This is great or not so much depending on your intended use with this item. I got it for the Bluetooth audio. Using the aux to directly connect its perfect and everything I wanted. I don’t love the call feature as it’s a little muffled. Using the fm feature is just ok as there is a little static.

I tried the SCOSCHE BTFMPD3SR-SP USB-C Power Delivery Bluetooth Hands-Free Car Kit. This kit comes with a Bluetooth receiver you plug into the power port (cigarette lighter) of your car. You can then tune the receiver to any unused radio station, connect your phone via Bluetooth, and like magic, you can play music from your phone on the speakers in your car. You can also answer telephone calls. If your vehicle has the 3.5mm input jack you can connect via cable as well. The receiver also conveniently has a USB C 3.0 charging port and a USB A charging port to keep your devices fully charged. This was a very simple solution to my mini van not having Bluetooth. I can now listen to my music over the car speakers. Set to an unused FM station with full static and make sure the Scosche volume setting is set above 20. As well check that the music playing on your source phone plays with low distortion otherwise you will get unstable treble cracking. So turn off any equalizer sound enhancers. BT connection is solid. Charge ports work perfect. Make sure to check that the instore is not higher than website. Had to go back so was a big inconvenience. Cashier will not adjust unless you tell them.

If you are looking for something that has bluetooth feature for attending phone call while driving as well as charging your phone, this is the device for you. Connecting with your phone via bluetooth is a matter of seconds. There are dual ports for charging your devices, FM channel display, microphone, tuning lever for FM radio and a channel button to change the channel. A cable is also included with this for AUX Out. For FM transmission, press CH button and turn the tuning lever to change the channels. You can also play music by connecting your non-bluetooth device through the cable provided. At first it took me a bit to find a station that worked best with little or no static, but once I did it sounded great. The only problem is it's almost useless as a hands free telephone. It is almost impossible for people to hear you on any phone call without shouting. If there was an input for an external mic it would almost make this thing work a lot better. So I can only recommend this for music and not phone calls.
I bought this a couple of weeks ago, and it did not work in my 2006 Volvo S60. Apparently, the 12V receptacle in my vehicle is not compatible with the plug in on the Scosche BTFreq Pro wireless car kit. When the device is inserted into the 12V receptacle, it immediately pops out, and the device is not operational in my car. Since it is not compatible with my vehicle, I can only comment on the design and not the features or performance of the device. The device was compatible with the 12V receptacle in my 2013 Toyota Tacoma. The 12V receptacle in the Tacoma is deeper than the receptacle in my Volvo. However, my Tacoma is Bluetooth enabled so I did not test the device. I suggest that the manufacturer update the product information to include compatible vehicles. I plan to return the device.
I purchased a similar one for my other car and was excited to get another one. But let me tell you, the SCOSCHE BTFMPD3SR-SP USB-C Power Delivery Bluetooth Hands-Free Car Kit, was much better than my other one. This one is being used in my second car that my husband drives. What I like about this one is, is that its smaller. It doesn't have any bulkiness to it. It also just plugs in to the cigarette lighter spot, set the FM channel to a static channel and match it up on the device. You then connect your bluetooth to the device. That's it. You can make calls and listen to music. As far as I can tell, no matter, how old your vehicle is, as long as it has the cigarette charger that works and a working FM radio, you can use this! This is the second one I have bought. Within 8 months both became very staticky and even with radio changes there is no improvement. The Bluetooth phone communication works great. It's just that over time it allows more static. In all cases, you have to turn it way up even though the media volume on the phone is high but not high enough to cause feedback. I need a different brand.
I received the Scosche Bluetooth car kit adapter. This little device plugs into your car making it compatible with hands free phone calling and also radio and music. My car already had Bluetooth but my husbands car did not so we were able to use this to utilize the hands free calling. It was not bad to set up at all. You can use music files by also using the included AUX audio cable. You do have to push the button to answer a call still which it isn’t truly hands free. But you can utilize your voice assistant on your phone to make calls like you would normally. I will also note that it charges your iphone as well. The end of this is large and plugs into your cars charging port to make it Bluetooth. Great option for an older car that does not have that capability. ... MoreI received the Scosche Bluetooth car kit adapter. This thing is easy to use and works well at first. Mine is a little over a year old now. The volume has been diminishing for a few months and now it's putting out a lot of static on top of that. For the price I guess it was fair (when I break it down to how much it cost per month before wearing out) and I've had other ones that didn't work as nice to begin with so giving it a 3 star due to never having found a better one (yet)
