I had a good experience with the actual razor, but it was a completely different story when I bought the refill cartridges. I don't know if it was a bad batch of razors, or if the company has perhaps changed something about the engineering. All I know is that I opened a fresh new razor, and it HURT to use! It was actually painful to shave, and it felt like I was being sliced with each pass. I seriously cringe at the thought of shaving with that razor. I had used it about 5 times before buying a different brand, which I really didn't want to do, because razors are quite expensive to me. Unless I got this box of razors replaced at no cost, and the new ones felt better, I would definitely never buy this product again.

I used to LOVE this razor and refills. I have very sensitive skin that would burn and itch after I would shave no matter how much I moisturized it. Then came along this razor blade with the moisturizing bars. This worked great for me, until they changed it earlier this year. They no longer have the moisture bars, even though they are still advertised on the package. When this happened the first time, I sent them an email and they sent me coupons to replace it. I thought maybe it had been a fluky batch. Then it happened with the next two sets and I knew that it wasn't just a fluke, they had changed the design. I plan on figuring out a new replacement because for the price, this will not due.

I hate shaving. Its not that I have a tough beard, I just have a tender face. And these razors glide over your face like wet ice on wet ice. Make sure to lather up your face really good and make light, short strokes with these razors and your face will feel amazing.

These blades, unfortunately, seem to be the second option. After the second shave, they start feeling a little rough, whereas the ones I usually get, they tend to really last me for almost month (I don't shave daily, but I would say I tend to do it every other day). The gel doesn't last for more than a week, but the blades usually remain sharp after it's gone. In the case of these latest blades I bought, the gel it's still there, but they're started to loose it's edge too soon. I usually buy in bundles and have no problem whatsoever with the product. I don't believe these are original but rather knockoffs. The blade I am using is okay but the blades are visually not all evenly spaced. I have 2 Schick Hydro razors - one for traveling and one for home. I just replaced my travel one with my last new blade from the store. I then got these blades and replaced my home blade, so it is interesting to compare these pretty much side by side. Besides the visual difference, the blade from the store is a much smoother shave. I was getting multiple nicks shaving with this blade from EBay the first 3 or 4 times. It's not doing that now. I guess you get what you pay for. Don't think I will likely order these again.
Poor quality blades. I've used Hydro blades for years and know what to expect. These are absolutely not brand new. I suspect these are used or recycled blades because they are extremely dull. Every blade was dull. Should have known better - you get what you pay for. Will never buy these again.
I am 65 years old and have been searching for the best razor. I have tried them all, the other company, the triple blades, the double blades, the clubs, the knock offs, the disposables and finally tried the Schick hydro5 and in my opinion it is the best razor I have ever used! It gives me the smoothest shave Ive had and I highly recommend the razors!
I have used disposable razors for years because I couldn't find anything better that justified the higher cost, and was against the "mega-blade" razors because of my past experience with the. If 2 or 3 blade razors pulled and caused skin irritation then more blades would be worse. That has now changed and I'll never go back. . Not only do these blades glide across the skin so much smoother than 2, 3, 4 blade systems, they shave closer with far less irritation and last longer. Store prices are high so buying online is really the way to go. At the rate I was going through disposables I expect my shaving expense with this blade will be the same or less. Better, closer, more comfortable and long lasting. What's not to like?
I was using Schick for some years. I decided to try that Harrys razor to see if it was really just as good as Schick. It was NOT! One Schick razor head will last me 1-2 months. One Harry razor head lasted barely 2 weeks! It was dull to begin with, not at all as sharp as the Schick blades, and rusted after the second use! I will stick with my Schick blades. They may be a little bit more, but they are worth it. They are sharp, cut clean, and one razor head will last almost two months!
There are several 5 blade razors on the market. The schick blades with the schick handle provide a razor that pivots to follow your face, has a comfort strip that follows the blades and you can flip back the comfort strip for a more precisions shave. Schick does all this for less $$ than their primary competitors.
