The new 2022 redesign of the famous down-turned, slip-on rock climbing shoe from Scarpa The Instinct S has been completely redesigned to offer the same high-performance climbing experience as the predecessor but with modern material improvements. Designed for steep athletic rock routes that demands a high degree of dexterity the shoe aimed at technical boulders and upper-grade sport routes. Highly flexible the S the most subtle model of the Instinct family, utilising the all-new CTS technology that combines elastic tension on the length with high friction rubber on the forefoot to provide exceptional technical performance. Soft M50 rubber evenly distributes power across and around the toe area whilst reducing pressure on exterior toes allowing you to climb harder for longer. A large rubber cover on the toebox means the Instinct S at home with toe hooking, while an internal heel cup aids for heel hooks on slabby terrain. The slightly asymmetrical and downturned shape with a medium angled toe box has been specifically designed for precision footwork.Constructed with a five panelled microfibre upper the unit reinforced with an elastic closure with a seamless big toe panel and seamless four-toe panel that offer the best custom moulding fit. This upper sits on a 1mm half-length Flexan insert which spreads the force in the forefoot and allows for excellent flexibility in the rear of the shoe.3.5mm three quarter lengthier Vibram XS Grip 2 on the sole units provides ample stickiness for delivering performance on the steepest of terrain.
