Description With many years of experience, SCANPAN's Danish designers have developed the popular stainless steel Impact range with all the features you would expect from SCANPAN. This 32cm Covered Wok is an elegant piece ideal for Asian cooking with its stylish two tone matt/polished appearance with a glass lid to enable easy viewing of your cooking in progress. The optimal 6.4mm thick bonded sandwich base ensures optimal heat distribution. Compatible with all energy sources including induction, this range is as wide as it is popular. The rim design allows for drip-free pouring and the handles are secured with heavy duty rivets. The contemporary satin finish and polished internal finish suits all kitchen dé ; cor. Do not use harsh scourers Routine Cleaning After cooking, do not put cold water in hot pan ; wait until cool, remove all food and fat residue using hot soapy water and nylon cloth/brush ; Heat tint or streak marks can be caused by excessive high heat. Do NOT use excessive high heat. To remove streak marks, mix 2 table spoons of bi-carb soda with water to create a paste. Apply the paste with a soft cloth in circular motion, then rinse off as normal. Whilst the range is dishwasher safe, handwashing is recommended to extend the life of the product. For even better results, use the SCANPAN Steel and Copper Cleaner for an "as new" finish.

Actually I already wrote review for peter’s of Kensington 9 days ago.Thank you very much Peter’s of Kensington for your delivery for my purchased 1 piece of Scanpan Impact Stainless Steel wok with glass lid was very on time and packaging absolutely the best because they wrapped it in double box then another wrapping pepper so very safe packaging, nothing broken glass lid. I’m very happy. They price under the kitchen shops also they gave discounts voucher so even lowered price. Absolutely well done 👍

We were in a hunt for a large wok and this definitely fits the bill! We have had few woks prior, and this one is the best. So sturdy, doesn’t stick and you can’t beat stainless steel. I love that it has a lid, so you can keep food covered once cooked. So happy with our purchase!

I admit that I was sceptical that you get a wok to perform as well as the traditional chinese thin metal units you put on a gas burner.BUT the SCANPAN stainless steel wok is BETTER than the old way.With the induction cooktop I can get those immediate high temperatures essential for stir fryingAnd then you can take it down to simmer straight awayBRILLIANT
We were in a hunt for a large wok and this definitely fits the bill! We have had few woks prior, and this one is the best. So sturdy, doesn’t stick and you can’t beat stainless steel. I love that it has a lid, so you can keep food covered once cooked. So happy with our purchase!
I bought a stainless steel wok with my eyes open, in that I knew in advance you need to season it *before each use* to avoid food sticking to it and burning. The Wok with Tak YouTube channel has a good video about what he calls "spot seasoning", which I followed with good results.If you follow those instructions for preparing and maintaining this wok you'll get great results with it. It has the capacity to make stir fries for four people. You can put it in the dishwasher because it's stainless steel so cleaning is simple. I've also used it for boiling rice with no problems. Haven't tried it in the oven yet but I have confirmed it will fit inside a standard sized oven with the door closed.
Purchased this Wok to replace a non stick wok I had purchased. This was a great purchase! Was not disappointed with the quality at all and for a really great price I couldn’t resist. I have used this already a handful of times for all types of cuisines and to wash this up isn’t as hard as some might think! With a hot water soak and a gentle clean looks as good as new all over again!

It's proved a bit cumbersome storeage wise.The main issue downside though is that due to the stainless steel manufacture it is recommended by Scanpan only to use over 'medium heat', otherwise food will stick to the surface and become a cleaning issue. Also means you cannot use metal utensils - only wood or silicon otherwise the surface will easily scratch and damage.This defeats the purpose of the true wok, which is to use very high temperatures to quickly stir fry and to obtain that 'authentic' wok flavour. If that's important to you, you will never achieve that with this wok.Due to the large surface area, it still does an ok job, but you do have to cope with 'stewing' rather ... We've burned through one non-stick wok every year like clockwork for a number of years. This time I decided to just get a Scanpan stainless steel wok because of the success we've had with the Scanpan Satin frying pan. This wok is excellent, heats up SUPER fast on the induction and gets you cooking right away. Was really easy to clean afterwards with a nylon brush and it's very light-weight compared with other woks we've had.
This is just another very user friendly high quality Scanpan product.I have been using Scanpan for 15 years now and never disappointed. I am certainly not with this Wok. This was good value for money and does the job very very well.Is it the very best Wok in the world? Probably not. But with Scanpan you're not paying the dollars some Woks try to demand and I'd defy most of us "Mothers and Fathers" to tell the difference.
I have just bought it and used it once to fry somr eggplant.Much nicer size and heat distribution than a standard flat pan.Really made a difference to see my egg plant crispy brown rather than burnt and squashed.
