EXACTLY what I needed to replace the stock stuff bag that came with my western mountaineering Alpinlite bag. They should really team up with Sea to Summit and have this be their new standard stock bag. The 13l was almost exact same size but allowed me to compress extremely small. Thanks Sea to Summit

Compression sacks make the difficult job of stuffing a fluffy sleeping bag into a small space to make backpacking or loading a canoe more efficient. This bag is well designed so that straps don't tangle. It compresses easily because of the straps. It is difficult finding a 35L compression bag but most warm sleeping bags require this size.Sea to Summit is a brand that I trust. However, this bag is water resistant but not waterproof. Since I bought these for a whitewater canoe trip, I realize that the Sea to Summit eVac Dry Sack would have been a better choice. The eVac is a dry sack, waterproof (but not when submerged). It also compresses more easily by rolling the roll top because of the vent. No stuff sack is as effective as a compression bag. Having a dry sleeping bag can save your life ... your sleeping bag belongs in a waterproof compression bag, even if it is carried inside a supposedly waterproof backpack.

Deceptively amazing.

When I first bought it, I thought there was no way my massive sleeping bag could fit inside. I was wrong. Stuffs perfectly in and fast, too. Feels durable and I’ve had no complaints so far. It also compresses down smaller than other similar sacks I’ve tried. 10/10!

Gold standard of compression sacks
25 May 2023

Sea to Summit has always impressed me with all of their products. This is my second compression sack from them, gets the job done. Compressed well, good solid& strong material, and the clip on the one strap is nice for quick access. Plus I love the colour. Will be buying sea to summit for any future compression sacks and other outdoor accessories

Great sack!
17 June 2023

As usual with Sea to Summit the quality is outstanding. It's my 4th one (al different sizes and attributes) and definitely worth the investment if you want a quality item that will last for years. The compression straps are strong and I have had no issues shrinking anything down for a good pack size. And not that it matters out on the trail, but I always like their colours, too. Always have colour-matched bags so I can easily tell what is what right away.

Love it

I use it for a 10 deg hammock under quilt as mine only came with a stuff sack. Works well and is lightweight making it easier to keep things in my bag organized and where I want them in my bag. I've only used it 3 times so far but i don't see any issues of wear and tear for many years as i don't usually beat up a compression sack. I don't store my quilt in it when it's not being used, I just hang it on the hanger with the quilt.

Making big things small.
28 November 2023

When I travel space is important. Not like the whole seeings “billions and billions of stars” at night thing. But more of making big bulky things fit into a smaller space. Kinda like a Tardis in reverse! It’s smaller inside my pack than outside. This works for squishy things only! It will not work for your trail bike…. Don’t ask how I know. Really! I had to sign a non disclosure agreement…

This review is for the 14L, Medium compression sack.I decided to buy a compression sack after using one with a rented -15 degree Celsius bag, and being amazed at how much it shrunk that monster down.Weight: 5 oz compared to 1 oz for a typical sleeping bag stuff sack. As you go make sure to slide a finger under the crescent shaped edges to keep them from digging into the bag. Conclusions:Is the extra 4 oz worth it? It depends. The sack was much more effective at volume reduction on the Kelty bag. It reduced the volume of the warmer REI bag only slightly, but it did change the shape from tall and narrow to short and squat. This may be useful depending on the shape of the space allocated for a sleeping bag in your backpack.

The Alice sack
6 August 2024

I bought the largest size, put my sleeping bag in loose and all my spare clothing for a long trip in 2 mesh bags. When compressed this creates more spare volume and is easier to pack than using multiple compression sacks. It's only water resistant so I also use a large ultralight pump sack as a dry bag.

absorbs rain water.
18 August 2024

compresses sleeping bag and air pad fairly well. works as designed.the downside, it says water repellant, got caught in 5 min. of rain on motorcycle and my sleeping bag was completely soaked. so no, it isn't water resistance, as soon as water hit it, it absorbed it and my contents got wet. thats okay, it was a test run and gives me the opportunity to replace it before a big road trip.
