The eVAC Dry Sack uses waterproof, air permeable eVENT fabric on the base for valve-free air expelling, allowing compact packing. Instead of straps for compression, you just roll the sack down and air is pushed out of the base to save space and weight. The sack is oval-shaped to resist rolling when laid on their side. Suitable to keep contents dry in any wet situation where the bag is not submerged. Size Variation 5 liter Length 7 in /18cm Width 4 in/10cm Height/Depth 15 in/38cm Weight 1.

I can't say enough good things about all of the Sea to Summit dry bags. I like the technology of the eVent that allows air to push out when you compress your clothes or sleeping bag. I go on many wilderness trips in a canoe or kayak. I was impressed the dry bags held up being roughly stuffed into a kayak during a 108-mile trip in the Everglades Wilderness Waterway. I have not had any issues with any of the bags.

eVac Dry Sack fits perfectly into my Blaze 60 backpack as a pack liner. All my gear is in Dyneema dry bags and then placed into the eVac Dry Sack. This gives me double protection. The eVac Dry sack is great because you can fill it up and compress the air out through the bottom of the bag and then close it like a normal dry sacks with the plastic buckle. The buckle looks sturdy and the re-enforced top edge of the bag makes it easy to roll down and snap close. The bag weighs 131g due to the re-enforce top edge and the plastic buckle. Highly recommend it for the price, craftsmanship, and ease of use.

Just got back from 3 day trip trying out all the new gear I had gotten and the sea to summit bags worked great. The evac dry sacks worked perfectly in my ruck and made packing a whole lot easier. Would highly recommend the evac bags for hiking and backpacking

I divide my loose backpack contents into three categories: food, clothes and accessory items (hygiene, tools, first aid etc.). Spare Clothes can NOT get wet. This waterproof Evac sack crunches dry clothes down nicely, eliminating trapped air. I got rid of individual gallon freezer bags as failsafe for dry clothes. This saves room and keeps water out. I like the idea. A little expensive, but I don’t want to be caught out on a cold night without dry clothes, ever!
This dry bag is the perfect companion to any outdoor adventure. I've used mine both on kayaking and backpacking trips and it does not disappoint. It's lightweight, waterproof, and compressible providing the perfect space to keep clothes dry and clean. The air vent also makes it ideal for cramming into a very full pack. I recommend these bags for any outdoor adventure.
Better than the compression bags for your down sleep bag or quilt. Keeps dry, and can squish in your pack to fill any void, instead of being formed into a hard ball. Also built as a flatter oval instead of round base, so fits very well horixontally in a pack, expecially the 8L size at the bottom, with other gear flattening it down.
At this point I probably own close to everyone of sea to summits dry bags and about 15 bags in total. In my opinion you can’t find a nicer dry bag. I specifically bough this bag here for backpacking and bikepacking. What a cool design in the method that it compresses and releases air out. I’ve already used the bag and they work great! Can’t wait to really test them on a big bikepack coming up.
I want all of my dry bags to be eVac's. The ability to push out the air is an ingenious design. The durability feels tough and I don't fear the bag ripping if it gets tossed from the boat. The buckles are sturdy and well made. The weight is non-existent, it's super light and the fact that the inside is a light color allowing light to reflect seemed like something I was dubious about. But it really is easy to find stuff in. I will be buying many many more.
I brought this bag on my recent biking/kayaking trip to Vietnam-initially I thought it would be my stuff sack for laundry. This bag's versatility far exceeded my expectations: It worked great as a dry bag kayaking, off the bike/walking around town backpack, to keep my beach items sand-free, and as storage for keeping my wet swimsuit and tevas separate from my dry clothes). I would definitely recommend it to other traveler's who look for versatile items to fill multiple functions!
If you are getting a dry sack with the intents on compressing the contents, this is the bag to get. With other dry sacks, you have to try to compress the contents first. Then try to quickly roll down the sack, before the air gets back in.This sack lets you throw your stuff in it. Then roll the bag down and compress as you go. The eVAC slowly lets the air out. So you don't have to deal with a ballon in your pack. Saving space. So, if you intend on comressing your stuff, I'd pay the extra $$ for this sack.
