Scotch Heavy Duty Packaging Tape 20m - Clear

This past year I had to move from state to state with my partner and pets. Just myself alone, I have enough clothes, shoes, etc. to account for all of us plus more. It was a little daunting not only packing stuff up, but relying on what supplies to get us 600 miles to our destination. Whenever I say I couldn’t have picked a better product than Scotch’s Heavy Duty tape I’m not kidding. I’ve tried other brands in the past and none of them have held up or if they did hold up the tape would’ve dry rotted in a couple of months and was not useful for storage purposes. I still have some boxes I haven’t opened/ needed yet and the tape is still good and strong like I just used it yesterday. This is perfect for taping pkgs to mail or boxes of stuff for storage. It's a strong adhesive clear tape that doesn't pop loose or loose it's stickiness. I use it on my (window unit) air conditioners to seal around the gaps. Once I put it on , it stays on spring , summer and fall until I remove it to put the air conditioners into storage for the winter. I also use it to seal plastic on my windows in the winter , I live in a house that's over 100 years old and it still has it's original windows...which aren't very insulated during cold winter months. This tape is a great multi tasking tape and can be used for just about anything

I couldn’t decide if I wanted to give it a 3 or 4 star. Let’s start with the good thing about this tape. It is very sticky and tough tape. It will keep your package sealed. There is a lot of tape on one roll. Do be careful not to cut yourself on the sharp edge of the tape ripper. It is very sharp to rip the tape. What I don’t like is how hard it is to pull the tape to get a big piece of it. Mine always seems to be loud when pulling out the tape.. With it being so strong and tough you have to be careful not to let it fold or touch something else. It will stick to any thing. I will buy for it is good shipping tape. I am glad I don’t need to use it often.

I used this product to secure all of my moving boxes ! Some of my boxes were even heavy n to full and this tape kept my boxes not only secured on the top but on the bottoms as well ! They were moved to a different town into a storage unit … and then to even another town to my new address ! That’s twice on n off a moving truck as well . I had absolutely zero problems . I was very satisfied! The tape has it own built in cutting blade and it functioned exceptionally well every time ! Yes I will buy this tape again if needed and I DEFINITELY do recommend this tape !

It's tape and it's sticky!

Lowes asked me to write a review. For packing tape. This just continues the tale of why I needed tape in the first place. I started to print a document, but that was the moment my printer decided it needed fresh toner. As if the toner low warning light being on for months wasn't enough, my quick 30-second print descended into this time consuming madness. After searching the house for the replacement toner cartridge and replacing it, I noticed it came with a shipping label to recycle the old toner. This required I reseal the inner envelope and the shipping boxes, but I couldn't because I had no more tape. My 30-second print is now dragging into an hour as I drove to Lowes to pick up something else, but alas here was some tape on an end-cap display. How convenient! I drove home (after paying, of course) and went to reseal the empty toner. But alas, the tape wouldn't come unstuck from itself, as I now spend the next 10 minutes (or 5, or 25, I don't recall because it was annoying) trying to get the danged roll started! So nothing about this print job came easy as I continued to struggle with the tape dispenser, trying to get that first piece off the roll so I could tape up the return toner box. After dragging out a box cutter and attacking the roll, I managed to get it started, luckily without the loss of blood or any other appendages. The used toner safely taped, and my printout in hand, the 30-second job was now completed about 2 hours after I started.TL/DR: It's tape, and it does what it does, but a star off because that initial start took way too long and too many sharp objects.

Outstanding tape for shipping

Having family in another state, I frequently am sending gifts for birthdays, anniversarys, etc. This means boxing up gifts and mailing them. This tape is excellent for sealing boxes. The tape is heavy and seals extremely well. When using UPS, I print my own labels and this tape is perfect for covering that label and still allows them to scan. It is easy to dispense, cut and apply. In fact, one can use the dispenser to affix the tape to the side of the box and pull it over and down onto the other side of the box and quickly cut it using the cutter in the dispenser. It's also great for repairing torn large items like a display poster. I find this tape as an intergal part of my home office not only for shipping but also for many other tasks that require a heavy duty tape.

I received a free sample of 3M Scotch Heavy Duty Packaging Tape and used this product to seal a package to mail. The tape is wonderful! It dispensed very easily and smoothly. This tape is strong enough to tape cartons of books with just one strip! The adhesive on the tape really holds. The other thing I like about this tape is that it is clear so it can easily be used over labels without fear of covering important shipping information. The amount and length could be a little longer but it’s enough. The tear teeth are sharp and make it easy to get any size piece you need.

The BEST tape!

The best packing tape! This is strong tape, but easy to handle. The dispenser is compact but very effective and easy to use. This tape is strong enough to tape cartons of books with just one strip! The adhesive on the tape really holds, unlike other packing tape it won't pull off when you least expect it. I received a sample of this tape and used it and another brand when packing up my daughter's old books. The Scotch brand tape was clearly superior. The other brand needed several strips to hold heavy loads, but the Scotch tape was more secure with a single strip. That saves time and money!
