Very sturdy boots that supports your foot and ankle. Extremely comfortable and took no breaking in. Not the lightest of boots and a little pricey, but overall if you can afford them, it’s well worth a buy

Great boots! Very comfortable and need very little breaking in. Grip is great and the sole pattern works very well on all surfaces.

I have not worn the boots I purchased outdoors yet, but hired a pair of them on a recent trip and found them to be overall decent quality. Needless to say, I went on to order a pair for myself as soon as I returned home. Reasonably roomy inside and generally comfortable to wear though could have more padding for additional comfort. Personally I would like more arch support underfoot, but appreciate everyone’s foot shape is different and that’s nothing a separate insole can’t fix. They are solid boots which seem durable and built to last. Easy to adjust lacing to customise the fit. Good grippy sole unit, stiff and ideal for kicking steps in snow.

No idea! Yet to receive my order from Hardloop. AVOID using this company if you are living in the UK as Brexit has ruined free trade with European websites. If you voted Tory, hang your head in shame.

Only pair that fit!

This is my first pair of mountaineering boots, so take this review with a grain of salt.They fit! I’m a size 50 (15us) and this is the only pair of shoes I could find in my size after calling around all of Seattle. I’ve used them once since I bought them, the worked as expected, no blisters, only slightly sore feet after climbing a mountain.Compared to rentals (that don’t exist in my size) these boots appeared much more comfortable.They are a bit warm for summer climbing, but nothing uncomfortable.I want to call out the staff at feathered friends who spent a lot of time with me to find the perfect boot, make sure it fit and taught me different ways I didn’t know to tie the boot that help minimize blisters. Outstanding Boots

These are excellent boots. Comfortable straight out of the box for a 4 mile walk. Looking forward to covering many miles in the snow in the next few weeks.

Bought these boots a week ago and did a light 4 mile break in hike up and down this morning. Here are my thoughts.I was looking for a boot to use during colder weather. Boots are lighter than I thought they would be in comparison to an older pair of Garmont leather Dakotas that I've been wearing. I would not describe them as deep winter boots for temps below zero but they should do what I need them to do most of the time in NH and Maine. They are slightly more flexible in the upper than the Garmonts. Fit in forefoot is a bit wider than the Garmonts. I threw out the stock footbed and installed the Superfeet green footbed which I've always used. They were very comfortable on the break in and no issues.In terms of sizing, I'm wearing a medium weight sock. With the medium weight socks, I ended up getting size 45. The 44.5 was going to be a bit tight, though it would probably be fine as a summer boot with thin socks. For comparison to other shoes, I wear an 44.5 in the Garmonts, a bit tight, and size 11 in Brooks Glycerin running shoes. I wear a 10.5 in several shoes from LL Bean, the bison loafer and the Stonington shoes). Width was very good - I have D width fairly skinny foot and leg.Overall, very happy with the fit. Scarpa: putting soul into looking after soles.

Perfect for my feet for the past dozen years. Robust durable and great quality for the price. They will last 3-4 yrs and I wear them for work everyday in all weather and seasons. Fantastico!

Sizing

Just got them and tried them on, they fit true to size with a thin liner and merino sock. I have wide feet but not hugely wide, no pinching and some wiggle room in the toe box. The foot bed is ridgid but a little give (hinge) in the ankles coupled with the insulation and water proof it should be a good choice for a wide application in the mountains and back country. Once break in is completed and worn I'll update the review, it's been a hard find for this fit.

Very glad FF carries large sizes!

I had a terrible time finding boots that fit my feet, but luckily Feathered Friends had these in stock in size 49 (and size 50 too!). They fit great and worked perfectly on my climb of Mt Whitney. Another reason I keep coming back to Feathered Friends!
