This was my first time using polymer clay, I made earrings and so far they’ve turned out wonderful. Perfect colors, very bright and eye catching. Super lightweight! I received many compliments while wearing the earrings. I baked at 275 for 20 minutes in a glass dish and covered with a dome of tinfoil. The last thing I used after baking was the sculpey glaze gloss (highly recommend if you want a professional finish) The clay is really easy to mold, if it hardens I suggest heating it up with a hairdryer in your hand and then rolling it around. Unless of course you naturally have heated hands or a hot house then you’ll want to cool it down in the fridge for a few minutes because it will be like play dough (both instances happened and these methods worked) good luck! ... MoreThis was my first time using polymer clay, I made earrings and so far they’ve turned out wonderful. I have been sculpting with polymer clay for over 20 years now. I used to buy from our local craft stores, becaise it was convenient to pop around the corner to restock. A friend mentioned that Sculpey.com had sales and more consistent stock, so I gave it a try and have not looked back! Not only do they nearly always have what I need in stock, but the consistency is MUCH better! Way too often at the craft atore the colors I needed would be hard and dried out, nearly unworkable. Clay bought from sculpey.com, on the other hand, is always fresh and a pleasure to work with! The occasional sales or clearance priced colors are just icing on the cake. I would 100% recommend to any polymer clay sculptors to buy direct from the website. It's worth waiting a bit for your clay ... MoreI have been sculpting with polymer clay for over 20 years now. My daughter loves working with this Sculpey III Oven Bake clay. She makes the cutest little figurines with it! She finds it very easy to work with, and it comes out of the oven stable & strong. (Occasionally smaller projections will break off; when that happens, they're usually pretty easy to fix with super glue)

Easy to work with
5 February 2024

I’ve been making clay figurines for over a year now. I started out using sculpey & have stuck with sculpey. I’ve tried other clay brands but nothing really comes close to the quality that sculpey has & there aren’t as many colors to choose from with other brands. I’ve built a small business for myself using sculpey & will continue buying sculpey forever!

Fantastic Color

I bought Sculpey III only for this delicious Berry color. I'm a "Premo only" user but HAD to have the Berry. I don't know if the newer colors are only offered in Sculpey III but my store didn't have it in Premo. SO... I blended the S. III with Premo trans & also with Premo Glitter White. I used 2/3 Premo & 1/3 Sculpey III. I think it cured the same & is just as strong & retained the original color even after baking. Blending the two also helps with firmness. During summer, Sculpey III can get super soft. It's much easier & nicer when blended with Premo, especially for uncomplicated caning. It's great to know I can use Sculpey III with the same results if I blend it with Premo.Sculpey III & Premo have the best colors out of all the brands. This clay is super easy to use and it makes crafting fun! My niece took some and decided to make things with me because she liked how things looked like after being baked. You can make all kinds of things with it, basically anything you can think of! So far we’ve made little figures from a video game she likes, some things for necklaces, Christmas ornaments. You can make so many things! I totally recommend this to anyone and EVERYONE looking for some clay to begin crafting.

Hardly any glitter
10 September 2023

Sculpey 3 is generally good for what I'm using it for (mini food etc) I needed to restock my white clay, so I quickly grabbed this. I didn't even realize until I got home and unwrapped it that it has glitter in it. It's such a sparse sprinkling of fine glitter that you don't really see it well, and I would imagine if I did need a white glitter clay I would need to add more glitter. I keep going in my stash and still almost grabbing some of that but then inspecting and noticing glitter. Contains fine iridescent clear glitter.

My favorite!!
27 April 2023

I used this last night and it is the best clay I have used. I am fairly new to this craft, yet I have used several different brands of clay already. This is by far the nicest clay I have ever worked with. It did not take much conditioning, it didn't make my hands sore like others I have used. Some of the different brands are just miserable, and even after adding a bit of oil to condition, I ended up throwing it out. But this Sculpey III is a dream to work with!! And the pearl sheen of this particular one is so expensive looking and beautiful even after baking. When in doubt, alway go with Sculpey III, you can't go wrong.

No shrinkage or post-work movement at all

This product is really nice, I can't believe I've been schlepping it with Staedtler Fimo Air Dry for this many years in my sold clay miniatures. This does not experience -ANY- shrinkage or movement after creation, so the state that you put it in the oven is the exact state it's going to come out. So many different clays out there, especially within brands which is very annoying-- but here finally landed on it. It's the one. I also really like that the instructions are really true. So many times with products, there's fudging of the manufacturer's instructions you have to do to get it right, but with this, you really do exactly what it says and it's all smooth sailing. The finished product is weighty. For my work, I'm going for that, weight is a plus. Try it you won’t be disappointed

Amazing colors and plenty to work with. First off I forgot how much fun it is to play with clay. When I first opened Sculpey I had a flashback of playduh from childhood. The mix of colors that is listed to purchase are great. And mixing to make new colors are creative and interesting. The biggest surprise is you never know how things will come out. Sculpey 3 is my first play with the product. After reading the reviews about the others I wanted to try 3 myself. It’s easy to maintain, if there was a sticky issue I also purchased the Thinner that helped along the way. To me Sculpey 3 is about making it your way. I plan to create more ideas and neat designs with Sculpey.
