Packs so small, a bit bigger than a K-cup.Incredibly easy to pack up, the dump valve works so fast. When inflated it doesn't sink inwards, when slightly deflated it maintains it's shape and it's the perfect height! Can't wait to get a S2S sleeping pad to use the attachment system. Before buying I used a MEC Deluxe large pillow and the packed size was literally four times the size and much more balloon like

Sea to Summit has a knack for making inflatable things really comfortable. I don't know how or why, but the reviews prove this out. This pillow is the one, even though it looks like most of the others! I like the Large size best. Very little weight and space penalty compared to the Regular size, and so plush! Even for side sleepers, you don't need to inflate fully. The first time you use it, just blow it all the way up and use the adjustment valve to fine tune it and get it right for you. Then you will know about where to stop adding air in the future. The stacked air valves are ingenious. You get a fully open port for quick deflation, and an adjustment valve all in the same valve assembly. No corners cut here! AWESOME, efficient design! I bought this pillow several years ago, and it's perfect! I've never been one to use clothes in a stuff sack, or prop my head on a backpack. I need a designated pillow. I've tried many backpacking pillows, and this one is the best I've tried so far! Before my purchase, I was hesitant because of the reviews, about it not holding up for very long. Sure enough, after almost 2 years, it started deflating on my last trip. I only go on trips a few times a year, so essentially this pillow had only been used for about 25 nights. It was past the return date from REI, so I called Sea To Summit recently, and spoke with an outstanding gentleman who said their products are guaranteed for life, and he would be glad to replace my pillow at no cost. He went on to remind me that ... MoreI bought this pillow several years ago, and it's perfect! I've never been one to use clothes in a stuff sack, or prop my head on a backpack. He went on to remind me that the life of the pillow was dependent on care,, to always store it unrolled w/ valve open, and not let deet from your skin touch pillow. Wow,, I'm impressed!! New pillow! Thanks Sea To Summit for outstanding gear and awesome customer service!!!!

I know I'm supposed to sleep on a wad of clothes, but technical fabrics aren't super comfy at the end of a long day. This pillow, however, is perfect. I'm a side-sleeper and this is tall enough for sleeping on my back or side, although if I need it taller, I put a sweatshirt underneath to raise the height slightly. It blows up instantly and deflates even faster, and the firmness is easy to adjust. It's soft and pleasant to the touch, and fits inside my sleeping bag hood. It packs into a tiny stuff sack--about the size of a computer mouse. I've taken this on every trip since I bought it and love it. Highly recommend!
Never thought I would ever buy a camping pillow since we mostly car camp. This time, we went away to a 7 day boy scout trip and would need to bring our stuff in. Got myself and my kids this pillow while it was on sale. After I inflated it to the firmness that I wanted, it was very comfy to sleep on. I used a regular sized pillow case with it and that worked out great. All three pillows survived the weeklong torture wonderfully.
Excellent upgrade to my prior backpacking pillow. I've not used lots of different ones, but this is tops for me. Packs small, very lightweight, and functions great. The large size works well for me as a side sleeper, but isn't too tall when in use on my back. It's surface is nice and level, so no holes for my head to roll into like other pillows. Pricey, but worth it for me.
Had been using a memory foam neck pillow that I cut down and stuffed into a small stuff sack and then into a zippered pillow case and it was super comfortable since I am a side sleeper. However, I found after several weeks of trekiing that it started to stay flat and it weighs about 10 oz. I tried several other pillows, including the Exped, which was a close second, but loved how the Sea to Summit felt. It packs down super small and is easy to inflate and deflate in seconds. I got the large, after finding the medium way too small, and it fits well into my sleeping bag. And as mentioned, it's a Great Pillow, but there is no pillow case for it, even an after market one. I am surprised that no one mentioned it because it's important to me. I am surprised that no one mentioned it because it's important to me. The surface is very comfortable, awesome as a matter of fact, but it can not be removed, so how do you wash it? Most other inflatable pillows have a vinyl surface that can be washed or have pillow cases. There are no washing instructions for the Sea to Summit and I am not sure you can just wash it? After a few weeks trekking I always washed my old pillow case and the water is always pretty dirty. I will probably have to try and make a pillow case to fit it, but this is really a big issue for me since I am planning an even longer trek, and this is what keeps it from being a five star product. Other than that, it's a Great Pillow!
I bought two of these prior to our camping trip (wanted to make sure my girlfriend would be comfortable when we camped). I, like many other, grew up doing the stuff sack pillow hack. My girlfriend took the large because thats the type of person she is and she LOVES it. In the car, on the plane, or just laying around at the park - she USES it all the time. She preferred the large because "I can put my arm underneath it when I sleep and it doesn't destroy my arm".I use the regular size because I'm macho like none other and it's amazing. I keep it in my backpack/daypack whenever I leave the house because you never know when you'll need an emergency nap.For functionality - 2-3 breaths and it should be around where you want it comfort wise. Deflation takes all of 1-2 seconds and stores away easily. For my/our first camping pillows - we are extremely happy with it (so far! It's only been about 2 weeks of use).Gave it 4 stars out of 5 simply because I haven't used it long enough to be confident and comfortable with a 5. However, with the amount of instances where we FIND uses for it, could argue 5 stars is appropriate.
After buying two or three cheaper options and not being thick enough or deflating I went with the Sea to Summit Aero Premium. I'm a side sleeper so I like a little thicker pillow. The other options I tried just didn't work for me, but this has been the answer for a pillow! This pillow weighs in with the case at less than 4oz (on my scale) for the large. Inflation was super easy with a couple of puffs of air, and deflation only took literally a couple of seconds.
I thought it was crazy to pay almost $50 for a pillow but it was worth it. I am a couch surfer and need to show up with a sleeping bag and a pillow. I carry a small pack and this pillow in its case is about the size of two decks of cards. It stays put and I really get a good rest. I bought the larger pillow since 4 oz weight is fine for me. The smaller one is 2 oz.I saw a blow up sample in the REI store and thought, I would love one of these, but it is kind of expensive. I kept thinking about it and went back for a second look - decided to buy it and was so happy on my first use.It is easy to blow up and there is a valve that holds the air in between breaths. It costs around 50 euros and is a perfect warm weather or inside couch sleeping bag.Sweet dreams and happy travels.
