The Scarpa Generator is the comfiest and most supportive all-day trad climbing shoe ever made. Over two years of study and research have led to the creation of the Generator, the shoe that guarantees top performance for trad climbers combining excellent comfort and support for prolonged use on big walls and multi-pitch trad climbs. Built on a traditional last with a full-length 1.4mm Flexan Dynamic midsole, the Generator is stiff enough for technical edging and supportive enough for all day use. Coupled this with 4mmm of Vibram's XS Edge rubber and you have one of the most sophisticated, classically shaped edgers in the game. Cusping the bottom of the foot like a hand, the Tri-Tension system helps the Generator maintain its classically profiled shape whilst securing your foot in place comfortably and supportively to transfer power from heel to toe. Various bits of TPU have been placed across the shoe, like on top of the foot underneath the bottom laces, to protect the shoe (and your foot) from abrasion and wear whilst scumming and jamming. The inner of the shoe is comprised of seamless Eco Leather that runs underneath the front of the foot to stop it moving whilst climbing and keep it free from niggling hot spots. Whilst the rest of the shoe is made from Eco Leather reinforced with 0.6mm of microfibre to help the shoe maintain its shape and comfort over prolonged use.
