Bought it on sale because I'm apparently a sucker for a good deal. But this thing is excellent. The finish is just fantastic on it. I couldn't find a flaw anywhere. The green and blue are great colors. The neck is bound with single ply black binding. It tuned up quickly and has held tune great. It came setup very well. I lowered the action just a bit but that was my preference. The tuners seem very good. The bridge pickup I like a lot. It sounds great and is plenty hot. The neck I'm not a huge fan of. To my ear it sounds kind of dark and bass heavy. I raised it some and raise the treble side even more and it's better but still not great. The knobs feel a bit cheap but they work fine, don't wobble and are nicely finished. No fancy electronics but for the price I ... I'm not a giant fan of flat necks but it plays good and if you were a big fan of flat necks you would probably love it. The frets were nicely polished and smooth. The string though body really dose provide superb sustain. It will sing for a very long time. Can't say how great this is for the price. I would definitely buy another Schecter guitar.

Overall a nice guitar. I got it on the SDD price for 279 and it is wee worth it. Very light weight to gig out with and has some good tones. We play a variety of music so it sounds good with classic rock country or blues. For me it is a good go to guitar and is a wonderful back up/change of pace. The first time I gigged out with it I got several comments on it. It is also a beautiful finish as I got the green one. Oh, and the neck feels great, no sharp frets. It feels great to play and I can't wait to play out with it again.

I recently went to Guitar Center to find a guitar to use at my church that was loaded with humbuckers. I have a single coil Fender that is great but I wanted a little thicker sound for lead breaks. I tried guitars from $199 to $699 (that was my price range going in) and this guitar was exactly what I needed. Each person is different and not every player will prefer this but for me it is right. I took one star off ONLY because I think it would benefit from locking tuners but that is something I can handle myself. I have owned guitars from as cheap as $75 to over $2000 and this guitar plays as well as any. It is definitely worth trying if you are looking to buy another instrument. It may not feel right for you but I love it. Oh and before I forget.....this is my very ... MoreI recently went to Guitar Center to find a guitar to use at my church that was loaded with humbuckers. Got this on sale. Bought it for my son's birthday. He loves Schecter guitars and the color green. I've never been a fan of his Schecter's because there so heavy sounding, but that's his kind of music. I brought it home plugged it in to check set up and intonation and so on. Played great right out of the box. Started playing over some backing tracks and was amazed. My wife even said it was a great sounding guitar. I liked it so much I hunted down the the purple one and went out and bought it the same day. Great guitar. It stands out on my wall of Gretsch, Fender, G&L, Gibson, Epiphone, PRS. But it also fits right in.
I'm crossing learning guitar off my bucket list. The first guitar I bought was OK, but wasn't great. Seeing this online peaked my interests. The shape and colors are beautiful, and I knew that it would be something that I'd play for a while even after I get better. Since there weren't many reviews, I was a little nervous about getting it, but I decided to take the chance. Picked this up after returning the first one, and when I got home, I immediately unboxed it and tuned it up. What a difference! My fingers fit better on the frets, it was lighter than the other one, and it looks like art. My chord practice has been a lot smoother since then and I get some good sound from it, especially with a little distortion. The only downside is that I've noticed a little fret ... If you're looking to learn or want a nice practice guitar this is a good choice.
I love this guitar out of the box. The finish is beautiful and I haven't seen any visible flaws yet. I love the contrast of the glossy body against the satin finish of the maple neck and the black hardware. I noticed the product description says it has chrome hardware, but it is like the photos show, black hardware. I've only used cheap guitars over the years (and it's been more years than I want to admit since I last played guitar) and this is easily the nicest guitar I've owned to this point. I know it's an inexpensive instrument, and I know that more experienced musicians will have more information on the pros and cons than I can provide, but to me this is a really nice quality instrument for a great price. I would happily buy another one if I chose to add ... MoreI love this guitar out of the box. The finish is beautiful and I haven't seen any visible flaws yet. A "surprise" Christmas gift from the wife has been "surprisingly" great! After a few minor 'tweaks' that I usually have to do to any new guitar, this guitar plays and sounds great. The 24 fret neck is comfortable with pretty easy access to the 24th fret. The Schecter pickups are pretty clean and have decent tonal flexibility, dirty or clean. I've been playing this guitar more than I would anticipated. Which is surprising.
short version- visually disappointed but it plays well. everyone working did their best to help me.long version my experience- My first guitar and I decided to pick Schecter. I picked this one because I fell in love with the green color look of it.First one arrived but it was damaged. Before it arrived I got a call saying it was damaged and if I wanted to go through with it, I did. It was beautiful but the chip made me upset. It was the last one they had in stock at the time. It took a weekish later for it to arrive and the day it arrived I noticed it was back in stock. Maybe if I can exchange it? I went to the store to check if it was really back in stock and if I could exchange it, they could. I went back home and waited for it to arrive. When it did I took it ... When it did I took it straight to the store and they helped me order a new one again. 2 days later it came, but I didn't like this one. Color is dark and the green color i liked wasn't there. The only visual part I like is the headstock. but because of the price and that it was my first guitar , I'll stick through this one. I think I just have bad luck
First, I'd like to address the common complaints. The fretwork on this guitar was fine, I didn't have any of the sharp edges others have complained about. The edges could be a little smoother, but nothing I feel the need to address any time soon.I never thought I'd own a Schecter, Jackson, Ibanez, etc... just not my style. I have between 20-30 guitars ranging from sixty buck diy strats to 2-3k Gibsons... with plenty of Fenders and Epiphones in between. This is one of the 3 or 4 most inexpensive guitars I own but much more in the middle of the pack as far as overall quality goes. The action on delivery was way too high but I expected to do my own setup anyway. This is one of the 3 or 4 most inexpensive guitars I own but much more in the middle of the pack as far as overall quality goes. The action on delivery was way too high but I expected to do my own setup anyway. I was able to get the action to where most of my Epiphones and Fenders are without any fretting out (about .050" on the high e at the 12th fret, .070" on low e). I could probably go lower but I stopped here because it felt good. I also used a fret rocker to see if there were any high frets. The 4th fret was slightly high but had no impact on the playing. One thing I didn't expect, since it didn't come with coil splits out of the box, was that the pickups both have 4 wires going into the control cavity (along with the shield). So it didn't require the open heart surgery on the pickups to get the coils split like I was expecting. I just dropped in a push/pull and now it's split (which is a very useable sound with these pickups). Both pups are hotter than what I normally like but lowering them made them sound more on par with PAF types pickups I'm used to. I have nothing bad to say about this guitar, the color (aquaburst) was what made me buy it (along with the 249 price tag) but the overall sound and quality is why I'll keep playing it.
So, I'll be honest. I am by no means a professional guitarist - in fact, I only recently started seriously playing. I've been tinkering around for years, though, and have been a guitar enthusiast and fan for even longer than that. This is the third guitar I own, and it's quickly becoming my favorite! It's lightweight and easy to hold/play and sounds fantastic through both my smaller Fender amp and larger Orange. It's a good size - not too big, not too small, and in my opinion would be absolutely great as a first guitar for someone starting out but would also be good for someone more advanced! Also, the obvious - it's a gorgeous guitar aesthetically. I will say, though, the color varies depending on the particular guitar for sure. I bought it in store and they had ... I bought it in store and they had two in stock and both were definitely noticeably different when it came to the color. One was darker, the other was more vibrant, but neither of them really looked as bright and striking as the photos online. So, I'd say definitely go in and take a look at it if you're able. Other than that, though, I've definitely fallen in love with this guitar and especially for the price would recommend it all day long!
