats. The only issue I had was that food tends to stick to the outside of the dish but it only happens on gas stove. I recently changed to induction cooktop and that eliminated that problem. Very happy with the product.
I love this pot. It is good size for cooking for 2. It fits onto fridge shelf. Easy to clean. Haven’t used it in the oven yet but it is a good feature to have.
I was replacing a pot we have had for over 35 years and used almost daily. This pot has turned out to be even better. And it fits in the same space as the old one. I was concerned that the metal handles would get burning hot - but they do not! The glass lid is very helpful for seeing the contents without lifting the lid, and it all goes in the dishwasher. Couldn't ask for anything better.
Hi- I am very happy with the scan pan Dutch oven I purchased. It cooks very well and the surface is staying bright and shiny. Only have one concern, I noticed there is a gap between the glass of the lid and the metal which holds it in place. This gap was noticeable as it collected the pumpkin soup I was making. I will have to be careful with this issue as it will be tricky to clean.
I am happy with my new saucepan as I needed a decent size (not too small or too big), made of Stainless Steel, and compatible with all cooking energy sources.All my cookware are Scanpan non-stick cooking surfaces and could scratch easily if I use a metal whisk when making special sauces and creams.It is heavy duty and of good quality.
I use this 4.8L casserole pot by Scanpan a lot!It’s a great size and my go-to pot for making soups and curries and boiling pasta. It can go from sautéing vegetables and meat before simmering the contents to then storing it in the fridge once cooled. Cooks everything nicely and food doesn’t stick to it for the most part.I appreciate how sturdy they are and they come out looking like brand new when you give them a good clean with steel wool and a suitable cleaning product.The internal capacity markings are pretty handy.
