Schlage S1 Ease Smart Deadbolt Door Lock Black SREEAS1C5BL

I think this deadbolt is a great idea. It certainly helps restrict who has access to your home as you have to actually communicate the password and only comes with 1 key. The installation was very simple - it fit straight into the holes that my existing dead bolt was using which I thought was great so I didn’t have to drill extra holes in my door. The programming of the keypad took a little while to get the hang of, and to set different codes for family members. The only thing it hasn’t done for me (which could be user error) is lock when I enter the passcode to leave the house - I have to use the key which to me defeats the purpose of a smart lock? Like I said - great idea for upping security and I’ll continue to play around with it.

I was kindly gifted this Schlage S1 Smart Lock and was so excited to upgrade our front door lock. After attempting the installation myself (a Novice DIY'er), the instructions were a little hard to follow at times but my Brother in Law came to my rescue and completed the install for me. We needed some minor adjustments to the existing hole in the door but it fit well in the end. I love the sleek look of the Smart Lock and find the app very user friendly. The features are a great addition to the house and i feel very secure. I like that we can set and change codes remotely and that I can choose to be notified of the lock being manually opened from inside. Overall, I would recommend this lock to a more intermediate DIYer or suggest having it installed by someone who is.

I can’t tell you how excited I was to receive the Schlage Ease smart deadbolt, and I couldn’t wait to have it installed. After years of coming home with arms full of work items and groceries, getting to the front door finding it locked, I was in full mode to get this out n my door. Finding a tradie at the moment is like trying to find a pot of good at the end of a rainbow, but once I had him, he wasn’t going anywhere until this was sorted. I can now come home and unlock the door from my phone before even getting out of the car. And my hubby doesn’t get an earful from sitting inside the house with the door locked laughing at me as he hears me drop everything looking for keys. Do yourselves an absolute favour and grab one of these hot little items!!

WE LOVE the Schlage Ease S1 Smart Deadbolt. The perfect present for any family. So great feeling safe and secure knowing that no keys will get misplaced and each person has their own special unique code which can all be recorded using the separate Wi-Fi bridge. It worked great for our recent pet sitter to visit as required with a code that was made for them and deleted once not needed. Highly recommended!

I was pretty excited to be selected to try out this deadbolt and, while installation wasn’t entirely smooth sailing, once installed correctly, ease of use has been exceptional. This is an electronic , keypad operated deadbolt, that can also be used with a key on the outside and a thumb-turn on the inside. Some of my favourite aspects are being able to program individual codes for each family member to use, the ability to lock the bolt from the outside with no key and the ability to hide your code when entering it, with a string of random numbers. We did run into some difficulty during installation, as the hole wasn’t drilled out quite wide enough for the bolt, and this made it malfunction. I received this product for free from Influenster and Gainsborough in exchange for my honest review. It’s a smart deadbolt lock which can be controlled with WIFI through the app. Installation was super easy and only took about 20 mins all up. I really love the design of the lock, it matches our door handle which is nice. The design itself is really sleek and modern. The app is really intuitive and easy to use.

We were really excited to try this one - but unfortunately it was a bit of a fail! What the product doesn’t seem to mention is that it won’t work correctly on some doors (our home is 15-20 years old) and has door frames where the strike plate hole depth seems too short for the deadbolt - so when we lock the door it takes 3 tries before it will actually lock. A really good improvement for this product could potentially be an adjustable depth for the deadbolt - as they are not one size across the board. In terms of installation, it was user friendly when instructions were followed easy to understand. I really like this lock. Its super smart and super easy to use. It means were no longer stuck at our door struggling to find the keys in our bag to get inside. It also has a Bluetooth function that allows you to monitor who enters your premises from anywhere. However sadly for me I still have not worked out how to get it to show up via Bluetooth in the app, despite Google searches and trouble shooting. The idea of this lock is amazing. Once I get it working to its full potential I will be happy.

We love our new smart lock and can’t do without it now! It’s great to have so many options of unlocking/locking our door - with a pin, through the app and with a key. Our most favourite is that it locks automatically within 30secs so it provides great security. You can even set up a personal pin for each family member or temporary ones for friends and visitors - and know who locked/unlocked the door through the app. The only downfall for me, is that there can only be one admin - so only one person within the household has full access and can set up temporary accounts - it would be nice to have at least 2 admin accounts. All in all, it makes for a worthy investment and would be wonderful for everyday but especially when away or on holiday.
