Science Diet Salmon Wet Kitten Food Can Size 82gx24

OK, so I love hills science cat food. But I gave this salmon wet cat food one star because it always gives my cat the runs. He will have poop on his fur and I tested it three times just to like confirm. And this flavor can is 20 cents less than the other flavors. I don’t know if that’s like coincidence or salmon is cheaper than chicken. I don’t know. So my advice would be to buy one of this can flavor and see how your kitten reacts to it before buying a few like it did.

So i have fed my kittens dry & can science diet kitten food since we rescued them off a highway about a yr ago- they were about 3-4 weeks old at the time! My kittens are almost 1 yr old. They are still kittens even though getting bigger. And they still love the can science diet kitten food! Every one loves it! Its a good consistency! And no leftovers!!! Its a win!!!

Hill's Kitten With Salmon Pate

Attempted to feed at both morning and evening meal, for several days. Results were same, out of 18 cats, only ONE would eat and only a handful of bites. Food was rejected at first sniff, so I am assuming odor is off-putting. I also did not care for aroma. Consistency was a soft pate.

Hill's Science Diet kitten food

I received my package from Chewy for Hill's Science Diet Kitten wet food. I received a well packaged case of 24, 5.5 oz cans of Savory Salmon entree. It was plastic wrapped within a hard cardboard box to keep them from being damaged during shipping which is very important to me and I'm sure many others. I have a momma kitty that is nursing her new babies as well as a few kittens that have been transitioning to food from their momma. I feel like this food is great for nursing and expecting mothers and of course kittens. I have gone through about half of the case so far and have not noticed any of them turn their noses up to it. It has a soft consistency with just the right amount of moisture which is important for growing kittens to be able to chew it and not choke on it. I have searched the product for pricing and that would be my only con to it. It is a bit on the expensive side but I feel taking a star away isn't worth it so still 5/5. I would recommend this to anyone on the fence of a high quality product to feed your small members of the family.

My kitten likes it so far.

My 6 months old kitten likes it so far. She finished the potion and asked for more. It's pate, so it's soft. I added some warm water to mix since she has a sensitive stomach, I didn't want to give her too much at once. It has same smell as the kibble. I tried to give my one year old cat, he didn't like the taste as much as the kitten.

My kitten won't eat it

I've offered this food to my kitten several times in the past couple days, and each time she sniffs it and then tries to bury it. She won't eat it at all. The texture is weird too - it's a thin pate with lots of hard, dry chunks in it. It's unfortunate, since all my animals eat science diet dry food and enjoy it, but the wet food was not a hit.

Newton's favorite

We got Newton a month ago at 12 weeks old. This Hills Brothers kitten salmon is his favorite. We bought him a case of another name brand's better food and he leaves that in his bowel and prefers the Science Diet. He has quite an appetite and always tries to eat our older cat's and dog's food, but this is his favorite.

PORK is the FIRST Ingredient in this Salmon Entree

Feel tricked. The first 4 ingredients are water, pork liver, salmon, pork products in that order. I wondered why my two 4 mo old kittens would not touch it. I've tried about 10 other wet kitten foods and they have eaten all on them except this one. My first thought was that I got a bad batch since it's Hills & they know how to make quality foods. It could happen to anyone. The sole reason I bought it was to add premium Salmon food to the rotation since I love Salmon and is rich in Omegas. After opening the 3rd can & the monsters' rejection, I decided to read the ingredients and I was so stunned I was angry. I assist with a colony and we currently have three kittens that have been released into our barn for acclimation and I tested the kitten food on them first. At first look the large 5.5 ounce can would be a great size for multiple kittens to share, but when I opened the can expecting a pate looking substance I was met with a gloppy kind of pureed looking product. But knowing it doesn't necessarily matter what it looks like as long as they like it, I dished it out. All three kittens dove into it, took a few bites, then decided it wasn't for them. One ended up trying to cover it up like it was in his litter box.
