I purchased another bag of Supreme Selection last week. I noticed the packaging was different. This new food is not as soft because I couldn't easily break in half. My two house bunnies rejected my offering immediately. Over the next four days we tried to get them to eat it. They wanted no part of THIS. They pouted. They absolutely loved the old recipe. I compared the ingredients and there are considerable differences. The nutritional analysis is different too. They FINALLY ate some today after I rubbed the juice from a Honeycrisp apple on the pellets. From the comments I've read here there may be other bunny caregivers having this same experience. To the manufacturer: NEW is not always improved.

My buns wasn't even thinking about eating it. Just had a sniff and turned away when introduced, ate all her old food and none of this one when given for several feeds. Passed it on to a friend with 2 young buns who both had the same reaction. Bit of a waste of money.

Presented this food to my bunnies - they would not give it a second sniff. Opening the packet, there isn't a fresh smell of grass like you get with some other brands. This smells as bland as the recycled paper bedding that I use for their litter box. In fact, I might as well use it for that purpose. Thought I'd try something different from the Burgess brand, but there is no comparison. Burgess all the way.

Excellent bunny food
22 July 2017

Last year my bunny got really sick and I almost lost him which would have been devastating. I took him to the vet to find out his tiny body was full of bacteria. The doctor suggested Supreme Selective Rabbit Food for my bun. I had been feeding him food from a farm supply store and the vet thought he was sick because of that food. I have a very picky bunny so it was a cross my fingers sort of thing. When I opened the new bag it smelled wonderful!! My bunny is crazy for this food and it's Veterinarian approved!! My bun hasn't had any further problems. He is very healthy and I am very happy about that!! I 100% recommend this rabbit food. I have a good friend in the Netherlands and she feeds her bunny Supreme Selective too!

Great for Picky Rabbits!
9 December 2020

Great high fiber pellets for picky rabbits that won't eat hay. My bunny refuses to eat hay and wouldn't eat most pelleted food we tried, especially the healthy ones. She was frequently sick with GI statis because of it. I finally got this food, which was one listed by rabbit advocates as being nutritionally balanced. I chose this because it has higher fiber than many others. I was amazed at how quickly my bunny took to this food, she really likes it! Best of all, this is the 1st time in 3 years that she has gone more than a month without GI problems. It's been 6 months now and we have a very happy, healthy bunny. I can't recommend this enough.

My rabbits' favourite pellets

Of all the brands I've offered to my 2 Netherland dwarves over the years, this by far is their favourite. When transitioning to these at first, they were wary and left them for a couple of hours uneaten, coming back over and over to sniff them to make sure it was OK before taking their first nibble but after that first taste, it's been all head flicks and binkies. They will wake up from their sleep and come running if they smell this in the air!My only concern is that this contains soybeans which I didn't think was good for rabbits (?) and the label says that it "may" contain GMO soy. So, this is the best compromise we've found so far, in terms of being healthy and exciting to eat!

Picky eater? Want a healthier diet? Try this.

I have a young Dutch rabbit, and she has been through two different brands of pellet food, both of which she seemed reluctant or disinterested in eating most days. One thing you'll immediately notice about this Selective rabbit food that perhaps differs from the brand you've been using is that the pellets are BIG and very, very green! Comparatively, the brands I was using prior consisted of very tiny pieces (hardly satisfying for the bunny who loves to chew), and the colors were brown and unappetizing. The Selective pellets are large, vibrant in color, they have texture, they even smell very earthy which I'm sure is part of the reason my rabbit loves to seek them out. Because of the large size, she can enjoy really munching down on them, and the experience is probably much like eating a crunchy treat! As a side note, the packaging and construction of the bag is particularly nice. After switching to this brand (introducing it by mixing with the older brand), she opted not to even touch the older pellets anymore, to the point where mommy has stopped trying to force it! She is extremely happy with meal time now, and eats all of the pellets provided (as a note, I don't give quite as much as before since these pellets are much bigger). My bunny is very healthy with plenty of energy, a shiny smooth coat, good stool, and bright eyes. Overall, I highly recommend getting these pellets for your little one, whether your bun is a picky eater or not! I just believe this is the better meal!

Science selective supreme rabbit food

We used to feed our lops food with seeds & grains, but were told by the vets that it was unhealthy for them, so switched to pellets. These pellets seem to be one of the healthiest ones out there, & put bunnies now happily eat them (after putting up a bit of a fight to get back their old ones). Could be cheaper but so could everything!

I used to use Purina Little Wondes but the manufacturer stopped making it so...I went on a journey to find he something she really liked. I had at least tried 4 other brand and she would barely touch them. While I was looking at reviews I stumbled upon Supreme brand small animal food. Fast forward through all the trial and error food I stumbled upon decided to give this a try and oh boy, does she gobble this down. She's not picky at all with this food. She never leaves her bowl with leftovers. The food has a really nice texture and isn't as dense as the many other foods that's I've tried to get her to eat. I even like the smell of it. She even readily eats it out of my hand. It's more expensive that other food but this stuff she doesn't waste like she did pretty ... MoreI used to use Purina Little Wondes but the manufacturer stopped making it so...I went on a journey to find he something she really liked. Top of the Line Nutrition and Tastes Buns Love!!!
28 October 2018

After the vet told me the pellets I was using were making my bunnies fat, I searched the Internet for a healthier solution using the nutritional guideline on fiber, protein, vitamins, etc., that the vet recommended. This was the top of the line brand that could be purchased in the US. However, I could only find it sold, at a reason price, shipping cost and time frame, here at Petco. Well, per usual, we received our order lickety split from Petco. The pellets looked scary-healthy with their larger size and healthy green appearance, but, they were devoured by the buns without hesitation. I've noticed that they clamor at their enclosure when I'm doling it out. It's too early to tell how it is working on the weight management end, but I have confidence that it is better ... MoreAfter the vet told me the pellets I was using were making my bunnies fat, I searched the Internet for a healthier solution using the nutritional guideline on fiber, protein, vitamins, etc., that the vet recommended.
