Loved them. I know boot fit is specific to the individual foot but I’ve paid more for boots and didn’t like them as much as these. Hiked probably 15 miles total on the first trip out in them and zero complaints, no soreness and no blisters.

I've got about 200 miles on these boots now mostly with a heavy pack on and I haven't got one blister or hot spot or anything I absolutely love these boots.

The first trip for these boots was in the Wilderness between 6500 and 7500 ft elevation chasing Elk. Lots of side hill and loose rock. I slipped off logs into streams and walked through muddy wallow and bedding areas, staying dry unless it went above the boot top. Great support and grip. I will be sticking with Scarpa in the future.

I wear a 10.5 in most boots and the Mescalito in 44 is a perfect fit. I added a set of sole insoles and the
Super nice boot, pretty narrow
I wanted to love these boots. I tried them in Patagonia and backpacking in Colorado where I live. They are durable and extremely stiff which is what I wanted. The toe box is tiny and there is a large seam on the heal - both of which caused me to have the worst blisters of my life (I have never gotten blisters until these shoes). Most likely my feet, they may or may not work for you.
A reasonably lightweight yet sturdy, comfortable and accomplished walking boot for the serious walker, fell climber and mountaineer for most conditions except where you need crampons as they are not crampon rated. But if you want a serious boot with the greater comfort you get from a boot with a more flexible sole then this is the boot for you. Top class fit, finish and materials - look like they are built to last. As I am around a size 7.5 the boots size 8 are a little on the big side for me.
The boots feel good and look great. I haven't taken them out for a hike yet, but just trying them on give me a lot of confidence that they will be great out on the hills.
Very comfortable from the get go. High quality as one would expect from Scarpa and they look and feel like they are very hard wearing.
Waterproof boots that fit snuggly around the heel.
