It's hard to know what you're buying online, but I'm really happy that I purchased this saucepan. It's deeper than my previous 20 in. which is a plus and I'm impressed that the handles stay cool. So far everything I've cooked in it, on a gas cooktop has cooked well, there's been no problems with food sticking and it's easy to clean. This saucepan is quite heavy, (for me anyway), so the helper handle is a must when removing it from the stove. I've noticed that it also stays quite cool. The only thing I don't like is that the rivets inside make it difficult to use a scraper tool. I made mousse in it the other day and it was difficult to work around the rivets. Overall though, I love it and I'm looking the get the 28cm frypan next.

This is an excellent little saucepan. It's a good size for boiling a couple of eggs or making gravy or custard. I use it for warming milk for my stovetop espresso. I was sceptical about the "non-drip" rim but it's actually true! So easy to pour, the stainless is easy to clean. Exactly what I was looking for!

I am delighted with this saucepan. I cook lots of sauces and syrups that can be easily ruined with poor quality cookware and they cook beautifully in this saucepan. The base allows even heating and I have no problems with food sticking to the pan. The silver finish allows me to see if butter or syrup is burning. The straight sides allow ease of mixing. The handle stays cool and is very comfortable to hold, allowing the saucepan to be well balanced. I am left hand dominant and have no difficulty tilting the saucepan using my right hand only, to deliver small amounts of liquid or sauce into whatever dish I am preparing. So happy I finally bought this saucepan and lid. I’ve had some other Scanpan Impact saucepans and frying pan for a while and love them as they are so easy to get clean. I’ve never had to use abrasive cleaners in them and except for the frying pan, look as good as the day I bought them even after I burnt dry the contents on one of them. I love the weight of the saucepan so the weight of the handle doesn’t make it tip when it’s empty or only has a small amount of food in it which is what happened with my previous small expensive Italian saucepan. I also love the measurements on the inside so I don’t have to guess how much water to put in it. It pours without mess and love the lid which helps strain contents without messy spills. The lid is also easy to remove without burning hands. A couple of negative things I found with this type of Scanpan lid - I have to remember to have a plate handy to place the lid on when I remove it as it holds moisture and awkward to turn upside down. Also when these types of lids are washed up they don’t dry around the rim so have to be sat overnight to completely dry but such minor disadvantages to have secure, well fitting lids that I can see through.
These pans are great. I bought the set of 3 more than 10 years ago. One of them has now been relegated to the camping box (it's still in good condition, it's just the perfect size for the gas burner camp stove). I replaced it with a new one. They cope with the dishwasher fine and the glass lids are great for keeping an eye on how things are cooking. They are also a reasonable price when purchased on sale.
I purchased this small saucepan at a Myer sale. I wanted to boil a potato for my bachelor dinners. Not a lot to say, except it is a very well made saucepan with quite a heavy base. I'm impressed. Very well polished.Would recommend to a friend. Location Melbourne.
I have used Scanpan pans for 20 years. They are excellent quality and I can recommend them. They are very easy to clean and always come up looking like new. I have the set and so you have a pan for everything from boiling eggs to cooking pasta. I also have two frying pans
I have another couple of larger Scanpans. This purchase was to replace an Esteele I recently burned out...forgetting I was cooking and went off to do some weeding in the garden! :( It is better than the Esteele as the handle keeps cooler and has a nicer feel. Being able to look through the glass lid is excellent. Saved me burning another dish already!
Stainless Steel is great to cook with. I was gifted a Stainless Steel frypan. I am loving it. After years of great service it is time to start replacing my old cookware so I replaced a couple of frypans and this pot. So impressed I wish now I had bought a set. I will definitely be replacing the remaining older pots with new from this range. Love them.
