Absolute flimsy Chinese junk

We bought the Sigma pot set and could not believe how flimsy the pot is, the first use the lock tab melted, then on folding the handle the whole pot collapsed in on itself, the metal is so thin you can actually dent it with your fingers, seriously we're not making this up. Junk

Amazing pan

It's not light like a pan and aerospace aluminum, but the pan, premium stainless steel, very secure handles is amazing. Kind of the pot that will last until it gets to my kids.

Careful which side you strain from

It is a great pot overall with some thoughtful design that is clearly based on experience - just be careful with the larger sizes (I got a 2.7L) when straining (say) pasta - if you pour to the right the handle has a nasty habit of letting go which means at best that you are having pasta a la gravel for dinner. If you pour to the left gravity is on your side and you'll probably be OK. Great pot in all other respects but I can't give more than 2 stars for something that is potentially dangerous.

I like it

Pros: Easy to clean, good size pot. good for nesting. Cons: Handle will open if hinge is on the downside. Seems to burn a little easily to bottom. Satisfied with it.

Light but robust

I have purchased the 1.2L pot & the 2.7L pot. I specifically bought the stainless pots so I could scrub them if needed without having to worry about a coating on them with the intention of using them for hiking as well as out camping. Recently used to cook up a storm on Whitsunday Island on my Furno hiking stove, they performed perfectly. The 1.2L nests perfectly inside the 2.7L pot & in the 1.2L pot I had a little stainless steel Zebra bowl, the hiking stove, scrubber, little dishwashing liquid & a lighter. When stored the handle locks in nicely on the 1.2L pot lid keeping the lid tight however the lid is a bit loose still with the 2.7L pot so used a rubber band around the whole thing to keep the lid on while in my pack. I did not have the problems as mentioned in the previous review about the handle coming loose while draining (I was draining water from veggies in the 2.7L pot). ***Make sure the little black tab is locked into the handle when in use and it keeps the handle nice & tight. Also when cooking rice I had a bit of burn in the centre of the pot but it scrubbed off very easily. Would highly recommend these pots!

Love this pot
10 June 2020

I have been looking for a pot that is tough but light. This fits my needs very well. Whether it is used on a day trip or a multi-person backpacking trip. I was tired of aluminum and this is a much tougher pot.

Just updating my previous review after using these for well over a year (close to a year and a half). As I camp alot more then I hike these pots ended up in my drawer system in the back of my ute. I go camping 1-2 wknds a month so they have seen a fair amount of use since my last review. And I am still extremely happy with them. They are used regularly on my camping 2 burner stove (LPG not butane) for all sorts of things from just boiling water in the small pot to boiling veggies to making homemade chips deep fried in oil in the large pot. As they do have a thin base it’s important to remember to keep the heat lower then you would with a normal pot and there shouldn’t be any issues. I still have not had any issues with the handle unclipping when draining veggies ... MoreJust updating my previous review after using these for well over a year (close to a year and a half). I still have not had any issues with the handle unclipping when draining veggies etc. The only issue I have had is the black non slip coating on the outside bottom of the 2.7l pot has gone yukky and feels a bit sticky but that was my own fault from oil dripping down the outside of the pot deep frying chips in it and not cleaned up until the next day. It’s like the oil has reacted with the coating and the coating is lifting up. The small pot still looks as perfect as the day I received it. They are compact thanks to the folding handle & fit in my 4WD drawers great along with all my cooking & eating gear which is perfect when you’re restricted for room for the whole family.
